Shedd Park (Lowell, Massachusetts)

Lowell Cemetery is a cemetery located in Lowell, Massachusetts. Founded in 1841 and located on the banks of the Concord River, the cemetery is one of the oldest garden cemeteries in the nation, inspired by Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Many of Lowell's wealthy industrialists are buried here, under ornate Victorian tombstones. A 73-acre (30 ha) portion of the 84 acres (34 ha) cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Belvidere Hill Historic District encompasses a residential area on the east side of Lowell, Massachusetts known for its fine 19th-century houses. The area, roughly bounded by Wyman, Belmont, Fairview, and Nesmith Streets, was developed beginning in the 1850s, and was one of the finest neighborhoods in the city, home to many of its business and civic leaders. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Rogers Fort Hill Park Historic District of Lowell, Massachusetts, encompasses the largest single residential development made in the city in the 19th century. The district includes the area historically associated with the Rogers Farm, purchased in 1805 by Zadock Rogers. His daughters sold off most of the property in two parcels in the 1880s: land to the south of their homestead was sold to the city, and most of it was developed into Fort Hill Park, while that north of the homestead was sold to developers. The district is roughly bounded by High Street, Mansur Street, Concord Road, and Lowell Cemetery. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Hoyt-Shedd Estate is a historic residential estate at 386-396 Andover Street and 569-579 East Merrimack Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. The houses at 386 and 396 Andover Street are large Stick style mansions, built about the same time (c. 1873) and designed by the same architect. They were built for the friends and business partners E. W. Hoyt and F. B. Shedd. Together they made a fortune selling perfume and related products.The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 17, 1984, and was included in the Andover Street Historic District on June 2, 2000.

Stoklosa Alumni Field is a baseball field in Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Originally opened on May 1, 1902, it was rebuilt in 1996 as a temporary home of the Lowell Spinners. The Spinners played at the field for the 1996 and 1997 seasons before moving to Edward A. LeLacheur Park on UMass Lowell's east campus. The field was also home to the Lowell All-Americans of the New England Collegiate Baseball League between 2000 and 2010. Following the 2010 season, the franchise moved to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. The stadium has been home to multiple teams, initially housing the Lowell Tigers from 1902 to 1905. It was then vacant until 1910 when the Lowell Grays moved in. They left in 1919, and after being used partially by multiple other teams until 1922, including the Salem Witches after their move, it was unused until 1996 when the Lowell Spinners began to use it. The venue is currently used by the Lowell High School varsity baseball team. It holds 4,000 people.

The Andover Street Historic District is a linear residential historic district in the Belvidere neighborhood of eastern Lowell, Massachusetts. The district encompasses large, fashionable houses and estates that were built between the 1860s and the 1930s. It includes properties at 245—834 Andover Street, and at 569 and 579 East Merrimack Street. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Wamesit Canal-Whipple Mill Industrial Complex is a historic mill and canal at 576 Lawrence Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. This industrial area of Lowell, located on the Concord River, underwent a major expansion from a more modest millworks in the mid-19th century by Oliver Whipple, a manufacturer of gunpowder.

Cawley Memorial Stadium is a 6,000-seat multipurpose stadium in Lowell, Massachusetts primarily used for football, soccer, field hockey, track and field and lacrosse. The stadium was named after Edward Cawley, a landowner who owned several plots of land near the stadium on which the complex sits. The City of Lowell has always controlled this facility. The stadium is the home field for Lowell High School teams, and for the Lowell Nor'easter of the New England Football League. The stadium was used until 2014 for the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association State Finals for marching band. The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse used it from their creation in 2001 through 2003 as their home field. The New England Patriots (the Boston Patriots at the time) played a part of their inaugural season at the stadium. (Patriots founder Bill Sullivan was a graduate and later Distinguished Alumni of Lowell High School.) The stadium was constructed in 1937 as a WPA project. In 1998, the facility was improved with new visitor bleachers and cosmetic improvements to the home side. During the summer of 2006, the grass of the playing field was replaced with Field Turf.

Holy Trinity Parish - designated for Polish immigrants in Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Founded in 1904. It is one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Archdiocese of Boston.

The United States Cartridge Company explosion occurred on July 29 1903, in present-day Lowell, Massachusetts. The explosion of two buildings used to store dynamite and gunpowder killed 22 people and destroyed 13 homes.

The United States Cartridge Company was an early manufacturer of cartridge ammunition for small arms. The company was founded in 1869 by American Civil War general Benjamin Butler. Company startup was during the most rapid evolution of cartridge design to date. Lowell, Massachusetts emerged as one of the most successful cartridge producers in the United States while Butler served as a congressman from Massachusetts from 1867 to 1879 and as governor from 1883 to 1884. After supplying 65 percent of American small arms ammunition production for World War I, the company was acquired by the owner of Winchester Repeating Arms; and the Lowell factory closed as manufacturing shifted to New Haven, Connecticut.

The Flagg-Coburn House is a historic house at 722 E. Merrimack Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. Built in 1926 for a local industrialist, it is the first known example in New England of the distinctive residential work of New York City architect Ernest Flagg. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
