Timken House

Bankers Hill, also known as Park West and formerly known as Florence Heights, is a long-established uptown San Diego neighborhood near Balboa Park. It is bordered to the north by Hillcrest at Upas Street, to the south by Downtown (at Interstate 5, the San Diego Freeway), to the east by Balboa Park, and to the west by Interstate 5, Little Italy and the neighborhood known as Midtown. A more constricted definition of the neighborhood sets its eastern boundary as Fourth Avenue and its western boundary as First Avenue.The area is primarily residential south of Laurel Street and west of Fifth Avenue. There is a small commercial district along First Avenue between Hawthorne and Juniper Streets. There are multiple high-rise condominiums along Fifth and Sixth Avenue facing the park. Locations further west allow an elevated, panoramic view of Downtown, San Diego Bay, the airport, Coronado, Harbor Island and Mount Soledad. Many homes date from the late 19th century, some of which have been restored as offices or bed-and-breakfasts. Architects Irving Gill, William Hebbard, Richard Requa and Frank Mead designed homes in this area. The area acquired the name "Bankers Hill" because of its reputation as a home for the affluent.

St. Paul's Cathedral is an Episcopal church located in the Bankers Hill district of the city of San Diego, California. It is the formal seat of the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. It traces its origins to the first Protestant church in San Diego, founded in Old Town in 1853, although the building itself was only completed in 1951.

Park Place Methodist Episcopal Church South (also known as Balboa Park Place) is a historic Methodist church building at 508 Olive Street in San Diego, California. It is currently a special event facility known as The Abbey and managed by Hornblower Cruises It was built in 1910 in a Classical Revival style and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.It was designed by architect Norman Foote Marsh.

The Spruce Street Suspension Bridge, colloquially known as the Wiggly Bridge, is a historic 375 ft (114 m) long footbridge in the Bankers Hill neighborhood of San Diego. It was built in 1912 by Edwin M. Capps. It can hold a maximum of 327,900 lb (148,700 kg) and crosses Kate Sessions Canyon. It was designated a San Diego Historic Landmark in 1977.

Little Italy is a neighborhood in Downtown San Diego, California, that was originally a predominately Italian and Portuguese fishing neighborhood. It has since been gentrified and is now a popular neighborhood full of Italian restaurants and grocery stores, home design stores, art galleries and residential units. Little Italy is one of the more active downtown neighborhoods, with frequent festivals and events including a weekly farmers market, also known as the Mercato (the Market, in Italian). The neighborhood has low crime rates when compared with other neighborhoods in Downtown San Diego and is maintained by the Little Italy Neighborhood Association, which looks after trash collection, decorations, and special events.

It is located east of the Gaslamp Quarter and southeast of the Core district and Cortez Hill in downtown San Diego. East Village encompasses 130 blocks between Seventh Avenue east to 18th Street. The Cabrillo Bridge in San Diego, California is a historic bridge providing pedestrian and light automotive access between Balboa Park and the Uptown area of San Diego. It was built for the 1915 Panama–California Exposition. The bridge was nominated for the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and was named a Local Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1986.

Middletown is an at-grade station on the Blue Line and Green Line of the San Diego Trolley system. It is located along the Surf Line right of way at West Palm Street, in the Middletown neighborhood of San Diego, which includes a variety of medium-density housing within blocks of the station. The station offers a connection to the San Diego International Airport via a shuttle stop one block away from this station. This station opened on June 16, 1996 as part of the North/South Line (later renamed the Blue Line) extension to the Old Town Transit Center. The station was closed from May 21 through August 2012 for renovations as part of the Trolley Renewal Project.
