The Kababaihan Gabay ng Bayan - KAGABAY, means "women supporting the country" in Filipino. KAGABAY is a non-government, non-profit, social development organization. It was set up to address poverty reduction through the social, political and economic empowerment of women in urban poor and resettlement communities. With its motto: “Kababaihan Para Sa Kababaihan" (ph.Women for Women), KAGABAY aims to contribute to the achievement of the country’s Millennium Development Goals through the empowerment of women that will enable them to address the multi‐faceted dimensions of poverty within their communities.

Parañaque National High School (abbreviated as PNHS; Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pambansa ng Parañaque) formerly known as Parañaque Municipal High School (abbreviated as PMHS; Filipino: Mataas na Paaralan ng Bayang Parañaque) is a secondary public school whose main campus is located at Kay Talise Street and Dr. A. Santos Avenue, San Dionisio, Parañaque. Aside from the main campus in San Dionisio; the school currently has annexes in Baclaran, Don Galo, and San Isidro. It also has nine former annexes located in Baclaran, Don Bosco, La Huerta, Marcelo Green, San Martin de Porres, San Antonio, Sto. Niño and Tambo; all independent from the school administration. The main campus of the school is notable for having one of the largest school populations in the Philippines and even in Asia. It was established on February 24, 1969, and made into a national high school by virtue of RA No. 7841 on July 25, 1994. The current principal of the main campus is Gerry A. Lumaban, Principal IV.

Dr. Arcadio Santos Avenue or Dr. Santos Avenue, formerly and still referred to as Sucat Road or Parañaque–Sucat Road, is the primary east–west thoroughfare in Parañaque, southern Metro Manila, Philippines. The avenue's western end is in Barangay San Dionisio as the continuation of Ninoy Aquino Avenue. Physically, Ninoy Aquino Avenue connects northbound to NAIA Road in Pasay which, in turn, continues west to Roxas Boulevard back in Parañaque, where it ends. Its eastern end is at the East Service Road, which runs parallel to South Luzon Expressway, in Barangay Sucat, Muntinlupa, where it becomes Meralco Road to service the rest of the route to Sucat railway station.The entire road is designated as National Route 63 (N63) of the Philippine highway network.

Parañaque, officially the City of Parañaque (Filipino: Lungsod ng Parañaque, Tagalog pronunciation: [paɾɐˈɲäke̞]), is a first class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 689,992 people. It is bordered to the north by Pasay, to the northeast by Taguig, to the southeast by Muntinlupa, to the southwest by Las Piñas, and to the west by Manila Bay. Like the rest of Metro Manila, Parañaque experiences a tropical climate with only two distinct seasons, wet (July to September) and dry (October to June). The city enjoys an annual rainfall of 1,822 millimeters (71.7 in) and an average daily maximum temperature of 34.4 °C (93.9 °F).Parañaque is the home of the PAGCOR Entertainment City, a gaming and entertainment complex under development by the state owned Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation spanning an area of 8 km2 (3.1 sq mi) in Bay City, where four large integrated resorts are based namely Solaire Resort & Casino, City of Dreams Manila, Okada Manila, and the soon to be completed Westside City Resorts World. It is also the home of the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange public transport and the Aseana City business district development which includes Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

On 10 December 2011, a twin-engine Beechcraft Queen Air light aircraft crashed into a slum and burst into flames in Parañaque, Metropolitan Manila, Philippines, killing all three people on board and eleven on the ground. Twenty more people on the ground were injured.The subsequent investigation found that an engine failure at take-off was not properly handled by the crew, which lost control of the aircraft at low altitude, without the possibility to recover before striking the ground.

