Hanover County Municipal Airport (ICAO: KOFP, FAA LID: OFP) is a public airport located 14 miles (22 km) north of the central business district of Richmond, Virginia, and 5 miles (8 km) south of Ashland, Virginia, United States. It is owned by Hanover County in Virginia.This airport uses the three-letter location identifier code "OFP" which is assigned by the FAA; however, there is no three-letter location identifier code from IATA. The Battle of Hanover Court House, also known as the Battle of Slash Church, took place on May 27, 1862, in Hanover County, Virginia, as part of the Peninsula Campaign of the American Civil War. On May 27, elements of Brig. Gen. Fitz John Porter's V Corps extended north to protect the right flank of Maj. Gen. George B. McClellan's Union Army of the Potomac. Porter's objective was to deal with a Confederate force near Hanover Court House, which threatened the avenue of approach for Union reinforcements that were marching south from Fredericksburg. The smaller Confederate force, under Colonel Lawrence O'Bryan Branch, was defeated at Peake's Crossing after a disorganized fight. The Union victory was moot, however, since the Union reinforcements were recalled to Fredericksburg upon word of Maj. Gen. Nathaniel P. Banks's rout in the Shenandoah Valley at the First Battle of Winchester.

The Jefferson Davis Highway Marker is a commemorative marker on the Jefferson Davis Highway, in Hanover County, Virginia, near Ashland. It is a 42-inch-high (1.1 m) gray granite stone, with a slanted top, with two bronze plaques. The Jefferson Davis Highway was conceived and marked by the United Daughters of the Confederacy, as a counter to the Lincoln Highway in the north, during 1913–1925. In that era, named highways were being marked as automobile travel increased, and the advent of numbered highways eventually loomed. The marker was placed at the junction of what is now US Route 1 and Cedar Lane (Virginia Route 623), between Richmond and Ashland, in 1927. It has been moved twice: in the 1970s it was moved to accommodate the widening of Route 1, and it was moved across Route 1 in the 1980s.The marker is one of a number of markers studied in a National Park Service study, UDC Commemorative Highway Markers along the Jefferson Davis Highway in Virginia.

Built in 1991, Simon Property Group owned the mall until 2014 when it was split off to Washington Prime Group. In January 2017, the mall was sold again to Kohan Retail Investment Group.

Hanover County Courthouse Historic District is a national historic district located at Hanover Courthouse, Hanover County, Virginia, USA. The district includes four contributing buildings in the county seat of Hanover Courthouse. They are the separately listed Hanover County Courthouse (1735), the old jail (1835), the clerk's office (c. 1835), and the Hanover Tavern now known as the Barksdale Theatre.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Hanover County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located in the community of Hanover Courthouse, the county seat of Hanover County, Virginia. Built about 1735, it is one of the nation's oldest courthouses still in use for that purpose. It is historically notable as the site of the Parson's Cause case, which was argued by Patrick Henry in 1763. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1973. A modern courthouse complex stands nearby, which now houses most of the county's judicial functions.

It is the county seat and is located at the junction of U.S. Route 301 and State Route 54 south of the Pamunkey River. St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church in Hanover Courthouse, Virginia, United States. It was built in 1895, and is a one-story, frame building in the Late Gothic Revival style. It has a brick foundation and weatherboard siding with symmetrically placed lancet windows. The front facade features a protruding bell tower in the center with two flanking lancet windows. The church is connected at the northeast corner to an addition used for offices and classrooms, that was built in the 1930s. Another addition was built in the 1960s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Totomoi is an historic plantation in Hanover County, Virginia. The 544-acre (220 ha) property is located at 8055 Rural Point Road, near Studley. The property was, according to long-held family tradition, believed to belong to the family as early as the 17th century, but the discovery in the 21st century of family records place its purchase to 1800. The main plantation house is a brick two story building constructed in 1800 by Thomas Tinsley, one of six generations of that name. The main block is three bays wide, with a broad hall across the front and two rooms behind. Additions in 1820 and 1840 added single story ells to the east side of the house. The property includes a cluster of early 20th century farm outbuildings, and probably contains archaeological remnants of its 19th-century structures. The property, was, as of 2012, still owned by Tinsley's descendants.Totomoi was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
