Nehantic State Forest

The Dinosaur Place is a family-owned 60-acre dinosaur-themed adventure park located in Nature's Art Village in Montville, Connecticut. The park features 60 life-sized dinosaurs on 1.5 miles of trails, playgrounds, a custom-made play zone "T-Rex Tower", splash pad, a maze and several additional attractions.

The New England Hebrew Farmers of the Emanuel Society Synagogue and Creamery Site is a complex of historic archaeological sites near the junction of Connecticut Routes 161 and 85 in Montville, Connecticut. The sites include that of a late 19th-century synagogue, and the remains of a creamery complex operated by local Jewish dairy farmers that was located nearby. It was one of the first rural Jewish settlements in the state, supported financially by the Baron de Hirsch. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Simon Tiffany House, also known as the Ebenezer Tiffany House, is a historic house on Darling Road in Salem, Connecticut. Built about 1793, it is a well-preserved example of a rural vernacular farmhouse of the period. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Woodbridge Farm is a historic farm property on Woodbridge Road in Salem, Connecticut. The property was developed by Nathaniel Woodbridge in 1791, and it had more than 200 years of cultivation, and many decades of ownership by the Woodbridge family. The property includes an early farmstead, remade in the early 20th century into a Colonial Revival country house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Becket Hill State Park Reserve is a public recreation area lying adjacent to Nehantic State Forest in the town of Lyme, Connecticut. The state park is as an undeveloped, walk-in park totaling 260 acres (110 ha) with no officially listed activities. It is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The Morton Freeman Plant Hunting Lodge is the centerpiece of a hunting retreat at 56 Stone Ranch Road in East Lyme, Connecticut. It is a large two-story Bungalow style house, designed by Dudley St. Clair Donnelly and built in 1908 by financier Morton Freeman Plant, and is one of the only early 20th-century purpose-built hunting lodges in the state. It was the heart of a large 2,400-acre (970 ha) private game preserve that Plant stocked with game birds. The property, now reduced to 105 acres (42 ha), is surrounded by town conservation land and a state military reservation. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 12, 1988.

Music Vale Seminary, also known as the Salem Normal Academy of Music, was a normal music conservatory for women in Salem, Connecticut. It was the first accredited music school in the United States. The school opened in 1835 and closed in 1876.

The Salem Historic District encompasses the historic 19th-century town center of Salem, Connecticut. It extends along Connecticut Route 85 roughly from Round Hill Road to Music Vale Road, and includes the rural town's major civic and institutional buildings, as well as a number of surrounding residences. The area was developed after the town was incorporated in 1819, and was mostly built out by 1885. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
