The Polyvalente de l'Érablière (or also called École Secondaire de l'Érabliere; English translation: Maple Tree High School) is a french language public high school located in Gatineau, Quebec. It is located in the Côte d'Azur/Limbour district of the Gatineau sector at the intersection of rue de Cannes and Boulevard la Verendrye.

The École Polyvalente Le Carrefour is a public high school located in Gatineau, Quebec. It is run by the Commission Scolaire des Draveurs school board in Gatineau and enrolls over 2 300 students and employs a staff of about 175 including teachers, administration and custodial staff.

Les Promenades Gatineau is a major shopping centre located in Canada's National Capital Region in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. The mall is the intersection of Gréber and Maloney Boulevards, one of the city's busiest intersections, and is just off Autoroute 50. It is the city's largest shopping mall by retail space and by shoppers.

CFTX-FM (96.5 MHz) is a commercial Francophone radio station based in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. The station broadcasts a French sports format branded as BPM Sports. It is owned by RNC Media with radio studios and offices on Jean-Proulx Avenue in Gatineau. CFTX-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 1,750 watts. The transmitter is on Boulevard St.-Joseph at Rue Bourque, near Quebec Autoroute 5.

Leamy Lake (in French: Lac Leamy) is a lake in the Hull sector of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. The lake is located just to the south of the Gatineau River, and just west of the Ottawa River, and is linked to both of them with flowing in from the Gatineau and exiting to the Ottawa. To the south is the Lac de la Carrière, a former quarry that is now a lake that is also linked. The lake is named after Andrew Leamy, an Irish settler in the region who operated a mill near the lake. He was married to Erexina Wright, the granddaughter of Hull's founder, Philemon Wright. The area became heavily industrialized in the nineteenth century. Much of the industry left the area after the Second World War and in the 1960s much of the area around the lake was turned into a large park. The beach on the lakeshore became a popular swimming location, however there were persistent problems with pollution, mainly flowing in from the Gatineau River. To solve this the inflow to the lake was blocked in the 1970s. This solved some of the problem. By the 1990s the Gatineau River had become much cleaner, and the stagnation of the lake was causing its own problems, the channel was thus reopened. On the southern shore of the lake, between it and Lac de la Carrière, is the Casino du Lac-Leamy, one of the region's major tourist attractions.

The Versant District (District 14) is a municipal district in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. It is represented on Gatineau City Council by Daniel Champagne. The district is located in the Gatineau sector of the city and includes the northern half of Old Gatineau and surrounding subdivisions.

Philemon Wright High School is an anglophone high school located in the Hull sector of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. It is administered by the Western Quebec School Board and named after Philemon Wright, founder of Hull. Philemon Wright High school also offers an Enriched French program course to students. The school was constructed in 1968. Its first principal was Clyde MacTavish, who remained in his position until 1976. Students who enrolled in Philemon Wright High School during its first year only had access to the second floor of one block in the building, resulting in over sixty students per classroom until Christmas, when the first-floor classrooms were ready for use.The building that houses the school is shared with Hadley Junior High School, which contains students from grades 7–8. The two schools are associated with each other within the Western Quebec School Board and share a website.

Collège Saint-Alexandre is a private secondary school (high school) located in Gatineau, in the Outaouais region, in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is located on Rue Saint-Louis in the Limbour neighbourhood of Gatineau. Founded in 1905 by the Communauté des pères du Saint-Esprit, the Collège is an establishment for boys and girls offering a general education program for young people in French, leading to a high school diploma. Once exclusive for boys, it became an inclusive (boys and girls) institution in 1990. Known for its solid reputation of superior education, ranking in the top 15 of all high schools in Québec, it attracts students from all over the region, particularly from the towns of Ottawa, Hull, Gatineau, Cantley, Chelsea, Aylmer, Buckingham and Masson-Angers. The school's motto is Vitam Impedere Vero, which comes from the Latin poet Juvenal. It means, "To devote one's life to the truth." The land used for the school was bought by Alonzo Wright, a Canadian politician.

The Casino du Lac-Leamy (formerly the Casino de Hull) is a government-run casino located in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. The casino was opened on March 24, 1996, in the former city of Hull, Quebec, the third of a group of casinos built by the provincial government to raise funds. Ottawa, the larger city across the Ottawa River, was also planning to build a casino in the early 1990s, but these plans were blocked by the Government of Ontario. The Gatineau casino thus also serves the nearby city of Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. It is operated by Société des casinos du Québec, a subsidiary of Loto-Québec. In 2016, the casino provided the government with some CA$244,679,000 in profit, employed more than 1,400 people and attracted more than two and a half million visitors.The casino is built on a rocky precipice over what was once International Portland Cement Company quarry but is today Lac de la Carrière. This lake is home to a large fountain, whose jet is visible through much of the old Hull sector during the summer. To the east of the casino is Leamy Lake (in French: Lac Leamy), from which it gets its name. Attached to the casino is a 349-room Hilton hotel. The casino also has an 1,100-seat theatre that has become one of the main music venues in the Outaouais region. The casino is also home to several bars and restaurants. In the casino itself there are more than 1,800 slot machines and more than 65 tables including roulette, blackjack, baccarat, craps, and Texas hold 'em poker. It is open 24/7.

CJEU is a Canadian radio station licensed to broadcast a French language children's radio format at AM 1670 in Gatineau, Quebec. The license is held by Fondation Radio-Enfant, a non-profit educational agency. CJEU’s transmitter is located off of Chem des Terres in Musee, Quebec. Fondation Radio-Enfant was originally granted a short-term license, with the call sign CIRC, on 96.5 FM for the duration of the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie in 2002 and in 2003, Fondation Radio-Enfant was also granted to operate at 1250 kHz on the AM dial (formerly used by CBOF), however, due to possible technical issues, the station never went on the air. The 96.5 frequency in Gatineau was later reassigned to CFTX-FM, and Fondation Radio-Enfant was granted a permanent AM license in early 2007 to operate at 1670 kHz.Initially, CJEU played music mainly in French and sung by children. Most of the music that is played, however, was not professionally recorded.In late 2010, the station was renamed as Radio Oxygène, expanding its programming to include programs for teenagers and young adults. Programming for younger listeners was renamed Radio-Enfant-Ado. At one point, the station was known as Radio Jeunesse. In 2015, the CRTC approved an ownership change for CJEU from Fondation Radio Enfant du Canada to Radio Communautaire Enfant-Ado de Gatineau-Ottawa.

The Gatineau River (French: Rivière Gatineau, French pronunciation: [gatino]) is a river in western Quebec, Canada, which rises in lakes north of the Baskatong Reservoir and flows south to join the Ottawa River at the city of Gatineau, Quebec. The river is 386 kilometres (240 mi) long and drains an area of 23,700 square kilometres (9,200 sq mi).

Chapleau is a provincial electoral district in the Outaouais region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It is located within the city of Gatineau. It was created for the 1981 election from a part of Papineau electoral district. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory shifted slightly to the west. It gained territory west of Autoroute 50 from Gatineau electoral district, but lost some of its easternmost territory to Papineau electoral district. It is named after former Quebec Premier Joseph-Adolphe Chapleau who was in power from 1879 to 1882. For its first four decades, the riding was a Liberal stronghold. Located in the strongly federalist Outaouais region of West Quebec, the riding has many immigrants, federal public servants, and bilingual households, which are all demographic groups that tilt heavily towards the Liberals during provincial elections. More than 70% of the riding voted against sovereignty during the 1995 referendum. The riding fell out of Liberal hands for the first time in 2018, when the Coalition Avenir Québec seized it en route to taking government.
