Armstrong Knitting Factory

Lane High School, in Charlottesville, Virginia, was a public secondary school serving residents of Charlottesville from 1940 until 1974. It was an all-white school until its court-ordered integration in 1959. Black students formerly attended Burley High School. When Lane became too small to accommodate the student body, it was replaced by Charlottesville High School. In 1981, the building was converted for use as the Albemarle County Office Building, for which it has remained in use until the present day.The structure was designed by Lynchburg, Virginia architect Pendleton Scott Clark. African American homes and African-American Episcopal chapel were removed to make way for the school. It was named after the former teacher and school superintendent James Waller Lane.

Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) is a school district serving Albemarle County, Virginia. Its headquarters are in the City of Charlottesville. ACPS serves approximately 14,000 students in preschool through grade 12 in Albemarle County, Virginia, the sixth largest county by area in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A diverse locality of 726 square miles in the heart of Central Virginia, Albemarle County is a blend of primarily rural, but also suburban and urban settings. The current Superintendent, Matthew S. Haas, was appointed by the Albemarle County School Board in July 2018.

King Lumber Company Warehouse is a historic warehouse building located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1909, and is a three-bay, three bay by five bay brick building. It has a low gable roof with stepped gables and corbeled cornice stops. The King Lumber Company manufactured building materials that were used throughout the United States, including in many buildings at the University of Virginia. The company closed in the 1930s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

William H. McGuffey Primary School, also known as the McGuffy Art Center, is a historical former elementary school located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1915–1916, and is a two-story, rectangular, Colonial Revival style brick building. It features single-story Tuscan order porticos that project from each side elevation as well as from the front façade. It is topped by a slate covered, low pitched, hipped roof. It was named for William Holmes McGuffey (1800-1873) the author of the first standard U.S. reader series who was a staunch advocate of public education and a University of Virginia professor of moral philosophy. McGuffey School ceased to be a public school in 1973.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. It is located in the Charlottesville and Albemarle County Courthouse Historic District.

Charlottesville Coca-Cola Bottling Works is a historic Coca-Cola bottling plant located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1939, and is a two-story, reinforced concrete Art Deco style factory faced with brick. It has one-story wing and a detached one-story, 42-truck brick garage supported by steel posts and wood rafters. The design features stepped white cast stone pilaster caps, rising above the coping of the parapet, top the pilasters and corner piers and large industrial style windows. In 1955 a one-story attached brick addition was made on the east side of the garage providing a bottle and crate storage warehouse. In 1981 a one-story, L-shaped warehouse built of cinder blocks was added to the plant. The building was in use as a production facility until 1973 and then as a Coca-Cola distribution center until 2010.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Jefferson School is a historic building in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built to serve as a segregated high school for African-American students. The school, located on Commerce Street in the downtown Starr Hill neighborhood, was built in four sections starting in 1926, with additions made in 1938–39, 1958, and 1959. It is a large two-story brick building, and the 1938–1939, two-story, rear addition, was partially funded by the Public Works Administration (PWA).This building operated from 1926 to 1951 as Charlottesville's first high school for Black students. In 1951, it became an elementary school for Black students. In 1958, Jefferson School students sought application to local white-only schools, sparking the city government to join the statewide massive resistance movement against school integration. After serving many uses over the following decades, it reopened in 2013 as the Jefferson School City Center, a multi-use facility that houses the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center, the Carver Recreation Center, and local community organizations.

Abell–Gleason House is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1859, and is a two-story, three-bay, Greek Revival style brick dwelling. Each of the bays is defined by brick pilasters with Doric order inspired capitals faced with stucco. Also on the property is a contributing four room servants quarters.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. It is located in the Charlottesville and Albemarle County Courthouse Historic District.

Jackson P. Burley High School was a segregated school for African American students in Charlottesville, Virginia. Located on Rose Hill Drive, it opened in 1951 to serve students from both the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. It graduated its final class of seniors in 1967, and soon after, the City's interest in the school was purchased by Albemarle County. In 1974 it reopened as Jackson P. Burley Middle School.The school was built on a seventeen-acre tract of land purchased from a prominent African American community member, Jackson P. Burley. In November, 2020, the school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Virginia Film Festival is a program of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. The film festival is held annually, usually in late October or early November.

Meriwether Lewis and William Clark was a historic bronze sculpture of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and Sacagawea located at Charlottesville, Virginia. Known as Their First View of the Pacific, it was sculpted by noted artist Charles Keck (1875-1951), and was the first of four commemorative sculptures commissioned from members of the National Sculpture Society by philanthropist Paul Goodloe McIntire. The sculpture was erected in 1919.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.On July 10, 2021, following the removal of the Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee statues, the city called for an emergency council meeting where it was decided that the statue, along with the George Rogers Clark sculpture, would also be removed that same day. It was removed at the request of descendants of Sacajawea.

Market Street Park, known as Lee Park until 2017, and as Emancipation Park from June 2017 to July 2018, is a public park in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Community Lab School (formerly Murray High School, renamed after merging with Community Public Charter Middle School in 2020) is a district-backed public charter school serving grades 6-12 located in Charlottesville, Virginia. It is a part of Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS). In August 2018, the Albemarle County School Board renewed the school's charter to provide Albemarle County families the option of a small, liberal arts school experience with elective pathways focusing on the creative arts, media, and design. Admission is open to all Albemarle County residents on a lottery basis. The school began offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in 2020.
