Logan Park, Minneapolis

Indeed Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in the Logan Park neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis. It was founded in 2011 by friends Thomas Whisenand, Rachel Anderson, and Nathan Berndt. The three brought in Josh Bischoff, formerly a brewer at Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis, as their head brewer.In August 2012, Indeed's taproom officially opened to the public and it began distributing kegged beer to bars and restaurants. In October 2012 they began canning and distributing their two flagship beers, Day Tripper American Pale Ale and Midnight Rider American Black Ale, to liquor stores throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.In July 2013, a $250,000 expansion was announced with the aim of doubling the brewery's capacity to 6,400bbl per year. In August 2013, Indeed reported it was on track to brew over 6,000bbl by the end of 2013 and that its beers were now available in over 300 bars, restaurants and liquor stores throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The brewery further expanded its distribution to outstate Minnesota in 2014.The brewery won a silver medal for their Mexican Honey Imperial Lager at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival. In late 2014 they also revealed the first of a series of wood-aged sour beers they had developed at a separate facility near their brewery.In November 2018, the brewery announced plans to expand to Milwaukee. A new brewery and taproom in the city's Walker's Point neighborhood has a planned opening date in June 2019.Indeed expanded its offerings in 2020 creating Quincy's Corner (named after the intersection of Quincy St & 15th Avenue NE). This is an extension to their taproom that offers various sundries and vinyl collections for sale.

Thomas Edison High School is the only public high school in the Northeast community of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It was named after the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison. Located in the Holland neighborhood, the school's academic focus areas are: American Studies, Business Enterprise, Candidate International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Personal Care & Therapeutic Services, and Technology & Multi Media.The school opened in 1922. Additions have been made to the rear of the building, and a gymnasium was built across Monroe Street. The track and football field are behind this gym, and the school's baseball/softball field is in adjacent Jackson Square Park.

St. Anthony East is a neighborhood in the Northeast community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its boundaries are Broadway Street NE to the north, Central Avenue to the east and southeast, 2nd Avenue to the south, 5th Street NE to the southwest, and Washington Street to the west.

St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Protection of the Holy Virgin, is a cathedral of the Orthodox Church in America and the Diocese of the Midwest, located in Minneapolis. It is one of only two Orthodox churches in Northeast Minneapolis, and of 16 local Orthodox churches in the Twin Cities. The cathedral is dedicated to the feast of the Protection of the Virgin Mary, celebrated annually on October 1. The parish community has been at its present location since 1887 when faithful immigrants primarily from Slovakia, Carpatho-Rus, and Ukraine built their first church of wood. The present congregation includes third and fourth generation descendants of the original founders, along with men and women from across the greater Twin Cities region from all nationalities and backgrounds. Through the years, many of today's parishioners have converted to Orthodox Christianity, reflecting the diversity of Orthodoxy and residents of Minnesota. In 1904, the structure burned to the ground, and members decided to build the larger steel and stone structure in continuous use to the present day. Designed in the popular Russian Baroque style of the period by local Twin Cities architect Victor Cordella the design reflects the Dormition Orthodox Cathedral in Omsk, Russia, a popular style in the early 20th century for Russian churches. The present cathedral in Minneapolis was consecrated in 1906 by Patriarch Tikhon of Moscow. Monks from the Trinity-St. Sergius Monastery outside of Moscow installed the hand-painted iconography and carved iconostasis. St. Tikhon was later elected Patriarch of Moscow (d. 1925) and glorified as a New-Martyr, a missionary builder of the Orthodox Church in North America. Now in its second century, the Cathedral structure recently underwent comprehensive exterior restoration efforts to ensure its stability and usability for future generations. The first phase of new interior icons were installed in 2012 and the second phase was completed in 2015. It is hoped that additional icons will be added in the coming years, further enriching the vibrant liturgical life for those who call St. Mary’s home. The first officiating priest at the future cathedral was Saint Alexis Toth, who was canonized in 1994. He was at St Mary's from 1889 to 1893. He came into conflict with the local Roman Catholic bishop, John Ireland, who disapproved of a widower becoming a priest, but succeeded in establishing the congregation within what would become the Orthodox Church in America Diocese of the Midwest. The original wooden church burned down in 1904; by the time it was replaced, the congregation was around 900.

The Quarry shopping center is located in this neighborhood. Northeast Athletic Field Park resides in the neighborhood with various baseball fields, soccer fields and playgrounds. In 2018, A new Recreation center was built in the Northeast Athletic Field Park.

The Cycling Museum of Minnesota is a non-profit organization whose mission is to celebrate the history of cycling in Minnesota and its impact on the state's culture and communities. Beltrami neighborhood and park are named after Giacomo Constantino Beltrami, an early 19th-century Italian jurist, scholar and explorer. Midway Contemporary Art is a non-profit arts organization located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its gallery and research library are located in the Sheridan and Marcy Homes neighborhoods of the city, respectively. Both are free and open to the public.

The Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged is a building in northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, built by a charitable organization, the Little Sisters of the Poor. They came to Minneapolis in 1889 to build a home for the aged. Architect Frederick Corser designed the first part of the building in 1895, consisting of a 3+1⁄2-story building with an attached chapel. Corser's design was based more on its scale and proportion than on its ornamentation.The home needed more space, so in 1905 Corser designed an east wing of the structure, following the original design principles. In 1914 still more space was added in a west wing, this time designed by Frederick Kees and Serenus Colburn, but following the same design. The Sisters and their patients later moved in 1977 to a new building in Saint Paul. The old building, on Broadway Street Northeast between Second and Third Avenues, was renovated into a 71-unit apartment complex. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
