The Guardian Council (also called Council of Guardians or Constitutional Council, Persian: شورای نگهبان, romanized: Shourā-ye Negahbān) is an appointed and constitutionally mandated 12-member council that wields considerable power and influence in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The constitution of the Islamic Republic gives the council three mandates: a) veto power over legislation passed by the parliament (Majlis); b) supervision of elections; and c) approving or disqualifying candidates seeking to run in local, parliamentary, presidential, or Assembly of Experts elections.The Iranian constitution calls for the council to be composed of six Islamic faqihs (experts in Islamic Law), "conscious of the present needs and the issues of the day" to be selected by the Supreme Leader of Iran, and six jurists, "specializing in different areas of law, to be elected by the Majlis (the Iranian Parliament) from among the Muslim jurists nominated by the Chief Justice" (who, in turn, is also appointed by the Supreme Leader).The Council has played a central role in controlling the interpretation of Islamic values in Iranian law in the following ways: As part of its vetting of potential candidates to determine who can and cannot run for national office, it has disqualified reform-minded candidates—including the most well-known candidates—from running for office; Vetoes laws passed by the popularly elected Majlis. Has increased the influence that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (an ideological fighting force separate from the Iranian army) has on the economic and cultural life of the country.When the 2009 presidential election was announced, popular former president Mohammad Khatami would not discuss his plans to run against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, for the Council might have disqualified Khatami as it had other reformists' candidatures, on the grounds that they were not dedicated enough to Islamic values.There have also been instances where the Constitutional Council reversed its ban on particular people after being ordered to do so by Khamenei.

The Assembly of Experts (Persian: مجلس خبرگان رهبری, romanized: majles-e khobregân-e rahbari), also translated as the Assembly of Experts of the Leadership or as the Council of Experts, is the deliberative body empowered to appoint the Supreme Leader of Iran. All directly elected members must first be vetted by the Guardian Council. All candidates to the Assembly of Experts must be approved by the Guardian Council whose members are, in turn, appointed either directly or indirectly by the Supreme Leader. The Assembly consists of 88 Mujtahids that are elected from lists of thoroughly vetted candidates (in 2016 166 candidates were approved by the Guardians out of 801 who applied to run for the office), by direct public vote for eight-year terms. The number of members has ranged from 82 elected in 1982 to 88 elected in 2016. Current laws require the assembly to meet at least twice every six months.

The Senate (Persian: مجلس سنا, romanized: Majles-e Senā) was the upper house legislative chamber in the Imperial State of Iran from 1949 to 1979. A bicameral legislature had been established in the 1906 Persian Constitutional Revolution but the Senate was not actually formed until after the 1949 Constituent Assembly election, as an expression of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's desire for better distribution of power (similar to many democratic countries). Half of the sixty seats in the senate were directly appointed by the Shah, and the other half were directly elected, fifteen represented Tehran, and the rest were elected from other regions.The Senate was disbanded after the Iranian Revolution in 1979, when the new constitution established a unicameral legislature. As of 2023, the former Senate building was used by the Assembly of Experts.

Daneshgah-e Emam Ali Metro Station, which is translated into Imam Ali University Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 2. It is located in Imam Khomeini Street in front of the old Majles building near Imam Ali University. It is between Imam Khomeini Metro Station and Hor Square Metro Station. The station is named after Imam Ali University for Army Officers, which is located near the station on Imam Khomeini Street. The Assembly of Experts' building is also located next to this station.

Moghadam House or Moghadam Museum House of the University of Tehran is a historical mansion related to the late Qajar period in Tehran, which was the residence of the Ehtesaba-al-Molk and Moghaddam families and is now a museum of historical objects. This museum house was originally a large and luxurious mansion and the residence of the family of Mohammad Taghi Khan Ehtesab al-Molk,one of the famous officials of the Qajar court and the head of the time accounting office (municipality) of Tehran and the sovereign minister of Iran in Bern, Switzerland. It was later owned by his son Mohsen Moghadam, a professor of archeology at the University of Tehran. He and his wife, Selma Kouyoumjian, lived in their father's house in Tehran. Mohsen Moghadam and Selma, who was born in Bulgaria and is the director of the Library of the National Museum of Iran, in addition to scientific activities, collected many works and objects with the aim of preserving the cultural and historical heritage of Iran.Mohsen Moghadam has installed many valuable collected works such as tiles, carved stone pieces, etc., inspired by the traditional-historical spaces, in a significant way in this old building. He has also gathered some other pieces such as the collection of fabric, Chibouk, smoke pot, hookah, pottery. He has kept glass works, paintings, mosaics, coins, historical documents, etc. in a special order in his parental house.

