Wickford Junction station

The Benoni Rose House is an historic house at 97 Lafayette Road in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It is a 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, built in 1882 for Benoni Rose, a finisher at the mill in nearby Lafayette Village. The house is an excellent and well-preserved example of simple vernacular Victorian architecture. Unlike more elaborate example of the style, the styling of this house is limited to its porch, entrance and stairway. The Roses were among the first to buy land in this area, outside the main village and across the Annaquatucket River.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 28, 2008, where it is listed as the "Benoni Ross House".

The Annaquatucket River is a river in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. It flows approximately 7 km (5 mi) and drains a watershed of 18.9 km² (7.3 sq. mi). There are two dams along the river's length.

Lafayette Village is a historic district extending along Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It encompasses a linear rural and industrial village, running from the Wickford Junction railroad crossing in the west to Angel Avenue in the east, and includes a number of residential properties on adjacent side streets. The centerpiece of the district is the Rodman Manufacturing Company complex, which operated here for a century beginning in the 1840s. The Robert Rodman Mansion, a Second Empire house with an elaborate porch, stands at 731 Ten Rod Road, and the Walter Rodman House, built in the 1870s, is even more elaborately decorated. Most of the residential stock in the district is mill-related housing built by the Rodmans for their workers.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Six Principle Baptist Church (also known as Stony Lane Baptist Church, Stony Lane Six Principle Baptist Church and Old Baptist Meeting House) is a historic church in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. As of 2009 it was one of the last surviving historical congregations of the Six Principle Baptist denomination and one of the oldest churches in the United States.

The Rathbun House is a historic house at 343 Beacon Drive in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It is a 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, five bays wide, with a large central chimney. Its exterior trim is simple and lacking in significant detailing. The interior plan is a typical five-room setup, with a narrow entry hall, two rooms on either side of the chimney, and the kitchen behind. It is one of a small number of surviving mid-18th century farmhouses in the town. It was probably one of four houses built in the area by members of the Rathbun family.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Allie's Donuts is a doughnut shop in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States. Established in 1968 by Frederick Alvin "Allie" Briggs, the store has been listed as one of the best doughnut shops in the country by Saveur in 2008 and by Thrillist in 2016. Considered a landmark in Rhode Island, Allie's Donuts is also popular amongst residents from nearby states, receiving many customers travelling from Connecticut and Massachusetts to visit the store.

Cocumscussoc is a brook and surrounding region in Wickford, Rhode Island. The Cocumscussoc Brook flows into Mill Cove off of Wickford Harbor. Roger Williams started a trading post with the Narragansetts in the 1630s, likely northeast of the brook and harbor. The exact location of Williams' trading post is not known, but Smith's Castle (1678) was located nearby. This homestead was originally a fortified house and trading post of Richard Smith. Female sachem Quaiapen lived near Cocumscussoc and was associated with nearby Queen's Fort after inheriting her husband's lands in 1657. Most of Cocumscussoc was used for agriculture, though the last dairy farm closed in 1948. The creation of a railroad in the 1800s and the expansion of Route 1 greatly altered the course of Cocumscussoc Brook. Today Cocumscussoc State Park preserves much of the land surrounding Cocumscussoc Brook.

The Palmer–Northrup House (or "Northup House") is an historic house at 7919 Post Road in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, and is one of a small number of surviving stone ender houses in the state. Its architecture suggests it was built in the 17th century, either around the time of King Philip's War (1675–78) or possibly even earlier. The oldest portion of the house, including its massive fieldstone chimney, are relatively intact despite later additions around 1740 that significantly enlarged the house. The house stands across the street from Smith's Castle, a house of similar vintage which was built on the site of a trading post established by Roger Williams in 1637.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Wickford is a small village in the town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States, which is named after Wickford in Essex, England. Wickford is located on the west side of Narragansett Bay, just about a 20-minute drive across two bridges from Newport, Rhode Island. The village is built around one of the most well-protected natural harbors on the eastern seaboard, and features one of the largest collections of 18th century dwellings to be found anywhere in the Northeast. Today the majority of the village's historic homes and buildings (most in private hands) remain largely intact upon their original foundations.

The Richard Briggs Farm is a historic farm at 830 South Road in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. The 72-acre (29 ha) farm, established in 1704 by Richard Briggs on land given to him by his father, who had acquired it in the 1670s. The farm is one of the oldest in the town, and is one of its few remaining farms that is still largely intact. Construction of the core of the main house, a 2+1⁄2-story timber-frame structure with a large central chimney, was traditionally ascribed to Briggs, but architectural evidence suggests it was built c. 1735–55, probably by Briggs' son John after his father's death. This structure has had two major additions, an ell to the west built c. 1820–50, and a northern ell built in the 1930s and further extended in following decades. The property includes a barn which may be contemporaneous to the original house.The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Queen's Fort is a historic site in Exeter, Rhode Island. Little more than a round, rocky hillock, the site has long been described as the site of a Native American fortification constructed in 1676 by Queen Quaiapen and members of the Narragansett Indian Tribe who survived the Great Swamp Massacre. The fort's layout included an eastern bastion and a flanking wall built amongst large naturally occurring boulders. The fort was described as containing an enclosed chamber as well: Within the fort a chamber – six square feet with a seven-foot ceiling and a sand floor – was perhaps built for the Narragansett queen Quaiapen (also called Matuntuck). She supposedly hid out at the site during King Phililp’s War before moving somewhere else, where she died. Some have also suspected that Quaiapen and Stonewall John were lovers." The fort was known for the skill of its design, which used naturally occurring boulders connected with laid stone walls. Admiring colonists created the mistaken rumor that Stonewall John was an escaped English engineer.The fort was described in conflicting Victorian-era accounts, and the rocky nature of the site prevented its reuse. The site has been owned by the Rhode Island Historical Society since 1931 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Davisville is a village in the town of North Kingstown in the U.S. state of Rhode Island that was formerly the home of the Davisville Naval Construction Battalion Center, which housed the United States Navy's SeaBees.
