St Paul's Church, West Derby

Melwood, in West Derby, Liverpool, was Liverpool Football Club's training ground from the 1950s until November 2020. It was not attached to The Liverpool F.C. Academy, which is at Kirkby. Melwood was bought by affordable housing development company Torus in 2019, as Liverpool invested in the Kirkby training ground so the First Team and Academy could train together, with increased space and better facilities. Liverpool's First Team and Academy have trained at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby since November 2020. Liverpool's plans to move in the summer of 2020 had been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.The Melwood ground previously belonged to St Francis Xavier, a local school. Melwood was named after two priests, Father Melling and Father Woodlock, who taught football at the school's playing fields.

Bellefield, in West Derby, Liverpool, is Everton FC's former training ground. Bellefield had been Everton FC's training ground since 1946. It was purchased in 1965 and officially opened on 12 July 1966. The Brazil national football team used it as a training base in the 1966 World Cup. On Tuesday, 9 October 2007, Bellefield training ground held its last senior first team training session and moved to Finch Farm in Halewood a day later.

Liverpool Buccaneers Rugby League Football Club are an amateur rugby league club from West Derby in Liverpool. The team plays home games at Sefton RUFC in West Derby. Currently they play in the North West Premier division of the Rugby League Conference and the North West Merit League.

The Village Cross, West Derby, Liverpool, England designed by William Eden Nesfield between 1861 and 1870. The carved capital, of what appears to be a column rather than a cross, is supposedly of John of England, during his reign West Derby would have been an important castle.

St Edward's College, England is a co-educational Catholic school with academy status in the UK located in the Liverpool suburb of West Derby. Founded in 1853 as the Catholic Institute, the college was formerly a boys grammar school run by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, known widely as the Irish Christian Brothers. St Edward's College is heavily oversubscribed every year - being the most oversubscribed school in Liverpool. The College has a reputation as being one of the best schools in North West England.

West Derby Castle was a Norman castle in West Derby, Liverpool, Merseyside; only cropmarks and underground ruins survive today.

Manor Court House, West Derby, Liverpool, England. The present building is the result of a rebuilding in 1662 of the courthouse previously rebuilt in 1586 by Queen Elizabeth I. There has been a courthouse in West Derby for over 1,000 years since the Wapentake court of the Vikings. It is constructed of sandstone as a single storey building with a stone tiled roof, and has one window and a studded door. The interior has the Steward's bench and Jury benches surrounding a table. The Steward was traditionally a member of the Molyneux family of nearby Croxteth Hall. The court dealt with minor offences such as drunkenness, vagrancy or failing to control animals and could only issue fines; failure to pay the fine could lead to time in the adjacent stocks, now relocated across the road.It is jointly maintained by Liverpool City Council and the West Derby Society and open to the public on Sunday afternoons between April and October. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is a children's hospital and NHS foundation trust in West Derby, Liverpool, England. It is one of the largest children's hospitals in the United Kingdom, and one of several specialist hospitals within the Liverpool City Region, alongside the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool Women's Hospital, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, the Walton Centre, Mersey Regional Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit, and Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

West Derby railway station was located on the North Liverpool Extension Line to the south of Mill Lane, West Derby, Liverpool, England. It opened on 1 December 1879. The station closed to passengers in November 1960 closing completely five years later. The line through the station site continued in use by freight trains until 1975, with the tracks being lifted in early 1979. The station was about 2 miles away from Croxteth Hall which was the home of Lord Sefton. The platforms are extant with the station building converted to a private residence and shop. The trackbed through the station site forms a part of the Trans Pennine Trail.
