Pioneertown is an unincorporated community of the Morongo Basin region of the High Desert in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is an 1880s-themed town developed as a shooting location for actors working on Western films and TV series with businesses and residences. The Mane Street Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The winding, 4-mile (6.4 km) drive northwest to Pioneertown from Yucca Valley has been designated a California Scenic Drive and the area is now surrounded by privately and federally protected lands.

The Burns Piñon Ridge Reserve is a 303-acre (123 ha) nature reserve that is part of the University of California Natural Reserve System. It is located near Yucca Valley, California in San Bernardino County, California. Administered by UC Irvine, the reserve is owned by the University of California and managed for teaching and research.Reserve lands form a transition zone, or ecotone, between the high-elevation ecosystems of the San Bernardino Mountains and the lower, hotter Mojave Desert.

Pioneertown Mountains Preserve is a Wildlands Conservancy nature preserve consisting of 25,500 acres (103 km2) of land in San Bernardino County, California. It features geologically interesting mountain ranges and riparian zones. It is located in the Mojave Desert in the eastern San Bernardino Mountains.

Desert Christ Park is a 3.5-acre (14,000 m2) sculpture garden in Yucca Valley, California. The park was sculpted and created by Antone Martin, a former aircraft worker who died in 1961 at the age of 74. Martin started sculpting the figures out of steel-reinforced concrete during the height of the Cold War atomic bomb scare of the mid-1940s, hoping that the sculptures would inspire global peace. Sculptures include The Twelve Apostles, Martha, Mary, angels, and a 15-foot-tall, 3 ton statue of Jesus, reminiscent of Rio de Janeiro's famous and much larger hilltop Christ the Redeemer. The park was neglected between 1988 and 1996, while the ACLU sued San Bernardino County for separation of church and state issues, after which a nonprofit foundation took over and renovated the park.

Our Lady of the Desert School (OLDS) is a coeducational private school combination Elementary, Middle School and High school located in Yucca Valley, San Bernardino County, California, USA. It was founded in 1983, and owns its own facility, which includes a 280-occupancy chapel and tennis courts, on 5 acres (20,000 m2) of land. The school is orthodox Catholic in curriculum and administration. It is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino. Currently, OLDS has 12 students and 3 teachers, with additional administration and support staff. This gives it a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio; the California average is 16. The Principal is Daniel Foran.It describes its primary purpose as preparing students for the challenges they will face in this life so to get to heaven with education as a means to that end. There is also a 15-bed assisted living facility located on the adjoining property.

Yucca Valley is an incorporated town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 20,700 as of the 2010 census. Yucca Valley lies 20 miles (32 km) north of Palm Springs, and 103 miles (166 km) east of Los Angeles. Bordered to the south by the Joshua Tree National Park and to the west by the San Bernardino Mountains, the town of Yucca Valley is located in the Mojave Desert at roughly 3,300 feet (1,000 m) above sea level.

The station was owned by Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel.KJSM-LP's license was returned to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by the licensee on August 5, 2013, and its license was cancelled by the FCC on August 6, 2013.

Morongo Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) on State Route 62 in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 3,552 at the 2010 census, up from 1,929 at the 2000 census. The town is bordered by Yucca Valley, California.

Landers is an unincorporated community in the High Desert region of the Mojave Desert, in San Bernardino County, California. Landers' population, as of 2017, is 2,982 people. Its residents are sometimes referred to as "Landroids"—an allusion to the popular UFO culture in the area—and its official slogan is "Beautiful Skies, Miles of Smiles," adopted pursuant to a contest held by the Landers Association in early 2014. It was submitted by Ms. McCall's 3rd and 4th grade class at Landers Elementary School and was unveiled on June 10, 2014. However, for almost half a century, Landers has been known to its residents as "the land of 1000 vistas".

The Bartlett Mountains are a mountain range in San Bernardino County, California. The range lies just northwest of Joshua Tree.
