Old Pathology Building Melbourne University

The Ian Potter Museum of Art at the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia was established in 1972. It houses the art collection of the University of Melbourne. Current director, Kelly Gellatly, was appointed in 2013. It is not to be confused with the Ian Potter Centre, another art gallery in Melbourne, run by the National Gallery of Victoria The Potter, as it is known locally, presents a curated exhibition program of historical and contemporary art. Through its activities the Potter provides for the acquisition, maintenance, conservation, cataloguing, exhibition, investigation, interpretation and promotion of the extensive art collections of the University of Melbourne. The current building opened in 1998 and was designed by the architect Nonda Katsalidis of Katsalidis Architects. The architect project team included Bill Krotiris, Adrian Amore, Lisette Agius, Donna Brzezinski, Keiran Boyle, Kei Lu Cheong, Luisa Di Gregorio, Holger Frese, Chris Godsell, Robert Kolak, Barbara Moje, Rainer Strunz, Marius Vogl, Jackie Wagner.

The George Paton Gallery is the first institutionally supported experimental art space in Australia. Established in 1975 as the Ewing and George Paton Gallery, it is run by the University of Melbourne Student Union, on the University of Melbourne Parkville Campus. In 2022, the gallery relocated from its longstanding space at Union House building to the purpose-built Arts and Cultural Building.

The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) was established in 2002 in response to a need for collaboration in the mathematical sciences to strengthen mathematics and statistics especially in the universities. The Fields Institute and the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences have influenced AMSI's structure and operations. AMSI has a membership that includes most Australian universities, CSIRO, Australian Bureau of Statistics, Bureau of Meteorology and Defence Science and Technology Organisation. AMSI is located at Monash University.

The Chemistry Building is a university teaching facility used by the University's School of Chemistry, located at Masson Road, The University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The building was designed by Percy Edgar Everett, who at the time was employed by the Victorian Public Works Department. It was built in 1938 at a time of major expansion at the University through the 1920s and 1930s. The building is best described as a modernist, inter-war, gothic architecture, and due to this it has been deemed to be of state historical and architectural significance on the National Trust register.

St Mary's College is a medium-sized Roman Catholic co-educational residential college affiliated with the University of Melbourne. Founded in 1918, St Mary's was the first Roman Catholic residential college for women at an Australian university. From its humble origins of just ten students, the college is today home to approximately 160 undergraduate and several postgraduate students during the university year.

Asia Education Foundation (AEF) is a joint activity of Asialink to promote Asian literacy within Australian schools. AEF strives for Asian literacy not only in language, but knowledge in geography, history, literature, mathematics, science and culture. Together with Asialink, AEF offers a multitude of programs for educators and principals to travel to the Asia, thereby expanding their knowledge in the region. In recent years, the AEF formed the Business Alliance for Asia Literacy and Education Alliance for Asia Literacy. Both are composed of major corporations, peak bodies, as well as education and community organisations. These alliances seek to shift the Australian school curriculum with a greater focus on the Asian region. A major program by AEF is the Asia Literacy Ambassadors project, which partners professional business leaders with secondary schools. By sharing their stories, these skilled professionals educate students about the larger scope of employment opportunities available to Asia engaged individuals.

The Baldwin Spencer Building, also called Building 113, is a university teaching facility that serves as a student service centre, located at 152-292 Grattan Street, The University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Built between 1887 and 1888, the building was initially called the Biology Building. In 1920 the School of Biology was renamed the School of Zoology and the building was renamed in honour of Walter Baldwin Spencer, the University's first Professor of Biology. Spencer submitted designs for the building that were finalised by architects, Joseph Reed, Anketell Henderson and Francis Smart who formed a partnership known as Reed Henderson and Smart. The building is completed in the Gothic Revival architectural style with distinctive elements such as rough-hewn freestone coursed walls that can be compared with similar designs by the same architects for nearby buildings such as Ormond College and the earlier Old Pathology Building. The Baldwin Spence Building was listed on the Victorian Heritage Register on 24 June 1992.

The Melbourne University tram stop is a major terminating point and stop of the Melbourne tram system. It features a single island platform and three shunts. It is located on Swanston Street, Carlton, and is the major tram stop for the University of Melbourne, its namesake. It opened in 2005, and is one of the busiest stops on the network; six tram lines terminate at it, while two run through.

The Frank Tate Building, also known as Building 189, is a student centre of The University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Designed by Percy Edgar Everett, it was built between 1939 and 1940 as an expansion of the Melbourne Teachers' College, housed in the '1888 Building' to the south. In 1994 the Melbourne Teachers' College relocated and the building became part of the main Melbourne University Parkville Campus. In 2010 it was refurbished as a learning centre by COX Architects, designed to allow a multitude of different user groups to configure the space according to their individual requirements.

Robogals is an international student-run organisation that aims to inspire, engage and empower young women to consider studying engineering and related fields. Its primary activity is interactive, engineering based workshops for girls aged between 8-18 (depending on location). Robogals has chapters at 31 universities across Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Kenya, South Africa, New Zealand, Indonesia and the Philippines. These chapters fall into three regions - Robogals Asia Pacific, Robogals EMEA (Europe, Middle East, & Africa), and Robogals North America.Robogals also run a range of other activities around this central theme. Past events have included a robotics competition (2008), a mass robot dance that attracted significant media coverage (2009), a robot artwork exhibition, science fair (2010), the Robogals Science Challenge (2012-) and the Robogals Challenge in the UK (2015-). The organisation is predominately run by university student volunteers, including at the global headquarters in Melbourne, Australia with the Leadership Team of Robogals based around the world. Robogals' achievements have been recognised on an international level with the awarding of an Anita Borg Change Agent Award by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology. Robogals founder Marita Cheng was named the 2012 Young Australian of the Year.

The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) is based in Carlton, just north of Melbourne's CBD, and provides general, specialist and emergency dental care to all eligible Victorians. It is also a teaching hospital, which means patients may be treated by a variety of dental professionals, students, specialists in training, or other qualified staff.

The Melbourne Dental School is one of the graduate schools of the University of Melbourne. In addition to the 4-year graduate dental program the Doctor of Dental Surgery, the school offers speciality training programs combined with the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry degree, advanced training programs, and research degrees including M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs. According to the QS World Rankings, it is the highest ranking dental school in Australia and often ranks among the top 25 in the world.Professor Alastair J Sloan has been Head of the Melbourne Dental School since January 2020.
