The Kwakel is a village in the municipality of Uithoorn, North Holland, the Netherlands, near the border with South Holland. Having 3880 inhabitants in 2006, it's close to Kudelstaart and Aalsmeer.

Vrouwenakker is a village in the Netherlands, about 12 km southeast of Hoofddorp. It lies largely in the municipality of Nieuwkoop (formerly Liemeer), in the province of South Holland, but a small part lies in the municipality of Uithoorn, in North Holland. Until 1989 Vrouwenakker was part of the municipality of Mijdrecht, but was then rearranged into the municipality of Liemeer after the amalgamation of Mijdrecht and surrounding municipalities. The statistical area "Vrouwenakker", which contains the part of the village in South Holland and the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 310.

FC Aalsmeer is an association football club from Aalsmeer, Netherlands. The club was founded on Augustus 1, 2014 through a merger of VV Aalsmeer and RKAV Aalsmeer. The two clubs had already partially merged in 2010 combining their youth football departments as Young Aalsmeer United. FC Aalsmeer has leading Saturday and Sunday squads and a total of 6 Saturday teams, 6 Sunday teams, 1 women's football team, 1 seniors team, and many youth teams. It plays at Sportpark Hornmeer.

De Hoef is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen, and lies about 13 km northeast of Alphen aan den Rijn. Flowing through the village is a meandering river called "de Kromme Mijdrecht", the width of which varies between about 8 and 35 metres. On average, it is used by about two freight ships per day, but in summer the river is full of pleasure boats. It was first mentioned in 1639 as De Hoeff, and means "parcel of land". In 1840, it was home to 266 people. In 1921, the Roman Catholic Antonius van Padua Church was built.

Liemeer (Dutch: [liˈmeːr] (listen)) is a former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It was merged into the municipality of Nieuwkoop on January 1, 2007. The municipality covered an area of 30.98 km² of which 0.76 km² is water. Its population was 6962 in November 2006. Liemeer consisted of the communities of Nieuwveen, Noorden, Vrouwenakker, and Zevenhoven. The former municipality of Liemeer was established as a renaming of Nieuwveen in 1994.

Kudelstaart is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Aalsmeer, and lies about 10 km southeast of Hoofddorp. The village was first mentioned in 1237 as Sconedorpe. The current name is a combination of "fish net" and "long, thin piece of land". Kudelstaart developed around 1200 as a peat excavation settlement. In the 13th century, it was split between Holland and Utrecht. In 1724, the heerlijkheid was bought by the city of Amsterdam.

Noordeinde is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Nieuwkoop, and lies about 10 km northeast of Alphen aan den Rijn. In 2001, the town of Noordeinde had 561 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.12 km2, and contained 196 residences.

Uithoorn (Dutch pronunciation: [œytˈɦoːr(ə)n] (listen)) is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland.

Amstelhoek is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, about 3 km (1.9 mi) northwest of Mijdrecht. Amstelhoek lies on the river Amstel, directly across from Uithoorn. It was first mentioned in 1936 as Amstelhoek, and means "corner of the Amstel river". It was named after the fortress. The village developed around a bridge built in 1636, and used to be named Mennonietenbuurt, meaning Mennonite corner, because a Mennonite church was built in the hamlet. The Mennonites left around 1800, and sold the land and church to the Protestants in 1804. The village was home to 187 people in 1840. Between 1885 and 1895, two big forts were built near the village as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam. One of the forts was named Fort bij Amstelhoek.

Waverveen is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, 3 km west of Vinkeveen. Waverveen was a separate municipality until 1841, when it was merged with Vinkeveen to form the municipality of Vinkeveen en Waverveen. Until 1 October 1819, Waverveen was part of Holland. The economy is mainly based on agriculture. It was first mentioned in 1339 as "toit Waverveen", and means "moorland of the Waver (river)". In 1672, French troops entered the village and demanded hay for their horses. They were not satisfied by the amount of hay, therefore, burnt to the village and killed several inhabitants. In 1840, it was home to 484 people.

Oude Meer is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, and lies about 7 km east of Hoofddorp. Oude Meer has a population of around 230.Before its disestablishment, Air Holland's head office was in Oude Meer. Several large firms benefit from the close proximity to Schiphol Airport, including FedEx and Ushio Europe B.V., which chose Oude Meer as the location for its headquarters by occupying offices at Sky Park. The adjoining Fokker Logistics Park houses several hubs for logistical companies such as DSV

Blokland is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Liemeer, and lies about 12 km northeast of Alphen aan den Rijn.The area Blokland, in which the hamlet is located, used to be part of Uithoorn, but became part of Mijdrecht in 1811. The eastern half of the area, Polder Blokland, still is part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen in the province of Utrecht (which includes Mijdrecht); the western half of the area, part of Polder Zevenhoven, is part of Liemeer in the province South Holland. Confusingly, the hamlet itself lies in Polder Zevenhoven; the houses in Polder Blokland are part of the hamlets Kromme Mijdrecht and De Hoef.
