Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum, often known as The Discovery, is a science center and museum located in Reno, Nevada. The museum, a private non-profit, was founded in 2011 and is geared towards both children and adults. It showcases science, technology, engineering, art, and math permanent and special exhibits in its 67,000 square foot space.

The Levy House, at 111-121 California Ave. in Reno, Nevada, is a historic Classical Revival-style house that was built in 1906. It was home of William Levy, a merchant and mining businessman.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, qualifying as a high-quality example of the Classical Revival style, for its association with Levy, and as a significant component of local history.: 3 The building was moved c. 1940, turning it 90 degrees and repositioning it on the lot.

The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts (originally known as Pioneer Theater Auditorium) is a theater located in Reno, Nevada. It was designed by the Oklahoma City architectural firm of Bozalis, Dickinson and Roloff as a concrete structure with a distinctive gold geodesic dome roof. The facility was completed in 1967 with 987 seats on the main level and 513 seats in a balcony, totaling to 1,500. The co-founder of Temcor, the project's contractor, was Don Richter, a student of Buckminster Fuller, developer of the geodesic dome concept. Temcor had built several gold-anodized aluminum domes before the Pioneer, and was responsible for more than 5000 dome projects.Originally to be called the Apollo Theater, the Pioneer took its name from a 1939 statue of a pioneer family by Byron S. Johnson, salvaged from the Old State Building, which was demolished to make way for the new facility. Unofficially, the dome was called the "Golden Turtle." It consists of a 500-panel aluminum shell on an inner steel frame, which is in turn supported by reinforced concrete arches. The orchestra level of the theater is depressed below ground level, allowing the roof to nearly touch the ground at the corners.The Washoe County Fair and Recreation Board, which was responsible for the project, was particularly taken with Casa Mañana in Fort Worth, Texas, resulting in the selection of the domed concept. The Pioneer Center was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Charles H. Burke House, at 36 Stewart St. in Reno, Nevada, is a historic house with Colonial Revival and Queen Anne elements that was designed and built by Charles H. Burke in 1908.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It was deemed significant for its architecture, and for its association with Charles H. Burke (1865–1944). Burke developed a subdivision termed the Burke's Addition, and more, in southeast Reno.

The Southside Studio, formerly known as Southside School and Southside School Annex, at 190 E. Liberty in Reno, Nevada, was built in 1936 as an additional building to a 1903-built original building. Only the 1936 annex building survives. It was built with Works Progress Administration funding. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.According to its NRHP nomination, it was deemed notable "for its association with events that have made a significant contribution to the broad patterns of our history" and also for "its embodiment of a regional interpretation of the Art Deco style in Nevada.": 9 The building was leased to the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019 and officially opened in August of 2021 as an expansion to the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center containing a robotics education center for K-12 students, a wood shop, and office space.

The former Reno Main Post Office, located at 50 S. Virginia St. in Reno, Nevada, was built in 1933. The post office was designed by noted Nevada architect Frederic J. DeLongchamps and was built by the MacDonald Engineering Co., of Chicago, at cost of $363,660. This building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. as U.S. Post Office-Reno Main.This building was deemed "an outstanding example of a combined post office and federal office building for a medium-sized city.": 3  And, according to its 1990 NRHP nomination this is the sole post office built by the U.S. government in Nevada that has Art Deco/Moderne styling, but it is overall "Starved Classical" in style. In 2007, this Reno Post Office building was repurposed as a business office building, named 'West Elm'. The main Reno Post Office is now located on Vassar Street.

The Renaissance Reno (formerly Holiday Reno and Siena Reno) is a hotel and former casino in Reno, Nevada. It opened in 1956 as the Holiday, closed in 1998, and reopened as Siena in 2001. It uses the Renaissance Hotels brand under license from Marriott International.

Riverside Hotel is a former hotel and casino located in Downtown Reno, Nevada, that sits on the exact location where Reno began in 1859. The building now houses apartments and studios for artists and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Virginia Street Bridge was a historic concrete double arch bridge in downtown Reno, Nevada, US, carrying Virginia Street across the Truckee River. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The bridge is sometimes referred to as the "Wedding Ring Bridge" or the "Bridge of Sighs".In both 2002 and 2006, the bridge was listed as one of the "Eleven Most Endangered Historic Places in Nevada" by Preserve Nevada, a historic preservation organization partnered with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).Due to structural and flood control concerns, the bridge was replaced in 2016.

The Nortonia Boarding House, at 150 Ridge St. in Reno, Nevada, was built in c.1900-1904. In 1906 it was purchased by Norton, who changed it to a boarding house, and it was also extended then. It is primarily Queen Anne in style but includes elements of Colonial Revival architecture as well. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is notable as "one of the best" surviving Queen Anne houses in Reno.

The National Automobile Museum is a museum in Reno, Nevada. Most of the vehicles displayed are from the collection of William F. Harrah. The museum opened on November 5, 1989.

The Joseph Giraud House, at 442 Flint St. in Reno, Nevada, United States, is a historic house that was designed by prominent Nevada architect Frederick DeLongchamps and was built in 1914. Also known as the Hardy House, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It was deemed significant for its architecture and for its association with sheeprancher Joseph Giraud and businessman Roy Hardy.
