The Greenwich Township School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Greenwich Township, in Warren County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 686 students and 67.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Public school students in ninth through twelfth grades attend Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, which serves students from the Town of Phillipsburg as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Phillipsburg School District. The high school also serves students from four other sending communities: Alpha, Bloomsbury (in Hunterdon County), Lopatcong Township and Pohatcong Township. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 2,324 students and 197.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1.In 2016, the Bloomsbury School District announced that it was pursuing a $30,000 study to consider merger / consolidation with the Greenwich Township School District, citing the "financial instability" the Bloomsbury district faces based on the way the Phillipsburg district calculates the costs for students sent for high school. The notice to residents announcing the feasibility study stated that the Greenwich district was chosen based on the quality of its academic programs, shared superintendent and business administrator, proximity, financial stability and shared sending relationship with Phillipsburg for high school.

St. James Lutheran Church, also known as Straw Church, is a historic church built in 1834 and located at 1213 U.S. Route 22 in Pohatcong Township, Warren County, New Jersey. St. James Lutheran Cemetery is located across the street in Greenwich Township. The church and cemetery were added as a historic district to the National Register of Historic Places on October 24, 2016 for their significance in architecture and exploration/settlement. The adjoining building, Fellowship Hall, and the schoolhouse by the cemetery entrance are not part of this listing. The one-room brick schoolhouse, built 1858, is listed separately on the state register.

Greenwich Township () is a township in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 5,473, a decrease of 239 (−4.2%) from the 2010 census count of 5,712, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,347 (+30.9%) from the 4,365 counted in the 2000 census.Greenwich Township has at various times been a part of most of Northwestern New Jersey's counties. The township was first mentioned in official documents on October 9, 1738, as a part of Hunterdon County. On March 15, 1739, it became part of the newly formed Morris County. On January 22, 1750, portions of the township were taken to form Hardwick Township. On June 8, 1753, Sussex County was created, and Greenwich Township was shifted again. Portions of the township were taken on May 30, 1754, to form both Mansfield Township and Oxford Township. The township was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798. It found its current home when Warren County was formed on November 20, 1824. On April 8, 1839, portions of the township were taken to create Franklin Township and Harmony Township. On March 7, 1851, Phillipsburg was created from parts of Greenwich, and Pohatcong Township went off on its own as of January 1, 1882. The township was named for Greenwich, England.

Lopatcong Overlook is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Lopatcong Township, in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was created as part of the 2010 United States Census. As of the 2010 Census, Lopatcong Overlook's population was 734.

Phillipsburg Mall was an indoor shopping mall located along U.S. Route 22 in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. Despite its name, the mall was actually located on the border of Lopatcong Township and Pohatcong Township, just east of Phillipsburg. The mall was located on the eastern edge of the Lehigh Valley, the metropolitan area of Allentown, Pennsylvania. The mall's anchor store was Kohl's. There were 3 other anchor stores that were once The Bon-Ton, Sears, and Black Rose Antiques & Collectibles. As of February 2021, the mall is scheduled to be demolished in the near future.

The three-story, 330,000-square-foot (31,000 m2) building, with more than double the floor space of the existing high school and a capacity to accommodate more than 2,100 students, was completed for the 2016–17 school year and was dedicated in September 2016 at ceremonies attended by Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie. As of the 2021–22 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 1,809 students and 133.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.6:1.

Upper Pohatcong is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Pohatcong Township in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was defined as part of the 2010 United States Census. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 1,781.

Stewartsville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Greenwich Township in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was created as part of the 2010 United States Census. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 349.The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08886.The community of Stewartsville was named after Thomas Stewart, a secretary to George Washington, who purchased property in the area in 1793.

The Hixson–Skinner Mill Complex, also known as Cole's Grist Mill Complex, encompasses a historic grist mill and two houses located where Still Valley Road crosses the Pohatcong Creek, about one half mile east of Springtown, in Pohatcong Township, Warren County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 2, 1982 for its significance in commerce and industry. It includes 4 contributing buildings and 2 contributing structures.

The Kennedy House and Mill are historic buildings located at 306 NJ 173 near Pohatcong Creek in Greenwich Township, Warren County, New Jersey. They were added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 16, 1996 for their significance in architecture, politics/government and industry. The area of Stewartsville, New Jersey is also called Kennedy Mills.The two-story Kennedy House was built c. 1815–1825 of coursed rubble stone construction in a Federal architecture style. The two and one-half story gristmill, located along the Pohatcong Creek, is also of rubble stone construction.

Alpha is a borough in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 2,328, a decrease of 41 (−1.7%) from the 2010 census count of 2,369, which in turn reflected a decline of 113 (−4.6%) from the 2,482 counted in the 2000 census.Alpha was incorporated as a borough from portions of Pohatcong Township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature passed on June 26, 1911, and signed by Governor Woodrow Wilson, based on the results of a referendum held on May 31, 1911. The borough was named for the Alpha Cement Works.
