White–Haines Building

Current is a soft fiber sculpture by Janet Echelman, installed in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The work is suspended over High and Gay streets in Downtown Columbus. The sculpture was installed in May 2023. It is intended to represent the changing urban fabric of the city, and is situated around a large redevelopment by Jeff Edwards, who paid for the sculpture.

The High and Gay Streets Historic District is a historic district in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.The district includes 18 buildings, including three that are non-contributing, and one contributing building that has since been demolished. The buildings span three of four blocks surrounding the intersection of High and Gay Streets; the northwest block was predominantly used for parking at the time, with only one building, the Rankin Building (separately listed on the NRHP), on that block. Its boundaries are Wall St. on the west, Elm Aly. on the north, Lynn St. on the east, and Pearl St. on the south.The 15 contributing buildings range from two to ten stories in height. Their architecture styles include Italianate, Classical Revival, early 20th century commercial, mid-century modern, vernacular, and Art Moderne. The buildings are considered eligible for their quality of design and representation of noted Columbus architects. In addition, their association with the 19th and 20th century development of the city's High Street business corridor adds to the district's qualification.A block east reaching to Third Street was determined eligible for the National Register in 1990, as the East Gay Street Commercial Historic District. Several of the High and Gay contributing buildings were a part of the earlier nomination as well. The 1990 nomination failed due to opposition from property owners. Several were approached again for the High and Gay listing, but again did not support listing.The row of buildings at 72-84 North High are in the process of renovation, and were awarded historic preservation tax credits. The buildings were listed on Columbus Landmarks' 2019 List of Endangered Properties as the tax credits expired and the buildings continue to deteriorate.

The Buckeye Building, also known as the Buckeye State Building and Loan Company Building, is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The 16-story building was built from 1926 to 1927. It was the headquarters for the Buckeye State Building and Loan Company, and after 1949 for the Buckeye Federal Savings and Loans Association. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The building was converted into a hotel, opening as a Marriott Residence Inn in 2008.

The Atlas Building, originally the Columbus Savings & Trust Building, is a high-rise building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, built in 1905 and designed by Frank Packard. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The building has seen two major renovations, in 1982 and 2014.

The Citizens Building is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2013, and was listed as part of the High and Gay Streets Historic District, on the National Register of Historic Places, in 2014. The building was built in 1917 for the Citizens Trust and Savings Company. It currently houses the Citizens, 63 apartment units managed by Drucker & Falk. It also houses Veritas, one of Columbus's fine dining restaurants, as well as a cocktail bar, The Citizens Trust, run by the same owners. The building also houses the flagship location of Brioso Coffee, which relocated there in 2019.

The Rankin Building is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was completed in 1899 by L.L. Rankin. It was built for the Buckeye State Building and Loan Co., which Rankin was president of. The company later moved down the street to the Buckeye Building. A Neoclassical facade was added in 1930 when it became the Union Building Savings and Loan Company building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The building's current tenant is the Diamond Exchange, a local jeweler owned by a former chair and current member of the city's Historic Resources Commission.

Ringside Café is a restaurant and bar in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The restaurant is considered the oldest bar or restaurant in Downtown Columbus, having opened in 1897 and operated continuously since then. The restaurant has always been an attraction of politicians, lawyers, reporters, and lobbyists, given its proximity to the Ohio Statehouse, Columbus City Hall, and other government buildings.

The William J. Lhota Building is a historic office building on High Street in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building is primarily known as the headquarters of the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), the city's transit system. It is owned by COTA, with some office space leased to other organizations. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of the High and Gay Streets Historic District in 2014.

Skylab Gallery is an independently run gallery and performance space in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It has been active since at least the year 2000, serving as a significant exhibition space for the independent art community in Columbus. The Space Station Skylab has most notably been a significant venue for the contemporary underground experimental music and noise rock scene, hosting local, national, and international performers. The other floors of the building have been consistently occupied by artists as well.

8 East Broad Street is a building on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. Built in 1906, it was the tallest building in the city until the LeVeque Tower was built in 1927. Presently, it is a residential building, housing condominiums in a development called "8 on the Square".

The Hayden Building, also known as the Hayden-Clinton Bank Building, is a historic building on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. Built in 1869, it is one of the oldest remaining commercial buildings on Capitol Square. It was designed by Nathan Kelley, one of the architects of the Ohio Statehouse.

16 East Broad Street is a building on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. Completed in 1901, the building stands at a height of 168 feet (51 m), with 13 floors. It stood as the tallest building in the city until being surpassed by 8 East Broad Street in 1906.From 1927 to 1939, the eleventh floor of the building served as the office for the National Football League. Joseph F. Carr, a Columbus native, was president of the NFL at the time.
