Robert F. Carr Memorial Chapel of St. Savior, "God Box", is a modest, one-story brick building situated near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and 32nd Street on the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) campus in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Notably, this is the only nonsecular structure designed by German-American modern architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who at the time served as the director of the School of Architecture.Bishop Wallace Conkling of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago proposed the construction of the chapel in the late 1940s with the notion that it would be a "great educational project of the atomic age." IIT's religious and spiritual organizations currently use the "God Box" as a "center of campus spiritual life" for meditation, weekly services, and other meetings.

Dunbar Park is a park located at 300 East 31st Street in the Douglas community of South Side, Chicago, Illinois.The 20-acre (81,000 m2) site was acquired in 1962, and transformed into Dunbar Park between 1964 and 1966.The park was named for poet Paul Laurence Dunbar.Chicago Park District commissioned Chicago artist and sculptress Debra Hand to create a bronze statue of Dunbar in 2012. The statue, which is 9 feet (2.7 m) tall, was unveiled at the park in 2014.

The Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) is a private optometry college in Chicago, Illinois. Graduating approximately 160 optometrists a year, it is the largest optometry college in the United States and is the oldest continually operating educational facility dedicated solely to the teaching of optometrists. The college complex incorporates more than 366,000 square feet (34,000 m2) including an on-site eye care clinic, electronically enhanced lecture center, library, computerized clinical learning equipment, cafeteria, fitness center, and living facilities.

The Kent House, also known as Sydney Kent House or St. James Convent, is a Queen Anne style house located at 2944 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The house was designed in 1883 by Burnham & Root for Sidney A. Kent. From 1896 to 1906, it was the home of barbed-wire industrialist and robber baron John Warne Gates, better known as "Bet-a-Million" Gates for his gambling excesses. In the early 20th century, it served as the main building for what is today, National-Louis University. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, and it was designated a Chicago Landmark on March 18, 1987.

Pilgrim Baptist Church is a historic church located on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, USA. The landmarked building was originally constructed for a synagogue, Kehilath Anshe Ma'arav. The church is notable both as an architectural landmark and for the cultural contributions by the congregation of the church. Located at 3301 S. Indiana Ave, the church is in the heart of Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood.

31st Street was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's South Side Main Line, which is now part of the Green Line. The station was located at 31st Street near State Street in the Douglas neighborhood of Chicago. 31st was situated south of 29th and north of 33rd. 31st opened on June 6, 1892, and closed on August 1, 1949.

The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) is a building on the main campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology, in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. The McCormick Tribune Campus Center opened September 30, 2003. A single-story 110,000-square-foot (10,000 m2) building, it was the first building designed by architect Rem Koolhaas within the United States.

33rd Street was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's South Side Main Line, which is now part of the Green Line. The station was located at 33rd Street and Wabash Avenue in the Douglas neighborhood of Chicago. 33rd was situated south of 31st and north of Tech–35th, which is now named 35th–Bronzeville–IIT. 33rd opened on June 6, 1892, and closed on August 1, 1949. Portions of the station remained in service as part of Tech–35th until September 25, 1961.

The Roloson Houses, also known as the Robert W. Roloson Houses, are a group of four adjacent row houses in the Douglas community area of Chicago, Illinois, United States. The houses were designed in 1894 by architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) for client Robert W. Roloson (1848-1925). Construction was begun in 1894 and completed in early 1895. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. They were designated a Chicago Landmark on December 27, 1979.

Dunbar Vocational High School (also known as Dunbar Vocational Career Academy, or DVCA) is a public 4–year vocational high school located in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Dunbar opened in 1942 and is operated by the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) district. The school is named in honor of the African–American poet, novelist, and playwright Paul Laurence Dunbar.

The Calumet/Giles Prairie District is a historic district in the South Side, Chicago community area of Chicago, Illinois, United States. The district was built between 1870 and 1910 by various architects. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on July 13, 1988.
