St. Johns or Saint Johns is the largest city and county seat of Clinton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 7,698 at the 2020 census. St. Johns is located in the north of Clinton County, surrounded by Bingham Township (although the two are administered independently). St. Johns is about 18 miles (29 km) north of Lansing, Michigan's capital city, and is part of the Lansing–East Lansing metropolitan area. St. Johns has been nicknamed the "Mint Capital of the World".

The Giles J. Gibbs Building, also known as the Sugar Bowl, is a commercial building located at 12 North Clinton Avenue in St. Johns, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Union School, also known a Central Elementary School, was an educational building located in St. Johns, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The school building has been replaced by a housing development.

Bingham Township is a civil township of Clinton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township had a population of 2,859.The township is named for politician Kinsley S. Bingham, who served as Michigan's 11th governor and also a U.S. representative and senator. Bingham Township surrounds the city of St. Johns, but the two are administered autonomously.

St. Johns High School is a public school located in St. Johns, Michigan, United States. It is within Clinton County.

WWSJ ("Joy 1580 & 100.3") is an AM radio station broadcasting from St. Johns, Michigan on 1580 kHz, featuring a black gospel format. The station transmits with 1,000 watts during the day using a directional antenna that sends the signal primarily to the north and south (including Lansing, Michigan). At night, it operates with a 3 watts. In the summer of 2010, WWSJ began to simulcast on translator W262BD 100.3 FM licensed to Dimondale, Michigan, enabling it to get clearer FM coverage of the Lansing area day and night. W262BD operates with 22 watts from a transmitter in the heart of Lansing; despite being licensed to Dimondale, its primary signal contour does not actually reach Dimondale. W262BD is owned by Educational Media Foundation and had previously operated using EMF's Air 1 format; although EMF continues to own the translator, it is being programmed by the owners of WWSJ.

The Lake Border Moraine (also called the Lake Border Morainic System) is a complex group of moraines bordering the southern end of Lake Michigan. It can be traced north along the eastern shore of the lake basin and across the highlands between the northern Lake Michigan and Saginaw Bay. It continues around the Saginaw Basin into the "thumb" of Michigan, and south through southeastern Michigan on the eastern side of the "thumb." Along Lake Michigan, north to Holland the system is close to the shore. From Holland north to Oceana County it is 15 miles (24 km) to 25 miles (40 km) east of the shore. In Oceana County it forms the prominent "clay banks" along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. It again bears inland from Hart, where more recent moraines reside between it and Lake Michigan. It runs north of the great interlobate moraine that exists between the Lake Michigan and Saginaw lobes of the Laurentian ice sheet. A little north of Cadillac turns to the east. A short distance from Cadillac, it splits with the southern ridge or outer member heading to the Saginaw basin. The northern ridge heads towards Lake Huron, but turns south before reaching the shore. In Newaygo and Lake counties it rest on an earlier interlobate moraine. It separates in Wexford and Missaukee counties to continue south along the west side of the Saginaw basin.

Clinton County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 79,128. The county seat is St. Johns. The county was created in 1831 and organized in 1839. It is named after early American politician DeWitt Clinton. Clinton County is included in the Lansing-East Lansing, MI Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Stony Creek Bridge is a bridge located on a private road over Stony Creek in Olive Township, Clinton County, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. It is the last example of a queen post truss bridge extant in Michigan.

Olive Township is a civil township of Clinton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,476 at the 2010 census.

Sleepy Hollow State Park is a public recreation area covering 2,678 acres (1,084 ha) in the townships of Ovid and Victor in Clinton County, Michigan. The state park is located off US-127 nine miles southeast of St. Johns and four miles northwest of Laingsburg and centers on man-made, 410-acre (170 ha) Lake Ovid.

Lake Ovid is a reservoir located within Sleepy Hollow State Park, Michigan, created in the 1970s with the construction of a dam on the Little Maple River. With an average depth of 10 feet (3.0 meters), Lake Ovid is generally fairly shallow, with depths never exceeding 23 feet (7.0 meters).Many freshwater fish live in the lake including Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill, Rock Bass, Crappie, Channel Catfish, Muskellunge (Muskie), and Northern Pike. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has been monitoring the fish population annually and has determined that the smaller species of panfish have been reproducing prolifically and future stocking is going to focus on Muskellunge and Catfish. These predatory species have plenty to eat in the lake and an increase in their numbers will bring a balance to the ecosystem. A boat landing is available at no charge to anyone with a Michigan State park sticker on their vehicle and is located on the west side of the lake. A "no wake" policy is enforced on the lake in order to maintain a peaceful fishing and boating environment. Many anglers choose to propel their vessels using electric trolling motors which allow for stealthy approaches to fishing locations and wildlife viewing. Canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are available for rent from the park for $25 per day. The dam holding back the Little Maple River is about 30 feet in height, over 1,000 feet in length and is constructed of earthen mass. The drainage area encompasses over 10 square miles.
