Ojén (population 5.045) is a town and municipality that sits in the mountains behind Marbella in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. Nearby cities include Mijas to the east, Marbella to the south, Istán to the west, and Monda and Coín to the north.

Cortijo de Miraflores is a historical building in the Pilar Miraflores neighborhood of Marbella, Spain. It originated in the cortijo built in 1706 by Tomás Francisco Domínguez y Godoy on the ruins of a former farming estate. the building houses a number of decorative elements, probably from earlier buildings, such as medallions.

Istán is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga in Andalusia in southern Spain with an estimated population in 2005 of 1400 people. It lies beneath the Sierra Blanca in the valley of the Rio Verde about 15 km to the northwest from Marbella and the Mediterranean coast. It is situated on the southern slope of the Sierra de las Nieves. It is also near the large reservoir created by the Presa de la Concepción dam, built in 1972 to provide drinking water to towns all along the Costa del Sol.

Marbella (UK: mar-BAY-yə, US: mar-BEL-ə, Spanish: [maɾˈβeʎa]) is a city and municipality in southern Spain, belonging to the province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is part of the Costa del Sol and is the headquarters of the Association of Municipalities of the region; it is also the head of the judicial district that bears its name. Marbella is situated on the Mediterranean Sea, between Málaga and the Strait of Gibraltar, in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca. The municipality covers an area of 117 square kilometres (45 sq mi) crossed by highways on the coast, which are its main entrances. In 2018, the population of the city was 141,463 inhabitants, making it the second most populous municipality in the province of Málaga and the seventh in Andalusia. It is one of the most important tourist cities of the Costa del Sol and throughout most of the year is an international tourist attraction, due mainly to its climate and tourist infrastructure. The city also has a significant archaeological heritage, several museums and performance spaces, and a cultural calendar with events ranging from reggae concerts to opera performances.

The 1973 World Cup took place 22–25 November at the Club de Golf Nueva Andalucía in Marbella, Spain. The name of the club was later changed to Real Club de Golf Las Brisas. It was the 21st World Cup event. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 49 teams. Each team consisted of two players from a country. Team Czechoslovakia of Jiri Dvorak and Jaromir Fuchs were notified, but withdraw from the tournament before it began. Also before the tournament begun, notable player withdrawals were Peter Thomson, selected to the Australian team, replaced by Errol Hardvigsen, Peter Oosterhuis, selected to the English team, replaced by Peter Wilcock, Terry Kendall, selected to the New Zealand team, replaced by Simon Owen and Brian Huggett, selected to the Welsh team, replaced by David Vaughan. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The United States team of Johnny Miller and Jack Nicklaus won by six strokes over the South Africa team of Hugh Baiocchi and Gary Player. This was the 12th team victory for United States, six of them with Jack Nicklaus on the team, in the event, formerly named Canada Cup, since its inception in 1953. The individual competition for the International Trophy, was won by Miller, three strokes ahead of Player.

The 1989 World Cup took place 16–19 November at Las Brisas Golf Club in Marbella, Spain. It was the 35th World Cup event. The tournament was shortened, due to rain, from 72 to 36 holes. Both the second round on Friday and the fourth round on Sunday were cancelled and only the Thursday and Saturday rounds were counted in the competition. The World Cup, previously named the Canada Cup, had been shortened before, due to bad weather; 1963, 1972 and 1984, but it was the first time since the event was instituted in 1953, that two full rounds were lost. It was a stroke play team event with 32 teams. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The Australia team of Peter Fowler and Wayne Grady won by three strokes over the Spain team of José María Cañizares and José María Olazábal. The individual competition was won by Fowler. Beside the prize money mentioned, Fowler won additional US$10,000 for having the lowest individual score in the first round and the Australia team won additional US$10,000 for the lowest team score the first day.

The British International School of Marbella (BISM) is an international school located in the Spanish city of Marbella. The school was opened in 2010 and is part of the British Schools Foundation (BSF). BISM follows the English National Curriculum and provides education for children in Early Years, Primary School and Secondary School.

Costa del Sol Occidental (English: "Western Coast of the Sun") is a comarca (county) in Andalusia, southern Spain. It occupies a narrow coastal strip delimited by the cordillera Penibética (Sierra de Mijas, Sierra Alpujata, Sierra Blanca, Sierra Bermeja, Sierra Crestallina) to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The coast shows a diversity of landscapes: beaches, cliffs, estuaries, bays and dunes. The rivers are short and seasonal, while the agriculture is hampered by the lee effect caused by the Baetic System.

The Muralla urbana is a fort in Marbella, southern Spain. It was built in the 10th century, and contained the old Arab medina, which today corresponds to the old part of the city. The fort was accessible through three entrances: the Puerta de Ronda, the Puerta de Málaga and the Puerta del Mar, and was composed of at least 20 towers. Currently, there are remains of the fort, though part of the wall has been restored.

The Casa Consistorial De Marbella is a historic building in the city of Marbella, southern Spain, currently housing the city's town hall. Constructed in 1568 in the Renaissance style, it lies in the Plaza de los Naranjos in the city's historic district. The building's exterior includes a sundial and coat of arms, as well as memorial plaques written in Old Spanish to commemorate the conquest of the city in 1485 by Ferdinand and Isabella, the establishment of the city's water supply in 1632, and additions to the building in 1779.

The Casa del Corregidor is a building located in the town of Marbella, southern Spain. It was built in 1552, with a stone facade emblazoned with a balcony backed by three arches, combining Gothic and Renaissance elements. The Moorish-style ceiling contains fresco murals.

Estadio Municipal Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas is a stadium in Marbella, Spain. It is primarily used for football. Spanish football team Marbella FC holding home matches at this stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 7,300 people. It is a venue for the Marbella Cup and Football Impact Cup, an annual friendly football tournaments. Queen performed here on 5 August 1986 during their Magic Tour. This was their penultimate live show with Freddie Mercury. Exactly two years later, Michael Jackson performed in front of 28,000 during his Bad World Tour. In July 1990, Prince performed here on his Nude Tour.
