The Hollywood Theater is a historic theater building in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, which is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Art Deco theater building opened on October 26, 1935, and the marquee proclaimed it the "Incomparable Showcase of the Northwest". The theater, designed by architects Jack Liebenberg and Seeman Kaplan, had a generous budget that allowed for elaborate decoration in the Streamline Deco style of design; its facade and structure made a "powerful statement of geometric mass punctuated by the entrance, exits, and three small windows that served the projection booth." Liebenberg and Kaplan went on to design the Riverview Theatre in Minneapolis and the Terrace Theatre in Robbinsdale. The building featured a tall vertical sign, a patterned terrazzo floor, gilded pillars, and acoustical tiles in geometric patterns. It had a seating capacity of just under 1000. Much of the interior features are influenced by the Zig-Zag Moderne and Streamline Moderne styles. The exterior is built of smooth Kasota limestone with vertical lines that transition to horizontal.Although the theater was praised as "the Twin Cities' most beautiful and modern neighborhood theatre" and the "incomparable showplace of the Northwest", it was not financially successful. It went through a series of ownership changes until it closed in 1987. The theater was designated as a local landmark by the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission in 1990. It was unable to compete with video stores and multiplexes. Despite the historic designation, a number of development proposals for the property have fizzled since its closing. A 1989 proposal hinted at converting the theater into fourteen apartments, and another proposal in 1989 included converting the building to a photograph and film production studio. The Minneapolis Community Development Agency bought the theater in 1993. In 1998, they considered proposals for reuse, such as a full restoration, a partial rehabilitation such as the lobby area, or completely demolishing the theater. At the time, concerns included deterioration of the brick walls and water in the basement. In 2009, the city bought an adjacent property and cleared it to provide extra space for parking or related development. In 2015, the property was sold to a developer with plans to renovate it into office space while retaining the building's historic character.The Hollywood Theater was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 5, 2014. It was considered notable for its Streamline Moderne design by prominent theater architects Liebenberg & Kaplan and its association with the growth of locally owned, streetcar-accessible neighborhood cinemas during the Great Depression.

Windom Park is a neighborhood in the Northeast community in Minneapolis. Its boundaries are Lowry Avenue NE to the north, New Brighton Boulevard to the east, 18th Avenue NE to the south, and Central Avenue to the west. The neighborhood's housing stock is split evenly between owned properties and rental properties. In 2006, the average home sale price in Windom Park was $240,500. In the west part of the neighborhood, houses were mostly built between 1895 and 1910. On the east side, most houses were built after World War II. The rental property is primarily concentrated in a complex of apartments between Ulysses and Arthur Street south of 19th Avenue. Additional rental property is scattered throughout the neighborhood. Greater amounts of rental property exist west of Johnson than on the east side of the neighborhood.

The Cycling Museum of Minnesota is a non-profit organization whose mission is to celebrate the history of cycling in Minnesota and its impact on the state's culture and communities. The museum collects bicycles and cycling-related artifacts to preserve this history. It also organizes exhibitions, educational programs, and advocacy efforts to promote cycling.

It was opened in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1949, to give children "their own spot of earth and plenty of tools and materials for digging, building and creating as they see fit."

Its boundaries are 18th Avenue NE and New Brighton Boulevard to the north, the city limits to the northeast, Interstate 35W to the southeast, Broadway Street NE to the south, and Central Avenue to the west. The Quarry shopping center is located in this neighborhood. Northeast Athletic Field Park resides in the neighborhood with various baseball fields, soccer fields and playgrounds. In 2018, A new Recreation center was built in the Northeast Athletic Field Park.

Waite Park is a neighborhood in the Northeast community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its boundaries are 37th Avenue NE to the north, NE Stinson Boulevard to the East, Saint Anthony Parkway to the south, and NE Central Avenue to the west. It is the furthest northeast neighborhood within Minneapolis. The neighborhood is within Minneapolis's first ward and falls under the jurisdiction of the second precinct of the Minneapolis Police Department.

Thomas Edison High School is the only public high school in the Northeast community of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It was named after the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison. Located in the Holland neighborhood, the school's academic focus areas are: American Studies, Business Enterprise, Candidate International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Personal Care & Therapeutic Services, and Technology & Multi Media.The school opened in 1922. Additions have been made to the rear of the building, and a gymnasium was built across Monroe Street. The track and football field are behind this gym, and the school's baseball/softball field is in adjacent Jackson Square Park.

Indeed Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in the Logan Park neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis. It was founded in 2011 by friends Thomas Whisenand, Rachel Anderson, and Nathan Berndt. The three brought in Josh Bischoff, formerly a brewer at Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis, as their head brewer.In August 2012, Indeed's taproom officially opened to the public and it began distributing kegged beer to bars and restaurants. In October 2012 they began canning and distributing their two flagship beers, Day Tripper American Pale Ale and Midnight Rider American Black Ale, to liquor stores throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.In July 2013, a $250,000 expansion was announced with the aim of doubling the brewery's capacity to 6,400bbl per year. In August 2013, Indeed reported it was on track to brew over 6,000bbl by the end of 2013 and that its beers were now available in over 300 bars, restaurants and liquor stores throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The brewery further expanded its distribution to outstate Minnesota in 2014.The brewery won a silver medal for their Mexican Honey Imperial Lager at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival. In late 2014 they also revealed the first of a series of wood-aged sour beers they had developed at a separate facility near their brewery.In November 2018, the brewery announced plans to expand to Milwaukee. A new brewery and taproom in the city's Walker's Point neighborhood has a planned opening date in June 2019.Indeed expanded its offerings in 2020 creating Quincy's Corner (named after the intersection of Quincy St & 15th Avenue NE). This is an extension to their taproom that offers various sundries and vinyl collections for sale.

It is located along the west bank of the Mississippi River and includes several industrial businesses, North Mississippi Regional Park, a few residents, establishments, and other undeveloped space. The neighborhood is located in Minneapolis City Council Ward 4, currently represented by Minneapolis City Council member LaTrisha Vetaw.

St. Anthony, also known as Saint Anthony Village, is a city in Hennepin and Ramsey counties in the U.S. state of Minnesota. At the 2010 census the population was 8,226, of whom 5,156 lived in the larger Hennepin County part of the city and 3,070 in the Ramsey County part. The city is run by a five-member council consisting of a mayor and four council members who serve four-year terms.
