San Isidro is a barangay in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines with a population of 2,582 in 549 households as of the latest census.

Parañaque, officially the City of Parañaque (Filipino: Lungsod ng Parañaque, Tagalog pronunciation: [paɾɐˈɲäke̞]), is a first class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 689,992 people. It is bordered to the north by Pasay, to the northeast by Taguig, to the southeast by Muntinlupa, to the southwest by Las Piñas, and to the west by Manila Bay. Like the rest of Metro Manila, Parañaque experiences a tropical climate with only two distinct seasons, wet (July to September) and dry (October to June). The city enjoys an annual rainfall of 1,822 millimeters (71.7 in) and an average daily maximum temperature of 34.4 °C (93.9 °F).Parañaque is the home of the PAGCOR Entertainment City, a gaming and entertainment complex under development by the state owned Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation spanning an area of 8 km2 (3.1 sq mi) in Bay City, where four large integrated resorts are based namely Solaire Resort & Casino, City of Dreams Manila, Okada Manila, and the soon to be completed Westside City Resorts World. It is also the home of the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange public transport and the Aseana City business district development which includes Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

The Kababaihan Gabay ng Bayan - KAGABAY, means "women supporting the country" in Filipino. KAGABAY is a non-government, non-profit, social development organization. It was set up to address poverty reduction through the social, political and economic empowerment of women in urban poor and resettlement communities. With its motto: “Kababaihan Para Sa Kababaihan" (ph.Women for Women), KAGABAY aims to contribute to the achievement of the country’s Millennium Development Goals through the empowerment of women that will enable them to address the multi‐faceted dimensions of poverty within their communities.

BF Homes Parañaque, officially Barangay BF Homes, is a gated community and administrative division in southern Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is one of the sixteen barangays that make up Parañaque and is the city's largest barangay and southernmost village. As a subdivision, the local term for gated community, its territory includes portions of neighboring cities, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa. It was formerly known as Las Piñas-Parañaque BF Homes and was developed by Banco Filipino owner Tomas Aguirre in 1968. The development was part of the BF Homes project, alongside its sister branches in Quezon City, Caloocan, and Naga, and became fully operational by early 1970. Philippine media refer to it as "the biggest subdivision in Asia". The larger portion of the development in Parañaque was carved out of the village of San Dionisio to form its own barangay in 1978.

Parañaque National High School (abbreviated as PNHS; Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pambansa ng Parañaque) formerly known as Parañaque Municipal High School (abbreviated as PMHS; Filipino: Mataas na Paaralan ng Bayang Parañaque) is a secondary public school whose main campus is located at Kay Talise Street and Dr. A. Santos Avenue, San Dionisio, Parañaque. Aside from the main campus in San Dionisio; the school currently has annexes in Baclaran, Don Galo, and San Isidro. It also has nine former annexes located in Baclaran, Don Bosco, La Huerta, Marcelo Green, San Martin de Porres, San Antonio, Sto. Niño and Tambo; all independent from the school administration. The main campus of the school is notable for having one of the largest school populations in the Philippines and even in Asia. It was established on February 24, 1969, and made into a national high school by virtue of RA No. 7841 on July 25, 1994. The current principal of the main campus is Gerry A. Lumaban, Principal IV.

BF International Village is a barangay in the first district of Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. BF International Village currently has a population of 77,264 people spread over 2.17 km2 (0.84 sq mi) of land. The barangay has a total 60,000 households, 20,000 families, 50,000 registered voters and 251 precincts. The barangay is bordered by Gatchalian Village-Barangay Manuyo II to the north; San Antonio V7-Barangay Pulanglupa II to the east; Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque on the west; and J. Aguilar Ave., Barangay Pamplona III to the south.

On 10 December 2011, a twin-engine Beechcraft Queen Air light aircraft crashed into a slum and burst into flames in Parañaque, Metropolitan Manila, Philippines, killing all three people on board and eleven on the ground. Twenty more people on the ground were injured.The subsequent investigation found that an engine failure at take-off was not properly handled by the crew, which lost control of the aircraft at low altitude, without the possibility to recover before striking the ground.

Sun Valley National High School or SVNHS (formerly known as Dr. Arcadio Santos National High School - Sun Valley Annex) (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pambansa ng Sun Valley) is a public national high school in Parañaque, located at Elizabeth Ave., Sta. Ana Drive, Brgy. Sun Valley. It is under the administration of the local government of Parañaque City and is recognized by the Department of Education. It offers public education for the residents of Brgy. Sun Valley as well as for those living near it. The current principal/officer-in-charge is Dr. Leonisa D. Romano, Secondary School Principal I. At present, it has approximately 2, 222 students from Grade 7 to Grade 10

Saint Francis of Assisi College (SFAC) is a system of private, Catholic-oriented but non-sectarian Philippine educational institutions, offering complete education from pre-school up to the graduate or mistral level of education. The main campus is situated in Las Piñas, Metro Manila.

Robinsons Las Piñas (formerly Robinsons Place Las Piñas) is a shopping mall and mixed-use development in Las Piñas, Philippines. It is located on the north side of Alabang–Zapote Road between CAA Road and Admiral Road in Talon Tres. The mall is owned and managed by Robinsons Land Corporation, the second largest mall operator in the Philippines. The mall opened on October 25, 2014. It is the 39th mall opened by Robinsons in the Philippines and the first and only Robinsons mall in Las Piñas and the whole South Manila area.

Alabang–Zapote Road is a four-lane national road which travels east–west through the southern limits of Metro Manila, Philippines. It runs parallel to Dr. Santos Avenue in the north and is named for the two barangays that it links: Alabang in Muntinlupa and Zapote in Las Piñas. From its eastern terminus at an interchange with South Luzon Expressway's Alabang Exit, East Service Road, Manila South Road, and Montillano Street, the road runs westwards for approximately 10.9 kilometers (6.8 mi) to the junction with Diego Cera Avenue. Since 1997, it also extends further west for several hundred meters connecting Las Piñas to its present terminus at Coastal Road (R-1) in Bacoor, Cavite.The road carries more than 70,000 vehicles per day as of 2016, and suffers from traffic jams. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) listed Alabang–Zapote Road as a major traffic bottleneck point or choke point, and the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or "number coding" scheme, is modified for the road to no longer include window hours. The entire route is designated as National Route 411 (N411) of the Philippine highway network.