The Office of the Supreme Leader of Iran (Persian: دفتر رهبر جمهوری اسلامی ایران, Daftar-e Magham-e Moazzam-e Rahbari lit. Office of the Supreme Leadership Authority), also known as the House of Leadership (Persian: بیت رهبری, Beit-e Rahbari), is the official residence, bureaucratic office and principal workplace of the Supreme Leader of Iran since 1989. Its structure is a mixture of traditional Beit (religious office of Marja') and bureaucracy. The institution is located in central Tehran and is run by Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani.

Imam Ali Officers' University (Persian: دانشگاه افسری امام علی; acronym: دا اف, DĀʿAF), formerly known as Officers' School (Persian: دانشکده افسری) is the military academy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces, located in Tehran, Iran. Cadets of the academy achieve the second lieutenant rank upon graduation and join the Ground Forces. It is considered one of the best military academies in the region.

National Organization for Civil Registration of Iran is one of the governmental organizations in Iran that is responsible for collecting information and population statistics of Iran. This organization with independent duties and functions is one of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Interior of Iran. The organization is responsible for providing basic registration information such as births, deaths and marriages, as well as issuing identity documents such as birth certificates and Identity certificate. The current head of the organization is Hashem Kargar. In Iran, the third day of Dey (month) (23 or 24 December) has been named as National Organization for Civil Registration Day.It was successfully hacked September 2023 vital records of l entire population stolen.

Hasan Abad Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 2. It is located in the junction of Imam Khomeini Street and Hafez Street in Si-o-Yek Shahrivar Square. It is between Imam Khomeini Metro Station and Imam Ali University Metro Station.

Hossein Abad Metro Station is a metro train station in line 3 of the Tehran Metro. It is located on Mozhdeh Street at Hossein Abad neighbourhood in Northwestern Tehran.This station is the 106th station of Tehran Metro with a unique architectural design constructed in 10,000 m2 of land area for which more than 85000 m3 of excavation, 25000 m2 of formwork, 35000 m3 of concrete and 4000 tons of reinforcement have been done. 16 escalators have been installed to carry passengers to various levels. On 12 December 2016 with the speeches delivered by Tehran Mayor and CEO of Tehran Urban & Suburban Railway Co. and at presence of senior managers of Boland Payeh Co., Hossein Abad Metro Station is officially opened to public. Boland Payeh Co. is the design and build contractor for construction of this station. The company has completed major parts of Line 3 of Tehran Metro, which connects south-west of Tehran to its north-east.

The Cathedral of the Consolata, also called the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Tehran, is a Catholic Church building in the city of Tehran, Iran, in which the Latin or Roman rite is followed. It is not to be confused with the Chaldean Catholic cathedral of Tehran, St. Joseph's Cathedral, where the Chaldean rite is followed. The cathedral is located near the Italian embassy in Tehran. It is the main church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Teheran-Isfahan (Archidioecesis Teheranensis-Hispahanensis Latinorum), which was created in 1629 by Pope Urban VIII. It is under the pastoral responsibility of Bishop Dominique Mathieu, O.F.M. Conv. Due to the diversity of nationalities of Christians in the city, it offers religious services in various languages.

The Latin Archdiocese of Tehran–Isfahan (Latin: Archidioecesis Teheranensis-Hispahanensis Latinorum) is a particular church of the Catholic Church in Iran.Pope Francis changed the name of this jurisdiction to the Archdiocese of Tehran–Isfahan from the Archdiocese of Isfahan on 8 January 2021.Besides a small number of Latin Rite locals, most Roman Catholics in Iran are foreigners living in the country. The majority of Catholics in Iran belong to the Chaldean Catholic Church, and there is also a small Armenian Catholic diocese.
