The U.S. Post Office at 522 North Central Avenue at 1st Avenue and West Fillmore Street in Phoenix, Arizona, also known as the Federal Building-U.S. Post Office, is a building of the United States federal government that was built in 1932-1936 and designed by Lescher and Mahoney in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is currently part of Arizona State University's Downtown Phoenix Campus, where it houses student organizations, counseling services, administrative offices and the ASU Police Department. A USPS location is situated on the first floor of the old post office.

Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix campus (ASU Downtown) is a public research university in Phoenix, Arizona. It is one of five campuses of Arizona State University. The school was built in line with ASU President Michael M. Crow's "One University, Many Places" initiative and was built with cooperation from the state of Arizona and local governments.

The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication (often abbreviated to The Cronkite School by its students and faculty), is one of the 24 independent schools at Arizona State University and is named in honor of veteran broadcast journalist Walter Cronkite. The school, which is located at the downtown Phoenix campus, offers several undergraduate and graduate programs in journalism, and in fall 2011, launched its first doctoral program in journalism and mass communication.

Civic Space Park is an urban park in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona which first opened to the public in April 2009. It is located directly across Central Avenue from the main part of the ASU Downtown Campus. It is also located north of the Central Station METRO Light Rail and bus transfer stations.

Her Secret Is Patience is a public art sculpture commission designed by artist Janet Echelman for the city of Phoenix. Its creation was the result of collaboration between the artist and a team of award-winning engineers, architects, planners, and fabricators. It is located downtown in the Civic Space Park across from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. The sculpture consists of painted, galvanized steel; polyester twine netting; and colored lights. The piece cost $2.5 million. The title of the piece is a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson and during construction it was unofficially titled Sky Bloom.

The Watts College of Public Service & Community Solutions (formerly the College of Public Programs) is one of the 24 independent school units of Arizona State University. It is located at ASU's Downtown Phoenix Campus in Arizona. Founded in 1979, the college awards bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees and is organized into four schools and 17 research centers. The programs are divided amongst the School of Social Work, the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, the School of Public Affairs and the School of Community Resources and Development.

The Knights of Pythias Building in Phoenix, Arizona, was built in 1928. It has served as a clubhouse and as a specialty store. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.It was designed by local architects Lescher & Mahoney.

The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law (ASU Law) is one of the professional graduate schools at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. The school is located in the Beus Center for Law and Society on ASU's downtown Phoenix campus. The law school was created in 1965 as the Arizona State University College of Law upon recommendation of the Arizona Board of Regents, with the first classes held in the fall of 1967. The school has held American Bar Association accreditation since 1969 and is a member of the Order of the Coif. The school is also a member of the Association of American Law Schools. In 2006, the law school was renamed in honor of retired United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. ASU Law is ranked 30th overall in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, the 12th-highest public law school, and the higher-ranked law school of the two in Arizona.

Freeport-McMoRan Center (formerly One Central Park East) is a highrise located in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It is located adjacent to Arizona State University's Downtown campus. Upon completion in 2009, the building was the first high-rise office tower to open in Downtown Phoenix in nearly eight years. It is named for mining company Freeport-McMoRan whose headquarters are located in the building.

Van Buren/1st Avenue station and Van Buren/Central Avenue station, also known as Central Station, is a pair of Valley Metro Rail stations in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Despite having at least four different names, it is all actually one facility, which serves as a stop for various city buses. The rail station is the 17th stop westbound and the 12th stop eastbound on the initial line segment. The station is configured in an island platform design, with the southbound platform which is located on 1st Avenue at Van Buren Street and the northbound platform located on Central Avenue at Van Buren Street, approximately 400 feet (120 m) apart from one another.

Roosevelt Community Church, formerly First Church of Christ, Scientist, Phoenix, is an historic church building located at 924 North First Street, in Phoenix, Arizona. On August 10, 1993, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The previous First Church congregation now holds services at 830 North Central Avenue.
