Peppermill Village, Maryland

Carmody Hills-Pepper Mill Village was a census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland during the 2000 census. The combination was arbitrary, and in the mind of most local people there are two separate communities: Carmody Hills and Pepper Mill Village. For the 2010 census the area has been renamed as the Peppermill Village CDP.

Carmody Hills is an unincorporated community in Prince George's County in the U.S. state of Maryland. Because it is not formally incorporated, it has no official boundaries, but the United States Census Bureau has defined a census-designated place consisting of Carmody Hills and the adjacent community of Pepper Mill Village, together designated "Peppermill Village", for statistical purposes. (At the 2000 census the area was delineated as "Carmody Hills-Pepper Mill Village".) Carmody Hills is located on the south side of Seat Pleasant Drive and east of Seat Pleasant.

Central High School is a public magnet high school, located in the Walker Mill census-designated place in unincorporated Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, with a Capitol Heights mailing address. The school is part of the Prince George's County Public Schools system. The school hosts the county's only high school-level French Immersion magnet program, as well as an International Baccalaureate (IB) magnet program. The school also participates in the Advancement Via Individual Determination program. The principal is Keishia Wallace. Central High serves: most of Walker Mill, a section of the Town of Capitol Heights, a section of the City of Seat Pleasant, most of Peppermill Village CDP, and a portion of Summerfield CDP.

National Harmony Memorial Park is a private, secular cemetery located at 7101 Sheriff Road in Landover, Maryland, in the United States. Although racially integrated, most of the individuals interred there are African American. In 1960, the 37,000 graves of Columbian Harmony Cemetery in Washington, D.C., were transferred to National Harmony Memorial Park's Columbian Harmony section. In 1966, about 2,000 graves from Payne's Cemetery in D.C. were transferred to National Harmony Memorial Park as well.

Seat Pleasant is an incorporated city in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, located immediately east of Washington. Per the 2020 census, the population was 4,522. Two state highways pass through the community — Maryland routes 704 (now called Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and previously named George Palmer Highway in honor of banker and community leader George Palmer) and 214 (Central Avenue). The Washington Metro's Blue and Silver Lines are nearby. The Washington Commanders' stadium is east of Seat Pleasant, near the Capital Beltway (I-95/495).

Morgan Boulevard station is an island-platformed Washington Metro station in Summerfield, Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, with a Landover postal address. The station was opened on December 18, 2004, and is operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). It provides service for the Blue and Silver Lines.

Summerfield is a census-designated place near Landover in Prince George's County, Maryland. As of the 2020 census, the population was 14,758. It is a suburb of Washington, D.C. FedExField is located in Summerfield CDP, as is the Prince George's County Sports and Learning Complex.Prior to the 2010 Census, the area was not covered by another census-designated place.

Maryland Park is an census designated place in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It first appeared as a CDP in the 2020 Census with a population of 965.

Cedar Heights is an census designated place in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. Per the 2020 Census, the population was 1,597.

St. Matthew's Church, also known as Addison Chapel, is a historic Episcopal church located at Seat Pleasant, Prince George's County, Maryland. Addison Chapel was first established in 1696 as a chapel of ease for St. John's at Broad Creek. The parish it served was one of the thirty original Maryland parishes and was named for Colonel John Addison, of Oxon Hill plantation, a leading proponent of the Anglican Church. His descendant Walter Dulaney Addison, who was for a term Chaplain of the Senate also served as rector here. It is also associated with the Pinkney, Dulany, Lowndes, and Calvert families. In 1983, the vestry voted to vacate the structure and form Holy Redeemer Episcopal Church in Landover. The chapel was not convenient to where the parishioners lived, and a covenant placed by the Maryland Historical Trust barred the installation of indoor plumbing. The Episcopal Diocese of Washington agreed to continue weekly services for another five years, which ended in 1988.

FedExField (originally Jack Kent Cooke Stadium) is an American football stadium located in Landover, Maryland, 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Washington, D.C. The stadium is the home of the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). From 2004 until 2010, it had the NFL's largest seating capacity: over 91,000. In 2021, the capacity was reduced to 58,000. The stadium is owned and managed by the Commanders.
