St Hilda's Church is the parish church of Bilsdale Priory, a parish in the valley of Bilsdale, in North Yorkshire, in England. The first church on the site was founded by William Espec in 1122. It was restored and partially rebuilt in 1813. In 1851, it was replaced by the current building, designed by Robert Richardson Banks and Charles Barry Jr. It was Grade II listed in 1966. The church is built of sandstone, and has a clay tile roof, with spiked tiles on the ridge. The building consists of a five-bay nave, two-bay chancel, north vestry and south porch. At the west end is a double bellcote and below a small tower and spire. There are lancet windows throughout, with the east window having three lights. Inside, there is a chancel arch with dogtooth moulding, and an arch-braced timber roof.

Cringle Moor (also known as Cranimoor), at 432 m (1,417 ft), is the third-highest hill in the North York Moors, England, and the highest point west of Clay Bank. The hill is crossed by the Cleveland Way National Trail and is a part of Alfred Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk, which also passes over the neighbouring tops of Cold Moor, Carlton Moor, Live Moor and Hasty Bank — a section of the walk which Wainwright described as "one of the finest". It is also part of the Lyke Wake Walk. Just to the west of the summit is the burial mound of 'Drake Howe (Howe is an Old Norse word meaning "burial mound"). This Bronze Age burial mound is now a scheduled ancient monument.

Urra Moor is the highest moor in the North York Moors, North Yorkshire, England. At 1,490 feet (454 m) above sea level it is the highest point in the former Hambleton District and the North York Moors National Park, and the fourteenth most prominent hill in England. The name is a mix of Old English and Old Norse (horh and haugr) which means The Dirty Hill. The name of Urra Moor applies to the moor as a whole; the summit itself is known as Round Hill. The summit is crowned by a trig point, and a track passes about 110 yards (100 m) to the south of this point. This track forms part of the route of both the Lyke Wake Walk and the Cleveland Way, and also forms the most commonly used route of ascent for Urra Moor. It is 1.9 miles (3 km) from the car park at Clay Bank to the summit via this route; total ascent is just under 660 feet (200 m). Urra Moor is noted for its prehistoric remains. There are a number of barrows, and several carved rocks, including some cup and ring carvings. Probably the most striking relic is the Face Stone, a carved stone about 3 feet 3 inches (1 m) in height into which has been carved the shape of a face.

Meynell Hall is a historic building in Little Broughton, North Yorkshire, a village in England. The Meynell family was first recorded in the area in the 12th century. Meynell Hall was constructed in the early 17th century, as a farmhouse. The interior and windows were altered in the 18th century. The house was grade II* listed in 1990. It was restored in the early 21st century. The building is constructed of sandstone on a chamfered plinth, with sprocketed eaves and a pantile roof. There are two storeys and three bays, and at the left is a pebbledashed wing with one storey and an attic. On the front is a doorway with a wooden lintel, and at the rear is a doorway with a chamfered surround and two blank shields in the lintel. Many of the windows are mullioned, some have been altered, some mullions are missing, and other windows are sashes. Inside is a 17th-century cupboard, and 18th-century staircase, chimneypiece, cornices and doors.

Great Broughton is a village in the Great and Little Broughton civil parish of the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire in northern England.

Kirkby (historically known as Kirkby-in-Cleveland) is a village and civil parish in Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England, near Great Busby and 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Stokesley. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book as belonging to Uhtred. The name of the village derives from the Old Norse kirkju-býr, which means church with a village. At the 2001 Census, the population of the village was recorded at 313, dropping slightly to 309 at the 2011 Census. In 2015, North Yorkshire County Council estimated the population to be 310.The village used to be served by Stokesley railway station on the Picton to Battersby railway line, which was 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the village. The A172 road is to the north and the B1257 Stokesley to Helmsley road is in the village of Great Broughton, 0.62 miles (1 km) to the east.The parish church of St Augustine was built in 1815 to replace a medieval building. The chancel was rebuilt in the early 1900s by London architect Temple Moore. It is a grade II* listed building. Besides the church, Kirkby also has a village hall and a public house, the Black Swan.To the south of the village is Kirby Bank (without a second 'K'). Part of the pathway there is a Medieval greenway known as the Kirby Bank Trod, which is believed to have been laid in the 12th century as part of the route to Rievaulx Abbey. The track is a scheduled ancient monument.

