Pusan East (K-9) Air Base(동부산공군기지) was a United States Air Force (USAF) and Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) air base adjacent to the Suyeong River in Haeundae District, Busan, South Korea. It was redeveloped in the 1990s as Centum City, a commercial and residential area.

This site is at the westernmost area of Haeundae-gu in U-1-dong, Jae-song-dong. The site was originally the place of Suyeong Airport, the former airport of Busan. Centum City can be accessed by Busan Metro Line 2 at Centum City Station.

The former station name is unrelated to the station of the same name of the Busan Metro. Suyeong station was renamed to Centum station on December 30, 2016. It is also served by Mugunghwa-ho on the Donghae Line.

Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (Korean: 부산전시컨벤션센터), commonly known as BEXCO (벡스코), is a convention and exhibition center located in Centum City, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea. It features over 46,500 m2 of exhibition space and 53 meeting rooms. In June 2012, BEXCO completed its expansion to add a 4,002-seat auditorium and a new exhibition center.BEXCO has hosted a variety of events, notability as a concert venue for Koreans as well as international artists, such as Grammy Award winners Michael Bolton and Dr. Dre.

Suyeong Station is a station on the Busan Metro Line 2 and Line 3 located in U-dong, Suyeong District, Busan. The station is unrelated to the Centum station operated by Korail.

Busan Japanese School (釜山日本人学校, Korean: 부산일본인학교), formerly known in English as Pusan Japanese School (PJS), is a Japanese international school in Suyeong District, Busan, South Korea, 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from central Busan, and in proximity to Gwangalli Beach (a.k.a. Gwangan Beach). The Busan Japanese School is the Japanese overseas school that is physically closest to Japan itself.It was established on October 1, 1975 (Showa 50).In 2013 the school had 13 teachers teaching 47 students, with 38 in elementary school and nine in junior high school. By 2017 the student population was declining as Japanese companies sent fewer employees abroad in general and as the economy declined in Busan; Japanese companies by that time preferred assigning employees to Seoul.

Sailing/Yachting is an Olympic sport starting from the 1896 Olympics in Athens, Greece). With the exception of 1904 and possibly the canceled 1916 Summer Olympics, sailing has always been included on the Olympic schedule. The Sailing program of 1988 consisted of a total of eight sailing classes (disciplines). For each class seven races were scheduled from 20 September 1988 to 27 September 1988 of the coast of Busan and was the first time that a separate event was allocated exclusively for women (sailed in the 470 class). The sailing was done on the triangular type Olympic courses.

Suyeong District (Korean: 수영구) is a district (gu) in central Busan, South Korea. It has a population density of about 17,768 inhabitants per square kilometer (46,020/sq mi). Suyeong-gu was created in 1995 following its separation from Nam-gu. It is border in the North-East by the Suyeonggang River. The name 'Suyeong' came from 'Gyeongsang JwaSuyeong', means navy command of Gyeongsang left area (stand at Seoul and see south, this area is left side). The line 2 of Busan Subway runs through Suyeong-gu with 5 stations, from Millak to Namcheon. The southern terminal of line 3 is Suyeong station, making Suyeong an important location for subway transportation/transfers.
