Taylor Springs (Harrisonburg, Virginia)

The Massanetta Springs Historic District is a retreat in Rockingham County, Virginia, administered by the Presbyterian Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, and chiefly associated with the Massanetta Springs Summer Bible Conference Encampment. The district includes the Hotel (1910), Hudson Auditorium (1922) and Camp Massanetta (1955–56). A Methodist camp existed at the site, originally known as Taylor's Springs, from 1816.

Massanetta Springs Camp & Conference Center is a Presbyterian camp and conference center in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The ministry of Massanetta Springs is divided into three areas. Guest services, Conference Ministries, and Camp Massanetta. The camp features archery ranges, hiking trails, four residential camper villages, a pool, lake, picnic pavilion, auditorium/cafeteria, camp office, ropes course, and nurses station. The Massanetta Springs Conference Center and Historic Hotel are also located on these 200 acres (0.81 km2). Camp Massanetta began in 1956, however the residential camping program was suspended in November 2008 and a new direction sought. Mission@Massanetta provides youth and adults an opportunity to do mission in a variety of arenas within Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, and Augusta County. The "Brainy Camps" are camps for children and teens with Tourette syndrome, Asperger syndrome, neurofibromatosis, or epilepsy. The Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC provides the camps and interest has been expressed in expanding to include children and teens with obesity issues and those with facial anomalies (cleft palate, etc.). Varsity football and marching band camps are also hosted at Camp Massanetta. In May 2005, Massanetta Springs Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Kyle's Mill House is a historic home located near Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Virginia. It was built about 1750, and was built as a two-story, hall-parlor plan log dwelling with a side gable roof. It was expanded about 1826 to a central-hall plan, a rear ell was added in 1903, and the house was renovated in 1986. The house is clad in weatherboard and has exterior end chimneys.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Jonathan Peale House is a historic home located near Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Virginia. It was built about 1845, and is a two-story, five-bay, central-passage plan brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. The front facade feature a central two-story gabled portico supported by stucco-covered Tuscan order columns. On the rear facade is a two-story, full-width gallery porch supported by stucco-covered masonry columns. Also on the property are the contributing well, slave quarter, and tennis court. The house was used as Confederate General Stonewall Jackson’s headquarters in April 1862.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Valley Mall is a shopping mall in Harrisonburg, Virginia, owned by Macerich and serving the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia. It currently features more than 50 stores, with JCPenney, Belk, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Target serving as anchor stores.

Mabel Memorial Chapel is located in Harrisonburg, Virginia and was built in 1898. It is located in the former village of Chestnut Ridge.

The Battle of Cross Keys was fought on June 8, 1862, in Rockingham County, Virginia, as part of Confederate Army Maj. Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson's campaign through the Shenandoah Valley during the American Civil War. Together, the battles of Cross Keys and Port Republic the following day were the decisive victories in Jackson's Valley Campaign, forcing the Union armies to retreat and leaving Jackson free to reinforce Gen. Robert E. Lee for the Seven Days Battles outside Richmond, Virginia.

Cross Keys is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.

The Turner Ashby Monument is a memorial placed in 1898 to mark the place at which Confederate Army Colonel Turner Ashby was killed in the 1862 Battle of Good's Farm. It is located at the end of Turner Ashby Lane in a small privately maintained park that is open to the public. It consists of a granite shaft, its sides finished roughly except for the inscription panel, with a similarly cut pyramidal top. It is set on a limestone base. Its 1898 dedication ceremony was attended by 5,000 people, and typifies emblems of the Lost Cause of the Confederacy.The monument was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The James Madison University Park is home to both Athletics (along the Neff side) and University Recreation (entrance is on Devon Lane). Lacrosse/Soccer Complex is a soccer and lacrosse stadium located off of Neff Avenue in Harrisonburg, Virginia on the campus of James Madison University. The complex is home to the men's and women's soccer teams, as well as men's and women's lacrosse teams. The soccer teams moved to University Park in 2012.
