The Affandi Museum is a museum located in Yogyakarta on Java, Indonesia. On the bank of the Gajah Wong River on Laksda Adisucipto Street number 167, in 1953 the painter Affandi designed and constructed a home for himself which also functions as a museum to display his paintings, inaugurated on 15 December 1973. His house complex is consist of his private house on stilts, a gallery with his retrospective works, a gifted gallery from the former president Soeharto in which exhibit his sketches and archives of his voyages throughout india, Europe, NorthAmerica and SouthAmerica, a three level Building consists of a family and publicly open for rent gallery, a restoration studios, and a basement storage, a semi-open space for public area and a painting Studio for visitors. All the buildings is uniquely constructed, with a roof that resembles a banana leaf. The museum has around 250 of Affandi's paintings. The high air humidity and temperature are causing concerns about the condition of the paintings. The Affandi Foundation, which manages the museum, finds it difficult to manage the museum properly, due to a lack of funds and revenue.Before dying, Affandi spent a lot of time sitting around in his own museum, observing his paintings. He said once, “I want to die in simplicity without giving anyone unnecessary trouble, so I could go home to Him in peace.” After suffering a complication of illnesses, on Wednesday, the May 23, 1990, Affandi died. He is now buried in the museum complex, as he wished to always be surrounded by his family and his works.

After BATAN dissolution, the polytechnics inherited by BRIN. It officially renamed as Politeknik Teknologi Nuklir (Poltek TN) on 30 October 2021. Since its foundation in 1985, the polytechnic had graduated more than its 1300 graduates, which many of its graduates absorbed into BATAN and BAPETEN (mostly), with few of its graduates went to academia, health institutions, industries, and other private sectors and entrepreneurs.It is one among a few of nuclear higher education institutions in Indonesia. Currently, Indonesia only had 4 places for nuclear higher education in Indonesia: Poltek TN, Gadjah Mada University, Bandung Institute of Technology, and State Intelligence College.

Dirgantara Mandala Museum, officially known as the Central Museum of Indonesian Air Force "Dirgantara Mandala" is a central museum of the Indonesian Air Force. The museum displays historical exhibits related to the history of the Indonesian Air Force. The museum is located in the complex of Adisutjipto International Airport in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Dirgantara Mandala Museum has a comprehensive collection of aviation in Indonesia, from early biplanes to modern jet engines.

Garuda Indonesia Flight 200 (GA200/GIA 200) was a scheduled domestic passenger flight of a Boeing 737-400 operated by Garuda Indonesia between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The aircraft overran the runway, crashed into a rice field and burst into flames while landing at Adisucipto International Airport on 7 March 2007. Twenty passengers and one flight attendant were killed.: 7  Both the captain and first officer survived, and were fired shortly after the accident occurred. It was the fifth hull-loss of a Boeing 737 in Indonesia within less than six months.

Mandala Krida Stadium (Stadion Mandala Krida) is a football stadium located in Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. The stadium is surrounded by three roads, namely east is the Gondosuli Road, south is Kenari Road, and west is the Andung Road. Gembira Loka Zoo was opened in 1956 and comprises a botanical garden, orchid nursery, artificial lake, children's park, numerous bridges across the Gajahwong River, and a collection of approximately 470 animals, most notable of which are its Komodo dragons, orangutans, gibbons, and hippopotamus.
