Sunde Church (Norwegian: Sunde kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sunde in the borough of Madla in the western part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Sunde parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The brick and concrete church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1984 using designs by the architect Reidar Vollan. The church seats about 650 people.

In Kvernevik, there are four kindergartens, a sports hall, and two schools (Kvernevik School and Smiodden School). There is also the Alexander Kielland monument, commemorating the victims of the Alexander L. Kielland accident in 1980. Near this monument, there are also rock carvings.

Krossberg is a village in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located in the city of Stavanger in the borough of Madla between the Stokkavatnet and Hålandsvatnet lakes.The 0.11-square-kilometre (27-acre) village has a population (2019) of 390 and a population density of 3,545 inhabitants per square kilometre (9,180/sq mi).

The large, brick church was built in a fan-shaped design in 2002 using designs by the architect Olav Urstad. The church seats about 400 people.

It is located in village of Kvernevik in the borough of Madla in the western part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Hafrsfjord parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1864 using designs by the architect Hans Linstow. The church seats about 300 people.

Tananger Chapel (Norwegian: Tananger kapell; historically called Tananger Church) is a historic parish church of the Church of Norway in Sola Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Tananger. It used to be the church for the Tananger parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1879 using designs by the architect Henrik Nissen, who adapted plans made by Hans Linstow. The church seats about 250 people. The church was in use from 1879 until 2002 when the new Tananger Church was completed about 100 metres (330 ft) east of the old church. Now, the old church (now called "chapel") is used only for very special events and it can be rented for weddings.

Svarthola or Vistehola is a cave and an archaeological site, located in Randaberg municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 9 m (30 ft) deep cavern is located on the Viste farm, about 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of the city of Stavanger, situated near the shore of the Visteviga bay, at the mouth of the Hafrsfjorden. The site has yielded numerous Neolithic artifacts that have been excavated and discovered in and around the cave.

The borough was added to the city of Stavanger in 1965 when the old municipality of Madla was merged into the city.The borough of Madla have several historical landmarks. During the Viking Age (790-1066 AD), the Battle of Hafrsfjord was fought in the fjord of Hafrsfjord around the year of 872. The violent conflict became one of the most significant battles in the history of Norway as Harald Fairhair was declared the first king of Norway as a result of the conflict.There are three churches in the borough: Revheim Church, Madlamark Church, and Sunde Church.

Randaberg is the administrative centre of Randaberg municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located at the northern end of the Stavanger Peninsula, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of the village of Grødem and about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) northwest of the centre of the city of Stavanger. The European route E39 highway passes just outside of Randaberg to the east. The village is the site of the municipal administration for Randaberg municipality as well as the site of Randaberg Church. Randaberg Stadion, the main stadium for the Randaberg IL sports club is located in Randaberg village.

Randaberg is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Jæren, at the northern end of the Stavanger Peninsula. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Randaberg. Randaberg is located just north of the city of Stavanger. It is the northernmost conurbation of the Stavanger/Sandnes area, one of the largest urban areas in the country. The Byfjord Tunnel connects the islands of Stavanger Municipality to the east with the mainland of Randaberg. The Rogfast tunnel is going to be built from Randaberg, under the Boknafjorden, to the north side of the fjord as well as to the island of Kvitsøy. The 25-square-kilometre (9.7 sq mi) municipality is the 350th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Randaberg is the 99th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 11,671. The municipality's population density is 483.7 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,253/sq mi) and its population has increased by 12.3% over the previous 10-year period.

The International School of Stavanger (ISS), previously known as the Stavanger American School (SAMS), has existed in Stavanger since 1966 and at last count was the largest independent school in Norway. They are an English speaking, non-profit international school, educating students from Pre-school through Grade 12. They currently have around 600 students from over 50 countries; this includes 19% Americans; 17% British; and 16% Norwegians, which are their three largest groups. They also have 120 staff from over 20 countries, and seventy-six of the staff are teachers. They teach two international and transportable curricula, International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB). These curricula are for transient international families who are primarily associated with oil companies or NATO, as well as a smaller percentage of local or localized families who wish for an international education in an international school environment. The school often goes in a dip of population because of its reliance on the oil industry. ISS is located on grounds by the local fjord(lake) where the historic Battle of Hafrsfjord occurred. This fjord is right next to a small beach and Sverd i Fjell. The school grounds are very large, with football fields. ISS offers a full program for students that includes academics, as well as many clubs and activities. Their sports teams play against the NECIS family of schools in Europe and their students and staff regularly travel to European destinations.
