Lake Tiorati

Fingerboard Mountain is a mountain located southeast of the hamlet of Central Valley in Orange County, New York.

At 47,527 acres (192.33 km2), Harriman State Park is the second largest state park in New York State. Located in Rockland and Orange counties 30 miles (48 km) north of New York City, it is a haven for hikers with over 200 miles (320 km) of hiking trails. The park is also known for its 31 lakes, multiple streams, public camping area, and great vistas. The park's hiking trails are currently maintained by volunteers from the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference. On its northeastern edge, Harriman State Park borders the 5,000-acre (20 km2) Bear Mountain State Park as well as the United States Military Academy's 16,000-acre (65 km2) forest reserve. To the southwest, it partly borders the state-owned 18,000-acre (73 km2) Sterling Forest reserve. These areas, together with the state's Storm King forest reserve of 1,900 acres (7.7 km2), amount to contiguous protected forests that are substantially larger than Harriman alone.

The Ridgefield School District is a public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in Ridgefield, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2017-18 school year, the district, comprising nine schools, had an enrollment of 4,908 students and 398.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1.

Sandyfield was a settlement of about 30 houses in the Town of Ramapo in Rockland County, New York, United States, that was submerged in 1928 when swampy Beaver Pond was dammed to create Lake Welch in Harriman State Park.

Arden is a historic estate outside Harriman, New York, that was owned by railroad magnate Edward Henry Harriman and his wife, Mary Averell Harriman. By the early 1900s, the family owned 40,000 acres (63 sq mi; 160 km2) in the area, half of it comprising the Arden Estate. The main house is at the top of a mountain east of the village, reachable by Arden House Road from NY 17. Since 2011, it has been owned by the nonprofit Research Center on Natural Conservation, which operates Arden House as a conference center with 97 guest rooms.

The Lemon Squeezer is an unusual rock formation in Harriman State Park, New York. It is located at the intersection of the Appalachian Trail (White) and the Arden-Surebridge Trail (Red Triangle), near the base of Island Pond Mountain in the town of Tuxedo. The trail initially passes under a large boulder resting on top of other rocks. After passing this point, the nature of the Lemon Squeezer becomes apparent as the hiker gets "squeezed" through a path that is three feet (1 m) high, one foot (0.3 m) wide, and angled 15 degrees. The trail then continues through additional rock formations where pine trees grow on top of a thin rock ceiling above the path. The Lemon Squeezer was discovered and named by J. Ashton Allis, one of the founders and literal trailblazers of the Appalachian Trail, who in 1921 first scouted and marked the Arden-Surebridge Trail.

Jackie Jones Mountain is a 1,253-foot-tall (382 m) mountain in the state of New York. It is located west of Stony Point in Rockland County. In 1928, a 60-foot-tall (18 m) steel fire lookout tower was built on the mountain. The tower ceased fire lookout operations at the end of the 1988 fire lookout season, and was officially closed in early 1989. The tower is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register, and is open to the public.

Lake Kanawauke is a primarily man-made lake in Harriman State Park. The name is Onondaga in origin, and means "place of much water". There are three parts to the lake, lower, middle and upper; the total area is 186 acres (0.75 km2). It is located in the Town of Tuxedo in Orange County and the Town of Haverstraw in Rockland County, both residing within the state of New York.

Harriman station is a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad's Port Jervis Line, serving the village of Harriman, New York, the town and village of Monroe, and the town of Woodbury in Orange County, New York. Before its use as a station, the area was better known as "Newburgh Junction" and was where the Erie Railroad's mainline separated from the Newburgh Shortcut (and, later on and more importantly, the Graham Line). This junction was controlled by "NJ" interlocking tower and, while the mainline has been abandoned since 1983, the wye remains intact.

Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is an outlet center located in the Central Valley section of Woodbury, New York. The center is owned by Premium Outlets, a subsidiary of Simon Property Group, and takes its name from the town in which it is located. Opened in late 1985, expanded in 1993, and again in 1998, the center now has 220 stores occupying more than 800,000 square feet (74,000 square meters) and is one of the largest contiguous outlet centers in the world. Due to its size, different areas are color-coded to help orient themselves. Due to its proximity to New York City, Woodbury Common is a major attraction for foreign tourists visiting the region. Japanese tourists have been overtaken by Chinese tourists as the most frequent foreign visitors. Tour buses and shuttles make daily trips from New York City, the center employs a staff of interpreters, and currency exchange and foreign shipping services are available on site. Guests are greeted in several languages other than English including Japanese, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
