Mount Zion Church and Cemetery (Hallsville, Missouri)

The Battle of Mount Zion Church was fought on December 28, 1861, in Boone County, near Mount Zion Church, during the American Civil War. The resulting Union victory here and elsewhere in central Missouri ended Confederate recruiting activities in the region and pushed conventional Confederate forces out of the area until the desperate fall 1864 invasion by General Sterling Price and his Missouri State Guard.

Two Mile Prairie is an area in northern Columbia Township, Boone County, Missouri, United States, northeast of Columbia. Its elevation is 879 feet (268 m). It shares a name with Two Mile Prairie Elementary School in Columbia. The community is part of the Columbia Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was named for its location on a two-mile wide prairie. It was described as "opulent" in 1908.

It opened for summer school on June 3, 2013, and began its first school year in August 2013. The school serves students in grades 9–12, although seniors did not attend the first year of operation. It is one of four public high schools in the Columbia Public Schools district. Former NFL defensive lineman Atiyyah Ellison worked here as a football coach.
