Krmed is a village in Istria, Croatia.

Bale (Venetian: Vałe; Italian: Valle, previously Valle d'Istria; Istriot: Vale) is a settlement and municipality in Istria County, Croatia. The origins of the settlement lie in the Roman stronghold of Castrum Vallis, built by Caius Palcrus to protect the salt-pan road from Pula-Pola to Poreč-Parenzo. Bale was built around the medieval castle of the noble families Sardo and Bembo from the 15th century. The municipality covers a total area of 81.65 km2 (31.53 sq mi) and has a total population of 1,170. The municipality is officially bilingual, Croatian and Italian, hence both names are official and equal. Bale-Valle is connected to the Croatian highway network by an exit on the A9 motorway (E751), part of the Istrian Y.

Barbariga is a hamlet, administratively part of village of Peroj in the Town of Vodnjan, Istria, Croatia. It is located near the Barbariga peninsula or Punta Cissana (named after the lost ancient settlement of Cissa), 22 km northwest of Pula, northwest of Fažana and Vodnjan and southwest of Bale. Apart from the actual village of Barbariga (which comprises a small shopping/restaurant centre and a modest housing estate) the area is virtually unpopulated. It boasts a coastline backed by (relatively) flat land, which is unusual in this part of Croatia, where the mountains generally crash straight into the sea. As of 2006, there was a major plan afoot to build Croatia's first integrated resort by 2013. This will comprise a luxury hotel that will include a spa, wellness center and meeting facilities; a variety of residential offerings totaling more than 460 units; a 350-berth marina; and an 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

The Kanfanar interchange (Croatian: Čvor Kanfanar) is a cloverleaf interchange west of Kanfanar, Croatia. The interchange represents the western terminus of the A8 motorway and it connects the A8 route to the A9 motorway representing major a link in the Croatian motorway system. The interchange represents a junction of three arms of the European route E751.Construction of the interchange marked start of construction of the A9 motorway in form of an expressway. Its construction started in 1988 and finished in 1991, making it a part of the first section of the Pula–Umag route which was subsequently expanded to comprise six lanes and dual carriageways, connecting the largest tourist resorts in the western Istria to Slovenia.
