Lindsay is an unincorporated community in Albemarle County, Virginia, United States.

Cobham Park, or Cobham Park Estate, is a historic estate located near Cobham, in Albemarle County and Louisa County, Virginia. The mansion was built in 1856, and is a rectangular 2+1⁄2-story, five-bay, double-pile structure covered by a hipped roof with three hipped roof dormers on each of the main slopes, and one dormer on each end. The house is an unusual example of ante-bellum period Georgian style architecture. It features front and rear, simple Doric order porches supported on square Ionic order columns. Also on the property are: two smokehouses, one brick and one frame, a frame dependency, and a simple two-story frame dwelling. It was the summer home of William Cabell Rives, Jr., (1825-1890), second son of the noted United States senator and minister to France William Cabell Rives.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Baker–Strickler House, also known as May's Place, is a historic home located at Gordonsville, Louisa County, Virginia. It was built about 1856, and is a two-story, three-bay frame I-house dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It features decorative corner pilasters, a peaked door and window lintels, and a two-layer exterior frieze on all four elevations.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Castle Hill (Virginia) is an historic, privately owned, 600-acre (243 ha) plantation located at the foot of the Southwest Mountains in Albemarle County, Virginia, near Monticello and the city of Charlottesville, and is recognized by the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places. Castle Hill was the home of Dr. Thomas Walker (1715–1794) and his wife, Mildred Thornton Meriwether (widow of Nicholas Meriwether III). Walker was a close friend and the physician of Peter Jefferson, and later the guardian of young Thomas Jefferson after his father's death.

Grace Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at 5607 Gordonsville Road in Keswick, Albemarle County, Virginia, United States. The Gothic Revival building was designed by architect William Strickland in 1847. It is the only known work of Strickland in Virginia. The interior was rebuilt after a fire in 1895."Both the church and the hunt club have a long history in Keswick. The congregation dates back to 1745 as one of the first six churches in the Virginia colony back when the Church of England was the official state-sanctioned religion. The original church was replaced with a new building in 1855 but a fire two decades later left only the tower and walls standing. Those were incorporated into the current church when it was rebuilt at the site north of Cismont on Route 231. The church’s 1,575-pound bell was salvaged and is still in use. In fact, it will ring 10 times at 9:45 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day to announce the 10 a.m. prayer service, calling the congregation, hunters, steeds and dogs together."It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 21, 1976.

Zion Crossroads is an unincorporated community in Louisa and Fluvanna counties of Virginia. It is at the intersections of James Madison Highway (U.S. Route 15) and Three Notch Road (U.S. Route 250). Interstate 64 in Virginia passes one-half mile to the northeast.

Southwest Mountains Rural Historic District is a national historic district located near Keswick, Albemarle County, Virginia. The district encompasses 854 contributing buildings, 73 contributing sites, 30 contributing structures, and 1 contributing object. It includes a variety of large farms, historic villages, and crossroads communities. The area is known primarily for its large and imposing Federal, Greek Revival, and Georgian Revival plantation houses and country estates. It features a broad range of architecture—mainly domestic and farm-related—from the late 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Troy is an unincorporated community in Fluvanna County, Virginia, United States. It lies just west of U.S. Route 15, between Zion Crossroads to the north and the county seat of Palmyra to the south. Troy's existence was defined by the Virginia Air Line Railway, which operated from 1908 to 1975. In 1998, the Virginia Department of Corrections opened the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women in the area.

Barboursville is the ruin of the mansion of James Barbour, located in Barboursville, Virginia. He was the former U.S. Senator, U.S. Secretary of War, and Virginia Governor. It is now within the property of Barboursville Vineyards. The house was designed by Thomas Jefferson, president of the United States and Barbour's friend and political ally. The ruin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
