Glensheen Historic Estate

Tischer Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It empties into Lake Superior in the city of Duluth on the grounds of the Glensheen Historic Estate. Its waters supply a 60,000 gallon reservoir and are used to maintain the grounds of the estate.Tischer Creek was named after Urs and Elizabeth Tischer, pioneers who settled the area in the 1850s.

The Starkey House, also known as the Alworth House, is a residential house in Duluth, Minnesota, United States overlooking Lake Superior. The house was designed by modernist architect Marcel Breuer in 1954 and 1955 for June Halverson Starkey (née Alworth). The building's design references Breuer's hallmark bi-nuclear plan, in which sleeping and living spaces are linked through the home's entrance.

Bridge L6113 is a historic bridge in Congdon Park in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Built in 1925, it carries East 4th Street over Tischer Creek. Structurally it is a reinforced concrete arch bridge with a veneer of local gabbro masonry. Artistically it mixes rustic, uncoursed masonry with neoclassical details in its limestone belt courses and arch ring. Bridge L6113 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016 for its local significance in the theme of engineering. It was nominated for its high aesthetic value of mixed architectural styles complementing its park setting.

East High School is a public secondary school in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. It educates students in grades nine through twelve. It first opened its doors in 1927 as a junior high school. In 1950, it became a senior high school to serve the growing student population.Duluth East High School employs a schedule that allows students to take six 50-minute classes a day. It also offers an optional zero hour, for students to take a schedule of seven classes. There are limited options for taking zero hour courses, and they are held before the official start of the school day and offerings for this extra hour typically include music, health, and some science courses. As part of the Duluth Public Schools "Red Plan," East High School was moved into the renovated and expanded Ordean Middle School building in 2011. Ordean East Middle School was moved into the former East High School building located at 2900 East Fourth Street.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, also known simply as the Cathedral of Our Lady, is a Catholic cathedral located in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Duluth. The present Italianate cathedral was completed in 1957 and replaced the former Sacred Heart Cathedral, which is now a music center.

The Episcopal Diocese of Duluth was a diocese of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. The diocese was created as the Missionary District of Duluth in 1895 as a result of the division of the Diocese of Minnesota. The Missionary District was reconstituted as a diocese at its twelfth annual convocation on June 19, 1907. The diocese reunited with the Diocese of Minnesota in 1944. The former cathedral in Duluth, Minnesota was sold to a Lutheran church in 1956.

Montessori School of Duluth (MSD) is a non-profit preschool and elementary school located in Duluth, Minnesota. It was founded in 1981 by Anne and Al Nephew and is the first private, independent, and non-denominational Montessori school in Duluth's history. It is located in the Hunter's Park residential neighborhood of Duluth, four blocks from Morley Heights Park. MSD enrolls children from 16 months to 6th Grade. As a Montessori school, MSD emphasizes child-directed work, uninterrupted work periods, Montessori materials, and multi-age classrooms.
