The South Australian School of Design was an art school in the earliest days of the City of Adelaide, the progenitor of the South Australian School of Arts, a department of the University of South Australia.

City Sk8 Park was a skate-boarding facility situated in Park 27 of the Adelaide Park Lands on North Terrace, in Adelaide, South Australia. It was located next to the railway tracks and the Morphett Street Bridge. Skaters could use the facility day and night as the park was equipped with lighting and camera surveillance. The Park had sheltered seating and featured a range of vertical drops, half bowls, steps, blocks, ramps and slopes. The facility was highly visible to passers-by, helping to ensure the safety of skaters. Dogs on leads were allowed, but not in the skate park itself for their own safety. This facility was demolished during late 2015, despite a local campaign to save it, in preparation for the relocation of Adelaide's Bio-medical precinct from the east end to the west end of North Terrace.

ACE Open is a contemporary visual art organisation based in Adelaide, South Australia, established in 2017 after the Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia and the Australian Experimental Art Foundation (AEAF) were merged, creating a new organisation.

SAHMRI (South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute) is an independent, not-for-profit health and medical research institute in Adelaide, South Australia. The institute is housed in a purpose-built eponymous building with its iconic "cheesegrater" design created by architects Woods Bagot. SAHMRI is located adjacent to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in the heart of Adelaide BioMed City - South Australia's health and biomedical precinct on North Terrace. The institute is composed of approximately 700 researchers, many of whom have links to, and work collaboratively with, universities and other research institutes in Australia and overseas. The institute was officially incorporated in December 2009, and opened in its current location on 29 November 2013. A second building (SAHMRI 2) is under construction as of July 2020, and will house the Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy & Research after its completion.

Morphett Street is a main street in the west of the city centre of Adelaide, South Australia, parallel to King William Street and numbered from north to south. At its northern end it is part of the West End of Adelaide, a thriving cultural and entertainment precinct, with the Lion Arts Centre on the south-western corner of its junction with North Terrace.

The Adelaide Remand Centre is a maximum-security prison facility located in Adelaide, South Australia, used to hold prisoners on remand pending trial. It is located in Currie Street in the Adelaide central business district. As of July 2020 it has a capacity of 274 prisoners in a high-security facility, and is privately managed by Serco.

The Adelaide College of the Arts, also known as AC Arts and formerly known as Adelaide Centre for the Arts, is a campus of TAFE South Australia that specialises in performing arts education. It is located on Light Square, Adelaide, and is part of TAFE SA. Trinity Church (also known as Holy Trinity Church Adelaide, is an Australian evangelical Anglican church located at 88 North Terrace in the city of Adelaide, South Australia. Trinity Church has five gatherings at the North Terrace location each Sunday, as well as various other meetings throughout the week.

Riverside Rowing Club Incorporated (RRC) is a non profit association located in South Australia. RRC has a strong Masters Rowing focus (27 years and over) and actively supports senior and school rowing. RRC competitive rowers race in local Rowing SA regattas, Rowing Australia Regattas, and World Masters Games. and International Rowing Federation(FISA) regattas held around the globe. Annually a number of crews compete in Head Races including the Head of the Yarra in Melbourne Victoria. The club's membership includes recreational (non-competitive) rowers and regularly holds "Learn to Row" programs throughout the year.

Mercury CX, formerly Media Resource Centre (MRC), is a not-for-profit film and television training organisation based in the Lion Arts Centre on the corner of Morphett Street and North Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia, which aims to give screening opportunities to emerging South Australian film, video and digital media artists. It also manages the not-for-profit Mercury Cinema, which shows films by subscription to the Adelaide Cinémathèque film society, screening classic or notable films and hosts film festivals and other events. Mercury CX hosts the Screenmakers Conference and the South Australian Screen Awards.

Hindley Street is located in the north-west quarter of the centre of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. It runs between King William Street and West Terrace. The street was named after Charles Hindley, a British parliamentarian and social reformist. The street was one of the first built in Adelaide and is thus of historical significance. The first newspaper in South Australia was printed in premises on Hindley Street. As well as housing the first meeting of Adelaide City Council, the oldest municipal body in Australia, Hindley Street was home to the first stone church in South Australia and the West End Brewery between 1859 and 1980. The street later became known for its atmosphere and active nightlife, including a somewhat seedy reputation, until in the 21st century it reinvented itself as a more upmarket precinct, dubbed the West End.

The Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science is a marketing research institute within the School of Marketing at the University of South Australia in Adelaide, Australia. It is an independent, not-for-profit institute. Previously named the Marketing Science Centre, it was elevated to institute status in 2005 after recognition of over a decade of achievements. It is the first university institute devoted to marketing science. To signal the Institute's research philosophy it was renamed after two marketing academics, Professor Andrew Ehrenberg and Professor Frank Bass. Both Ehrenberg and Bass have championed the development of simple generalised laws that can be described mathematically and can be widely applied.The Institute aims to uncover law-like patterns and relationships and build empirically grounded theory to explain and predict buyer behaviour and brand performance.The Institute Director is Professor Byron Sharp and it is governed by three Advisory Boards that meet annually to discuss research directions and key priorities. These are held in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