Little Broughton is a hamlet in the civil parish of Great and Little Broughton, in North Yorkshire, in England. Little Broughton was recorded as a village in the Domesday Book, although it went into decline in the early 14th century. Despite this, it was recorded in 1479 as having a mill and a chapel dedicated to Saint Mary. The mediaeval settlement lay in the field now known as Chapelgarth, either side of the Little Broughton Beck, and a few earthworks remain. The site is now a scheduled monument. The manor of Little Broughton was owned by Rievaulx Abbey, and after the English Reformation it was sold to Robert Tempest. It was later absorbed into the manor of nearby Great Broughton. Buildings in Little Broughton include the grade II* listed Meynell Hall.

St Augustine's Church is the parish church of Kirkby, North Yorkshire, a village in England. There was a church in Kirkby from the early mediaeval period, and by the early 19th century, it was a cruciform building with a central tower. The church was entirely rebuilt in 1815, although the vestry was constructed using some of the stones from the old church. The chancel of the new church was rebuilt by Temple Moore in 1905. The building was grade II* listed in 1966. The church is built of sandstone, the nave and vestry have a roof of Lakeland slate, and the chancel roof is tiled. The church consists of a nave, a taller chancel with a clerestory, a south aisle, a north chapel, a south vestry, and a west tower with an embattled parapet and corner pinnacles. The nave has round-arched windows and a sundial. Inside, there is a west gallery, late Georgian memorial tablets, fragments of Saxon sculpture built into the vestry, and an aumbry, piscina, sedilia and painted wooden reredos in the chancel.

The Cleveland Hills are a range of hills on the north-west edge of the North York Moors in North Yorkshire, England, overlooking Cleveland and Teesside. They lie entirely within the boundaries of the North York Moors National Park. Part of the 110-mile (177 km) long Cleveland Way National Trail runs along the hills, and they are also crossed by a section of Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk. The hills, which rise abruptly from the flat Tees Valley to the north, include distinctive landmarks such as the cone-shaped peak of Roseberry Topping, near the village of Great Ayton – childhood home of Captain James Cook.

St Andrew's Church is a parish church in Ingleby Greenhow, a village in North Yorkshire, in England. The church was originally built in the late 12th century, from which period the chancel arch, arcade in the nave, and lower part of the tower survive. The chancel was rebuilt in the 13th century, and the remainder of the church was rebuilt in 1741. A vestry was added in 1906, to a design by Temple Moore. The building was grade I listed in 1966. The church is built of stone, and consists of a west turret, a nave, a north aisle, a south porch, a chancel and a north vestry. The turret has contains a slit window on the west side, the bell stage is corbelled out on the west side and has louvred bell openings, above which is a coved cornice, and a pyramidal roof with a pyramidal finial. The porch is gabled, and the inner doorway has a round arch with imposts and a keystone. The chancel has a 12th-century door on the south side, while most of the windows date from 1741. Inside, there is an effigy of Willimus Wrelton, a priest who died in about 1300, and one of a knight, which is probably 15th century. There is a 12th-century tub font on what is probably a 13th-century base.

Ingleby Manor is a historic building in Ingleby Greenhow, a village in North Yorkshire, in England. The manor house was built in about 1540 for William Eure. In 1608, the family sold it to Sir David Foulis. It was extended in the 17th century, the work including a cellar, and dormer windows. It was altered in the 18th century, and then greatly changed in the 19th century, this work including changes to all the elevations, and complete remodelling of the upper floor. The building was grade II* listed in 1952. The house is built of stone, with a rectangular double courtyard plan, and a hipped Roman tile roof with stone ridges, coping and moulded kneelers, and fronts of seven and twelve bays. The northwest front has a central three-storey tower and flanking two storey three-bay wings. The tower contains a four-centred arched doorway, above which is a tripartite window, a two-light mullioned window with a hood mould, a string course, and an embattled parapet. The wings contain sash windows with chamfered surrounds, and in the bays flanking the tower are attic dormers with shaped pediments containing relief busts in the tympana.
