Linden Farm, also known as Linden and Dew House, is a historic home located near Farnham, Richmond County, Virginia. It was built in two stages between about 1700 and 1725, and is a small 1+1⁄2-story Colonial era frame vernacular dwelling. It is clad with beaded weatherboards and has an asymmetrical gable roof. The house features tall, asymmetrical, pyramidal brick chimneys.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Farnham is an unincorporated community in Richmond County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.

Farnham Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Farnham, Richmond County, Virginia. It was built in 1737, and is a one-story, cruciform shaped brick Colonial era church building. It measures 63 feet, 8 inches, feet by 58 feet, 2 inches, and is topped by a gable roof. Two years into the War of 1812, bullet holes were left in the walls during a conflict between the Virginia militia and the British fleet, led by Admiral George Cockburn. This event was called the Skirmish at Farnham Church. During the Civil War the church was used by Union soldiers as a stable. The church was last renovated in 1921 in the Georgian Revival style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The Skirmish at Farnham Church was an engagement during the War of 1812. The British bombarded North Farnham Church and assaulted the church on land. The strength of either side is unknown, but the battle was fought between British troops and Virginia militia. The engagement at the northern end of the Farnham Church complex occurred on December 6, 1814, the British failed to capture their target.

Bowler's Wharf is an unincorporated community in Essex County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.

Totuskey Creek is a tributary of the Rappahannock River located in Richmond County, Virginia. The creek meets the river near Wellford, Virginia. The creek served as the eastern border of Rappahannock Tribe lands. In the 1650s, when colonists began settling along the river, the Rappahannock withdrew from the southern bank; their weroance Accopatough deeded the land east of Totuskey Creek to settlers just before he died in April 1651. His successor Taweeren confirmed the deed in May. In 1730, a tobacco inspection site was located here. According to the Tobacco Inspection Act the inspection was "At Naylor's Hole, upon William Fantleroy's land, where his prise houses now are; and the mouth of Totaskey, at Newman Brokenborough's landing, in Richmond County; both under one inspection." On September 6, 1778, Baptist minister Lewis Lunsford baptised Robert Carter III in the waters of this creek.
