Durdle Door

Scratchy Bottom (or Scratchy's Bottom) is a clifftop valley between Durdle Door and Bat's Head in Dorset, England. A dry valley in the chalk, it is surrounded by farmland at its sides and landward end, with cliffs at the seaward end. The name is thought to refer to a rough hollow. Scratchy Bottom has been noted for its unusual place name. The location came second after Shitterton, also in Dorset, in a 2012 poll for "Britain's worst place name" carried out by the genealogy website Find My Past. Scratchy Bottom was the location for the opening of the 1967 film Far from the Madding Crowd, in a scene in which Gabriel Oak's sheep are driven over a cliff by his sheepdog.

Man o' War Cove (or Man of War Bay and similar names) lies on the Dorset coast in southern England and is flanked by the rocky, steep and slightly projecting headlands of Durdle Door to the west and Man O War (or O' War) Head to the east. Its name is believed to be a corruption of the Brythonic 'Men-an-Vawr' (The Great Rock)

St Oswald's Bay is located near Lulworth on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England. The bay has a narrow beach of shingle with high chalk cliffs. The beach is cut off at high tide at the western end. At the eastern end, the descent to the shore is steep and slippery if wet. The beach is isolated with no facilities. There are sometimes rockfalls and landslides on the cliffs, a particularly large one occurring in April 2013, which resulted in the destruction and closure of part of the South West Coast Path on the clifftop.

Swyre Head, Lulworth is a hill and sea cliff which lies on the Jurassic Coast between Bat's Head to the west and Durdle Door to the east, close to Lulworth (further to the east) in Dorset, England. It is located approximately 8 miles (12.9 km) east of Weymouth and 14 miles (22.5 km) west of Swanage. Swyre Head, Lulworth, lies only about 8.5 miles (13.7 km) west of another Swyre Head, which is located close to the village of Kingston and which is the highest point on the peninsula known as the Isle of Purbeck. The cliffs of Swyre Head, Lulworth, are of chalk and are steep, with grassland and a footpath above. The footpath runs close to the cliff edge and is steeply undulating. Despite the steepness, it is popular for walks and the scenery is spectacular. Between Swyre Head and the natural rock arch of Durdle Door is a small dry valley known as Scratchy Bottom.

Bat's Head is a chalk headland on the Dorset coast in southern England. It is located between Swyre Head and Durdle Door to the east, and Chaldon Hill and White Nothe to the west. At the base of the headland is the small Bat's Cave. The chalk in Bat's Head is vertical. Part of the chalk is referred to as Lewes Nodular Chalk Formation, and is part of the "White Chalk Subgroup" of the "Chalk Group".

Hambury Tout is a large chalk hill by the coast near Lulworth, Dorset, England. It overlooks Lulworth Cove to the west. Hambury Tout is the site of an ancient burial mound.

Dungy Head is a coastal promontory located west of Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England. It forms the eastern end of St Oswald's Bay. It is composed of Portland stone strata. The surrounding area is popular for coastal walks, which yield impressive views. Cliff-climbing however is dangerous and not recommended.

West Lulworth is a village and civil parish in the English county of Dorset, situated on the English Channel beside Lulworth Cove. In the 2011 census the civil parish—which includes most of Lulworth Camp army base—had 291 households and a population of 714. The village is a gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and is a popular tourist destination, especially for day trips.
