Tananger

Risavika is a harbour located in Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. Risavika harbour is an important transportation hub for nearby Stavanger, as well as port facility for shipping and the Norwegian oil industry.

Fladholmen Lighthouse or Flatholmen Lighthouse (Norwegian: Fladholmen/Flatholmen fyr) is a coastal lighthouse in Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The lighthouse is located on a small, flat islet located just west of the village of Tananger. The lighthouse was established in 1862, rebuilt in 1952, and replaced with an electric lamp in 1984.The 8.2-metre (27 ft) tall, concrete lighthouse is white with a red top. The light sits at an elevation of 17.5 metres (57 ft) above sea level. The occulting light is on for 3 seconds, then off for 3 seconds. The light is white, red or green depending on the direction. The 35,100-candela light can be seen for up to 12.5 nautical miles (23.2 km; 14.4 mi). The station includes at least two 1+1⁄2-story keeper's houses and several other buildings.

Tananger Chapel (Norwegian: Tananger kapell; historically called Tananger Church) is a historic parish church of the Church of Norway in Sola Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Tananger. It used to be the church for the Tananger parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1879 using designs by the architect Henrik Nissen, who adapted plans made by Hans Linstow. The church seats about 250 people. The church was in use from 1879 until 2002 when the new Tananger Church was completed about 100 metres (330 ft) east of the old church. Now, the old church (now called "chapel") is used only for very special events and it can be rented for weddings.

Kvernevik is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Madla, located at the mouth of the Hafrsfjorden.The 1.46-square-kilometre (360-acre) neighborhood had a population in 2005 of 4,714 people. In Kvernevik, there are four kindergartens, a sports hall, and two schools (Kvernevik School and Smiodden School). There is also the Alexander Kielland monument, commemorating the victims of the Alexander L. Kielland accident in 1980. Near this monument, there are also rock carvings.

It is located in the village of Sunde in the borough of Madla in the western part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Sunde parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The brick and concrete church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1984 using designs by the architect Reidar Vollan. The church seats about 650 people.

It is located in the borough of Madla, located along the Hafrsfjorden, just south of Kvernevik. The neighborhood has a population of 4,104 which is distributed over an area of 5.74 square kilometres (1,420 acres). Sunde Church is located in this neighborhood.

Solastranda or Solastranden (English: The Sola Beach) is a 2.3-kilometer (1.4 mi) long sandy beach in Norway, located 2-kilometer (1.2 mi) from Stavanger Airport, Sola and 15-kilometer (9.3 mi) from Stavanger. The beach is a popular beach for swimming and sunbathing in the summer. Windsurfing and surfing are popular all-year-round activities at Solastranden. Sola Strand Hotel that also houses toilets and dressing room facilities is at the south end of the beach. A farm beach resort also offers dining and banquet facilities. There are also traces of German military activity from World War II. Sola Golfcourse is nearby the beach.

Svarthola or Vistehola is a cave and an archaeological site, located in Randaberg municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 9 m (30 ft) deep cavern is located on the Viste farm, about 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of the city of Stavanger, situated near the shore of the Visteviga bay, at the mouth of the Hafrsfjorden. The site has yielded numerous Neolithic artifacts that have been excavated and discovered in and around the cave.

It is located in the village of Solakrossen. It formerly was the main church for the Sola parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The stone church was built in a long church design in 1955 using designs by the architect Gustav Helland. The church seats about 300 people.

Flyhistorisk Museum, Sola (Sola Aviation Museum) is an aviation museum located in Stavanger Airport, Sola, near Stavanger, Norway. The museum was founded in 1984 and is run by local volunteers. Flyhistorisk Museum, Sola went into cooperation with Jærmuseet in January 2012.
