The Western New York National Cemetery is a new United States National Cemetery located in the Town of Pembroke in Genesee County, approximately 30 miles (48 km) east of Buffalo and 45 miles (72 km) west of Rochester in New York. The cemetery's street address is in Corfu but the property is actually located in the town of Pembroke. It encompasses 132 acres (53 ha) and is the seventh National Cemetery operated by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs in the New York. It is expected to have room for the burial of over 96,000 veterans and be open for 70 years. The cemetery is located near exit 48A of the New York State Thruway.

Mount Pleasant is a farm complex located in the Town of Pembroke, New York, United States, east of the hamlet of Indian Falls. It was established in the mid-19th century. The main dwelling is a sophisticated Italianate style wood frame house. It and the other buildings have remained mostly intact since their construction. The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Tonawanda Indian Reservation (Seneca: Ta:nöwöde') is an Indian reservation of the Tonawanda Seneca Nation located in western New York, United States. The band is a federally recognized tribe and, in the 2010 census, had 693 people living on the reservation. The reservation lies mostly in Genesee County, extending into Erie and Niagara counties. It is bordered by the Towns of Alabama, Pembroke, Newstead, and Royalton. The Tonawanda Reservation is also known as the Tonawanda Creek Reservation. Currently, it has more than a half dozen businesses located on Bloomingdale Road within the reservation. Several sell untaxed, low-price cigarettes and gasoline. Other businesses sell Seneca craft goods, groceries, and prepared food.

Corfu ( KOR-fyoo) is a village in Genesee County, New York, United States. The population was 709 at the 2010 census. It is named after the Greek island of Corfu. The village of Corfu lies along the southern edge of the town of Pembroke; about 1.5 acres (0.6 ha) within the village limits are within the town of Darien to the south.

Akron Airport (FAA LID: 9G3) is a privately owned, public airport in Erie County, New York, a mile east of Akron, a village in the Town of Newstead.

The MotoCoaster is a motorbike roller coaster at Six Flags Darien Lake in Darien, New York. It was the park's first launch coaster, and was the first MotoCoaster by Zamperla to be installed in the United States, though the Pony Express, a similar type of coaster with horse themed trains, was constructed around the same time and is currently operating at Knott's Berry Farm. The coaster installed at Darien Lake is actually the prototype coaster that was used for tuning and testing at Zamperla's factory in Italy. The coaster was originally named the Orange County Choppers Motocoaster (OCC Motocoaster) when it first opened in 2008. Darien Lake partnered with the Orange County Choppers for naming rights for the coaster, along with a promotional giveaway of a custom painted OCC motorcycle, and a custom built bike to remain at the park. After the naming rights with Orange County Choppers expired, the name was changed to the MotoCoaster in 2010.

Tantrum is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Darien Lake in Darien, New York, United States. It is a Euro-Fighter roller coaster manufactured by German manufacturer Gerstlauer and opened on May 25, 2018. Tantrum features a maximum height of 98.4-foot (30.0 m), with a maximum speed of 35 miles per hour (56 km/h) and a total track length of 1,246.7 feet (380.0 m). With a drop angle of 97 degrees, it was the first roller coaster in the state of New York to feature a beyond-vertical drop and the park's first new roller coaster since 2008.

Predator is a wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Darien Lake. It was designed by Curtis D. Summers and built by Dinn Corporation and opened on May 25, 1990.
