Farsta strand metro station is on the green line of the Stockholm metro, located in Farsta strand, Söderort. It is the end station for line 18. The station was opened on 29 August 1971 as the southern terminus of the extension from Farsta. The distance to Slussen is 10.4 km (6 mi). The Farsta strand commuter rail station is 200 metres away.

It is considered as of great recreational value and is popular for bathing, yachting, and fishing in summers, and tour skating in winters. Forsån (Swedish: "Rapids' Stream") is a stream in southern Stockholm, Sweden. It is also known as Stortorpsån and Forsen. Leaving lake Magelungen calmly by a small sandy beach, Forsån's upper reach passes through a furrow blown in the 1860s to lower the level of the lake resulting in the present wide torrents passing through the bedrock. In contrast, the last 500 metres of the course are characterized by flat shores and stagnant, overgrown waters. The stream has a vigorous population of signal crayfish and is the only winter habitat in Stockholm for white-throated dipper.

Sköndal is a district in the Farsta borough of southern Stockholm. It neighbours Gubbängen to the northwest, Hökarängen to the west, Farsta to the southwest and Larsboda to the south. To the east and partially north it neighbours the Skarpnäck borough, in particular the districts of Skarpnäcks Gård and Orhem. As of December 31, 2008, the total population of Sköndal is 7,450.The area was largely developed in the 1950s and 1960, with the building of a number of apartment blocks. In 1969 the shopping centre Sköndals Centrum was built, consisting of small number of shops around an open square. The local library is found here, along with a small supermarket, a newsagents and a bar.Sköndal is well served by Stockholm's public transport system, with buses running from Sköndals Centrum to Farsta, and from the nearby motorway, Tyresövägen, to Gullmarsplan. The area is largely residential, though broken up by green spaces, wooded areas and footpaths and cycleways. Close by is the lake Drevviken, with a walking trail around the edge, and the Flaten conservation area.

Drevviken is a lake in southern Stockholm, Sweden, shared by the four municipalities Stockholm, Haninge, Huddinge, and Tyresö. While much of the surrounding area is used for one-family houses, the lake and the green space north of it are considered to be of great recreational and natural importance and forms part of a suggested nature reserve around lake Flaten.

Trångsund is 17 minutes away from Stockholm City Station by train on the Bålsta-Nynäshamn line of the Stockholm commuter rail.

Hökarängen is a district in the Farsta borough of southern Stockholm. It neighbours Fagersjö to the west, Farsta to the south, Sköndal to the east and Gubbängen to the north. As of 2017, the total population of Hökarängen is 9,564The district was one of the first examples of the many new suburbs built along the new subway in the decades after World War II. The Hökarängen metro station is located in the district. It was opened on October 1, 1950, as part of the first route of the Stockholm metro, running from Slussen to Hökarängen. The station is on the green line (T18) and has two exits, one in the central part of Hökarängen (by Örbyleden), and the other in the southern part of the district, near Sirapsvägen.
