Peel Road Railway Station (Manx: Stashoon Raad Yiarn Raad Purt ny h-Inshey) was a station on the Manx Northern Railway, later owned and operated by the Isle of Man Railway. It served the area known as Poortown in the Isle of Man and was an intermediate stopping place on a line that ran between St. John's and Ramsey.

Culture Vannin is the trading name for the Manx Heritage Foundation, established in 1982 by the Isle of Man Government to promote Manx culture, heritage and language. It was rebranded in February 2014, having previously been known as the "Manx Heritage Foundation" (Manx: Undinys Eiraght Vannin), since the former title "held connotations more towards the cultural history of the island" which were not felt to be accurate to the organisation's progressive approach to invigorating Manx culture. Culture Vannin's motto is "Taking our culture forward".

Bunscoill Ghaelgagh is a government-run Manx-language primary school in St John's, Isle of Man that has enabled 170 children to learn fluent Manx. As of 2011 it is the only school in the world where children are taught their lessons solely in Manx and which allows children to learn the language fluently. Pupils may then go on to Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel or to their catchment area's high school, where General Certificate of Secondary Education Manx is offered from the age of 12.

St John's Railway Station (Manx: Stashoon Raad Yiarn Valley Keeill Eoin) was on the Isle of Man Railway (IMR), later merging with the nearby station of the Manx Northern Railway (MNR); it was the junction of lines to Douglas, Peel, Ramsey and Foxdale. It was close to Tynwald Hill.

St John's (Manx: Balley Keeill Eoin) is a small village in the sheading of Glenfaba in the Isle of Man, in the island's central valley. It is in the House of Keys constituency of Glenfaba & Peel, which elects two MHKs.

The St John's Short Course was a road-racing street circuit used for the Isle of Man TT held between 1907 and 1910. The races were run in a time-trial format on public roads closed for racing by an Act of Tynwald (the parliament of the Isle of Man) around a circuit starting from the village of St John's, proceeding through Ballacraine, Kirk Michael, Peel and back to St John's The first motorcycle race was held on 28 May 1907 over 10 laps of the Short Course of 15 miles 1,470 yards and was for road-legal touring motor-cycles with exhaust silencers, saddles, pedals and mud-guards.The startline was situated in St John's with the Short Course based on a number of public roads including the primary A1 Douglas to Peel road, A3 Castletown to Ramsey road and the primary A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road. The highest point of the course was on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road at St John's Chapelon the Cronk-y-Voddy straight at 780 ft above sea level.54°14′27″N 4°36′23″W

St Johns United A.F.C. is a football club from St John's on the Isle of Man. It competes in the Isle of Man Football League. It plays in a royal blue and yellow striped kit and plays their home games at Mullen-y-Cloie in St John's.

St Germain's Railway Station (Manx: Stashoon Raad Yiarn Cheeill Charmane) was a station on the Manx Northern Railway in the Isle of Man, later owned and operated by the Isle of Man Railway; it served the small village of the same name and was an intermediate stopping place on a line that ran between St John's and Ramsey.

The Foxdale Railway was a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge branch line which ran from St. John's to Foxdale on the Isle of Man.

Queen Elizabeth II High School (commonly referred to as simply QE2) is a mixed comprehensive school in Peel, Isle of Man. The school teaches the years 7-11 as well as a sixth form for years 12–13. Queen Elizabeth II High School follows the Manx National Curriculum. Schools are not subject to Ofsted and Examination results are not published. The school population has grown to about 800 students and about 50 staff. GCSE Manx is offered from the age of 12. One of the feeder schools is Bunscoill Ghaelgagh, a Manx language primary school in St John's. Manx medium instruction is offered to a small number of students for a limited number of Key Stage 3 subjects.

Peel Association Football Club is a football club from Peel on the Isle of Man. The team competes in the Isle of Man Football League and the players wear red, white and black kits. The Peel A.F.C. plays its home games at the Peel A.F.C. Football Ground, on Douglas Road in Peel.

Laurel Bank (archaic Manx: Cronk-y-Killey - ‘Killey’s Hill’) is situated between the 10th Milestone and 11th Milestone road-side markers on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road between Ballacraine and Glen Helen in the parish of Kirk German in the Isle of Man.
