Mount Pleasant is an unincorporated community located largely in St. George's Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Mount Pleasant is located at the intersection of Delaware routes 71 and 896, north of Middletown. The A. Eliason House, north of town, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A. Eliason House is a historic home located at Mt. Pleasant, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1850, and is a three-story, five-bay, brick dwelling with a shallow hipped roof. It has a center passage plan and features two one-story, tetra-style porches. Also on the property are a contributing two-story brick combination carriage house and storage loft, an earthfast cartshed, a braced frame granary containing corn cribs, and a brick stable.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

MOT Charter School is a charter school in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It was established in 2002 and operates on two campuses. The K-8 Academy is in the city limits of Middletown, while the high school is in an unincorporated area outside of the Middletown city limits, though it has a Middletown postal address.MOT means "Middletown, Odessa, and Townsend".

Achmester was a historic home and national historic district located near Middletown, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompassed four contributing buildings and two contributing structures. Achmester was built in 1829, and was a 1+1⁄2-story, single pile "Peach Mansion." It consisted of a five bay frame main block with a five bay gable end addition, and five bay rear service ell. It had a gable roof with dormers and sat on a stone foundation. The façade featured simple box cornices and dormers decorated at a later date with Gothic Revival sawnwork trim, pendents, and vergeboards. The contributing outbuildings consist of a cow barn, shed, milk house, granary, and smokehouse. It was built by Richard Mansfield, a founder of Middletown Academy.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was demolished in 2022.

It hosts a multi-week Women in Aviation and Law Enforcement Seminar sponsored by the Delaware State Police.The airport has hosted training missions for medivac helicopter crews. It is also a maintenance base for military Chinook helicopters.The airport has been a source of controversy for storing an ATR 42 purchased to serve in drug enforcement efforts in Afghanistan. The plane is unairworthy and unable to fly, and it thus is taking up space and rent.
