St Boniface's Catholic College is a secondary school for boys, under the direction and trustees of the Roman Catholic Community in the Plymouth area in the South West of England. Founded in 1856 as an independent boarding and day school for "young Catholic gentlemen" in the West Country, it is now a comprehensive school. The College is named for St Boniface who was born in Crediton, Devon and is the patron saint of Germany. The school has a list of distinguished former pupils including Air Chief Marshal Sir John Gingell GBE KCB KCVO, the writer and intelligence agent Alexander Wilson, and Sir Julian Priestley KCMG, Secretary General of the European Parliament from 1997 to 2007. The College is a five-form entry college of 528 students between the ages of 11 and 18, taught by a full-time staff of 24. Its main campus is at Manadon Park with sports facilities at Marsh Mills. Its sister school is Notre Dame Catholic School. It is colloquially known as "Bonnies" or abbreviated as SBCC. The school is situated on the west side of the A386, north of the A38 interchange – between the A38 and the B3413.

It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election and has been represented since 2015 by Johnny Mercer of the Conservative Party.The seat was created for the 2010 general election and is largely the successor to the former Plymouth Devonport constituency.

Manadon is a predominantly post-war suburb of Plymouth in the English county of Devon.Roughly geographically situated in the centre of the city, it has a primary school, St Boniface's Catholic College (secondary comprehensive), a sports and community hub, two neighbourhood grocers (one with a post office) and is home to the Manadon interchange, on the A38 road Parkway. It is also home to Plymouth Parkway F.C., a Southern Football League football club based at Bolitho Park, and The Church of the Ascension situated in The Lawns. Most of the housing stock in the area was built during the post-war period as part of Plymouth's expansion after the Second World War, with the estate bordered between Honicknowle Lane to the west and St Peter's Road to the east. A second estate, Brake Farm, was built in the early 1970s and comprises several flat-roof houses and bungalow units. The Chaucer Way Primary School closed in 2009 due to dwindling numbers, leaving Manadon Vale as the sole primary school in the area. The demolition of the school and subsequent clearance of the site brought about the construction of affordable housing, named Poets Corner in recognition of the names of the neighbouring streets such as Chaucer Way, Byron Avenue and Sheridan Road. Manadon Park, a development of varying housing types is built on the former site of the RNEC Manadon (HMS Thunderer), the Royal Navy's former Engineering College. The area retains Manadon House, the old Manor House and former chapel from its naval service. An enclosed nature reserve has been developed towards the eastern quarter of Manadon Park estate but is not open to the public. Other green spaces include Sheridan Park, Manadon Woods and Bladder Meadow (partially situated in neighbouring Crownhill), all accessible to the public. There is no notable shopping district, although Honicknowle offers up a large retail park (Transit Way), situated at the northern edge of Brake Farm and bordered by the Ham Brook tributary and including a Tesco, Argos (retailer), Lidl and Matalan among others. It can be accessed on foot via Shakespeare Road in Brake Farm or by road via Crownhill Road. Public transport is provided by Plymouth Citybus in the form of services 60 and 61 and serves the western half of Manadon.

Crownhill is an area of northern Plymouth, in the county of Devon, England.

Crownhill Fort is a Royal Commission Fort built in the 1860s in Crownhill as part of Lord Palmerston's ring of land defences for Plymouth. Restored by the Landmark Trust, it is now home to several small businesses, museums, exhibitions and a holiday apartment sleeping up to eight people. The Fort is open to the public on the last Friday of each month and hosts tours for local schools and societies at other times.

Bolitho Park is a football stadium in Plymouth, England, which is the home of Plymouth Parkway, of The Southern League Premier Division South. It currently has a capacity of 3,500, 250 seated. For the 2021–22 season, it was also the home of Truro City, of The National League South.The site shares an entrance point with the Manadon Sports Hub, home of Plymouth Argyle L.F.C.

Plymouth Parkway Football Club is a football club based in Plymouth, Devon, England. They are currently members of the Southern League Premier Division South and play at Bolitho Park.

Truro City Football Club (Cornish: Klub Peldroes Truru) is an English football club based in Truro, Cornwall. They compete in the National League South, at the sixth tier of the English football league system. They are the highest ranked club from Cornwall. The club had previously played in what was known as the Conference South in 2011, following five promotions in six seasons. They were relegated at the end of the 2012–13 season after going into administration, but returned to that level, now known as the National League South, in 2015, before being relegated back to the Southern League in 2019. They were founding members of the South Western League in 1951 and won the title five times in their history. Apart from a three-season spell in the 1970s, when they played in the Cornwall Combination after losing their ground as part of a by-pass development, they remained in the South Western League until 2006, when they joined the Western Football League, achieving promotion from Division One to the Premier Division in their first season. Truro were FA Cup regulars throughout the 1950s, but subsequently they were sporadic entrants until a permanent return to the competition in the 2006–07 season, their first appearance in 13 years, then in 2017 they reached the first round for the first time in their history losing away to Charlton Athletic. They won the FA Vase in 2006–07.

Eggbuckland Community College is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Eggbuckland area of Plymouth, Devon, England. The school converted to academy status on 1 September 2013.

Hartley is a suburb of Plymouth in the county of Devon, England. It is built on higher ground offering views south towards the sea, east into the South Hams, north over Dartmoor and west to Cornwall. It is bisected by the Tavistock Road which also provides ready access to Mutley and the City centre to the south and more immediate access to the A38 Plymouth Parkway, part of the Devon Expressway linking near Exeter to the motorway network. Hartley has a nonconformist church, a large branch of Morrisons and is home to Plymouth Croquet Club to the side of Hartley Park and the small independent and Christian King's School. The former Plymouth Workhouse on the junction of Tor Lane and Tavistock Road has been demolished and rebuilt as a gated retirement community. There are some substantial Victorian villas mostly bordering the Tavistock Road, but much of the development particularly of the Venn Estate occurred just before the Second War. The main entertainment in the area is the Golden Hind pub located at Manadon Roundabout.
