Dawayao station

Wulidian Subdistrict (Chinese: 五里店街道; pinyin: Wǔlǐdiàn Jiēdào) is a subdistrict located on the north side of Fengtai District, Beijing, China. It shares border with Lugouqiao Subdistrict to the northwest, Liuliqiao and Fengtai Subdistricts to the east, Kandan and Wanping Subdistricts to the south. The subdistrict was created from parts of Fengtai Subdistrict, Lugouqiao Subdistrict and Liuliqiao Subdistrict in 2021.

Hongtaizhuang station (Chinese: 洪泰庄站; pinyin: Hóngtàizhuāng zhàn) is a station on Line 16 of the Beijing Subway. It opened on 30 December 2023.

Guozhuangzi (simplified Chinese: 郭庄子站; traditional Chinese: 郭莊子站; pinyin: Guōzhuāngzǐ Zhàn) is a station on Line 14 of the Beijing Subway. This station opened on May 5, 2013.

The Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (simplified Chinese: 中国人民抗日战争纪念馆; traditional Chinese: 中國人民抗日戰爭紀念館; pinyin: Zhōngguó Rénmín Kàngrì Zhànzhēng Jìniànguǎn) or Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall is a museum and memorial hall in Beijing. It is the most comprehensive museum in China about the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Second Sino-Japanese War was a military conflict fought primarily between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan from 7 July 1937 to 9 September 1945. It began with the Marco Polo Bridge Incident in 1937 in which a dispute between Japanese and Chinese troops escalated into a battle. The conflict then escalated further into a full-scale war. It ended with the unconditional surrender of Japan on 2 September 1945. The museum is located inside the Wanping Fortress near the Lugou Bridge (Marco Polo Bridge) in Beijing's Fengtai District, where the Japanese army waged the invading war. It was opened on the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of Second Sino-Japanese War on 7 July 1987.Since its opening, it has undergone three major and several smaller renovation of the exhibits, the biggest of which was finished in 2005. A significant number of new facilities have been added, such as multimedia displays and video players. The museum both aims at domestic and foreign visitors, and has had several exhibitions outside China over the years.

Wanpingcheng station (Chinese: 宛平城站; pinyin: Wǎnpíngchéng zhàn; lit. 'Wanping Fortress station') is a station on Line 16 of the Beijing Subway. It opened on 30 December 2023, and is the southern terminus of the line.

Wanping Fortress, also known as Wanping Castle (Chinese: 宛平城; pinyin: Wǎnpíng Chéng), is a Ming Dynasty fortress or "walled city" in Fengtai District, Beijing. It was erected in 1638–1640, with the purpose of defending Beijing against Li Zicheng and the peasant uprising. From the beginning, it functioned as a military fortress. From west to east, it measures 640 meters (2,100 ft), and from south to the north 320 meters (1,050 ft), making it a half-square shape. The fortress has two gates: the east gate, named Ever Prosperous Gate (永昌門, Yongchangmen), then renamed as Majestic Gate (威嚴門, Weiyanmen), and the west gate, named Favorably Govern Gate (順治門, Shunzhimen). Wanping witnessed the incident in July 1937 that is reckoned to mark the start of the Second Sino-Japanese War, with an exchange of fire over a minor case of a Japanese soldier missing from his post. For reasons unknown, this escalated into full-scale combat. It is known as the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, and also the Lugou Bridge Incident. The Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, surrounded by a plaza and park with numerous sculptures, occupies a large portion of the space inside the fortress' walls. To the west of the fortress are the Yongding River and the Lugou Bridge (Marco Polo Bridge, 蘆溝橋).

Yushuzhuang station (Chinese: 榆树庄站; pinyin: Yúshùzhuāng zhàn) is a station on Line 16 of the Beijing Subway. The station opened on 31 December 2022, and was the southern terminus of the line until it extended to Wanpingcheng on 30 December 2023.

The Marco Polo Bridge incident, also known as the Lugou Bridge incident or the July 7 incident, was a battle during July 1937 in the district of Beijing between the 29th Army of the National Revolutionary Army of the Republic of China and the Imperial Japanese Army. Since the Japanese invasion of Manchuria in 1931, there had been many small incidents along the rail line connecting Beijing with the port of Tianjin, but all had subsided. In this incident, a Japanese soldier was temporarily absent from his unit opposite Wanping, and his commander demanded the right to search the town for him. When this request was refused, units on both sides were alerted and the Chinese Army fired on the Japanese Army. However, the missing Japanese soldier had already returned to his lines. The Marco Polo Bridge incident is generally regarded as the start of the Second Sino-Japanese War.

The Marco Polo Bridge or Lugou Bridge (simplified Chinese: 卢沟桥; traditional Chinese: 盧溝橋; pinyin: Lúgōu Qiáo) is a stone bridge located 15 km southwest of Beijing's city center in the Fengtai District. It bridges the Yongding River, a major tributary of Hai River. Situated at the eastern end of the bridge is the Wanping Fortress, a historic 17th-century fortress, with the Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression inside. The Marco Polo Bridge is well known because it was highly praised by the Venetian traveler Marco Polo during his visit to China in the 13th century (leading the bridge to become known in Europe simply as the Marco Polo Bridge), and for the 20th-century Marco Polo Bridge Incident, which marked the beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945). In recent years, the water of Yongding River has been diverted to different areas of Beijing, so there is often no water under the bridge.

Fengtai Softball Field, or Fengtai Sports Center Softball Field (simplified Chinese: 丰台体育中心垒球场; traditional Chinese: 豐臺體育中心壘球場; pinyin: Fēngtái Tǐyù Zhōngxīn Lěiqiúchǎng), is a softball stadium located in Beijing, China. It hosted the softball competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics. The complex consists of two competition grounds and one training ground. The stadium has a capacity of 13,000 and a floor space of 15,570 square metres. It also has a backup field with a capacity of 3,500 and two training fields. It was also one of the venues of the 1990 Asian Games and the 1992 Women's Softball World Cup. The stadium's renovation was completed on July 28, 2006, ready for the XI ISF Women's World Championship in late August. It was the first Olympic venue in Beijing to be completed and put to use.

The Beijing Fengtai Stadium (Chinese: 丰台体育场) is a multi-purpose stadium in Fengtai District, Beijing, China. It is currently used mostly for football matches and also sometimes for athletics. The stadium was the home ground of Beijing Renhe between 2016 and 2019. The stadium holds 31,043. The Fengtai Stadium was not used for football during the 2008 Summer Olympics. The venue also served as home ground for Beijing Guoan, the third Chinese sports club with 5 million followers on Weibo after Guangzhou FC and Shandong Taishan, between 2006 and 2008.Beijing Guoan played against the world famous Spanish side FC Barcelona at the Beijing Fengtai Stadium in August 2007. As of 23 November 2023, FC Barcelona had 124 million followers on Instagram. Real Madrid was the only sports club with more Instagram followers then, with 149 million. Paris Saint-Germain stood at 65 million that day, followed by Manchester United with 63 million, Juventus with 59 million and Manchester City with 49 million.