The Las Piñas Bamboo Organ in St. Joseph Parish Church in Las Piñas, Philippines, is a 19th-century church organ. It is known for its unique organ pipes; of its 1031 pipes, 902 are made of bamboo. It was completed after 6 years of work in 1824 by Father Diego Cera, the builder of the town's stone church and its first resident Catholic parish priest.After age and numerous disasters had rendered the musical instrument unplayable for a long time, in 1972, the national government and the local community joined together to have the organ shipped to Germany for restoration. For its anticipated return in 1975, the home church of the bamboo organ and the surrounding buildings were restored to their 19th-century state by Architect Francisco Mañosa and partner Ludwig Alvarez in time for its scheduled return. The annual International Bamboo Organ Festival, a music festival of classical music, was started to celebrate the music of the reborn instrument and its unique sound.Since 1992, Prof. Armando Salarza has been the titular organist of the Bamboo Organ. He is also the Artistic Director of the International Bamboo Organ Festival, now the longest-running annual international music festival held in the country.The organ was declared a National Cultural Treasure of the Philippines in 2003. The St. Joseph Parish Church, with the famous organ and the church museum at the old convent house, is a popular tourist destination for Filipinos and foreign visitors alike in Las Piñas.

Padre Diego Cera Avenue, or simply Diego Cera Avenue, is a major north-south collector road in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a four-lane undivided arterial running parallel to the Manila–Cavite Expressway to the west from Manuyo Uno at Las Piñas' border with Parañaque in the north to Zapote near the border with Bacoor in the south. It is a continuation of Elpidio Quirino Avenue from Parañaque and was originally a segment of Calle Real in Las Piñas. The road is a component of the National Route 62 (N62) of the Philippine highway network and Radial Road 2 (R-2) of Manila's arterial road network. The avenue marks the original shoreline of Manila Bay in Las Piñas as it existed during the Spanish colonial period. Prior to the construction of the Coastal Road in 1985, the road served as the highway linking Manila with Cavite and other southern provinces. The Manila Bay shoreline is currently about 400 to 600 meters (1,300 to 2,000 ft) to the west. The road is situated in the Las Piñas historical corridor being home to the city's oldest structures such as the Las Piñas Church, the Las Piñas Gabaldon Hall, and the old Las Piñas District Hospital. It was named for Fray Diego Cera de la Virgen del Carmen (1762–1832), the Spanish missionary from Huesca who designed and built the Bamboo Organ in 1824.

The Saint Joseph Parish (Spanish: Iglesia Parroquial de San Jose), otherwise known as the Las Piñas Church (Spanish: Iglesia de Las Piñas) (Filipino: Simbahan ng Las Piñas) or Bamboo Organ Church, is a parish church in Las Piñas, just south of the city of Manila in the Philippines. It nestles in the heart of Barangay Daniel Fajardo, one of the oldest districts of Las Piñas. The church is renowned to house the Bamboo Organ, a pipe organ made mostly with bamboo pipes. To the right of the church is an old Spanish convent converted into a gift shop and the entrance for observing the organ up close. Also in the church complex is St. Joseph's Academy, a primary and secondary education school established in 1914. The parish falls under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Parañaque. The parish priest has been Roberto A. Olaguer since July 11, 2020.

BF International Village is a barangay in the first district of Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. BF International Village currently has a population of 77,264 people spread over 2.17 km2 (0.84 sq mi) of land. The barangay has a total 60,000 households, 20,000 families, 50,000 registered voters and 251 precincts. The barangay is bordered by Gatchalian Village-Barangay Manuyo II to the north; San Antonio V7-Barangay Pulanglupa II to the east; Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque on the west; and J. Aguilar Ave., Barangay Pamplona III to the south.

Sun Valley National High School or SVNHS (formerly known as Dr. Arcadio Santos National High School - Sun Valley Annex) (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pambansa ng Sun Valley) is a public national high school in Parañaque, located at Elizabeth Ave., Sta. Ana Drive, Brgy. Sun Valley. It is under the administration of the local government of Parañaque City and is recognized by the Department of Education. It offers public education for the residents of Brgy. Sun Valley as well as for those living near it. The current principal/officer-in-charge is Dr. Leonisa D. Romano, Secondary School Principal I. At present, it has approximately 2, 222 students from Grade 7 to Grade 10

St. Joseph's Academy of Las Piñas, referred to as SJA, is a private school established in 1914 by Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (CICM) offering Kindergarten to Grade 12.
