Warrenton Training Center

The George B. Fitch Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility, commonly acronymized as The WARF, is a town-owned recreation center and accompanying park in Warrenton, Virginia. The Town of Warrenton Parks and Recreation Department is situated within the facility. The facility offers a variety of memberships and day passes to individuals based on their residency. The WARF also hosts various fitness classes and special events for holidays and reservations.

Oakwood is a historic farm property west of Warrenton in rural Fauquier County, Virginia. It is bounded on the south by Old Waterloo Road, and on the west by Great Run, a south-flowing tributary of the Rappahannock River. The main house is a rambling two-story masonry building, whose oldest portions date to the 18th century. Its present appearance has significant Greek Revival features, include a gabled temple-front portico added about 1838. The property is also notable in local culture for hosting the very first Virginia Gold Cup race in 1922.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Loretta, also known as Edmonium, is a historic home located near Warrenton, Fauquier County, Virginia. The house was originally constructed about 1800 as a two-story. single-pile dwelling. In 1907–1908, it was remodeled in the Colonial Revival style. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, L-shaped, three-bay, brick house with a hipped roof built over a raised basement. In addition to the main house the property includes a smokehouse, and a well, both of which date to the early 19th century; and two barns, a corncrib, and two tenant houses, which all date to the early 20th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

It is a branch of the Fauquier County government which administers public schools in Fauquier County. FCPS enrolls approximately 11,287 students in 20 schools (11 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 3 high schools, 1 alternative learning school). The school board is currently led by Chairman Donna Grove, appointed in 2008. The school system finished with a graduation rate of 95.5% for the class of 2017.

Highland School is an independent school located in Warrenton, Virginia. Highland was founded in 1928 by Dorothy Rust and Lavinia Hamilton as the Warrenton Branch of the Calvert School of Baltimore. It was renamed Highland School in 1957 and moved to its current location. As stated in its mission, "Highland School prepares students to thrive, lead and serve in a diverse and dynamic world, developing essential skills and character by challenging them with a demanding academic and co-curricular program." Its upper (high) school was established in 1996. It serves 509 students from twelve counties.

Yorkshire House is a historic home located at Warrenton, Fauquier County, Virginia. It was built in 1938–1939, and is a two-story, 13 bay, brick dwelling in the Modern Movement style. It features a low-pitched slate roof, a horizontal emphasis, a curved corner with continuous steel windows, a large glass block window, an elliptical bay window with steel casements and a foliated, geometric, metal balustrade on the rear balcony. Also on the property are the contributing brick and- stucco garage, a banked stone pump house, and a frame storage shed (c. 1939).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005."

Paradise is a historic house at 158 Winchester Street in Warrenton, Virginia. The oldest portion of this two story timber-frame house was built c. 1758, and is believed to be the oldest building in Warrenton. The central block of the house is three bays, with a side passage plan. It is flanked on either side by two-story wood frame wings. The house exterior was extensively redecorated in 1870, adding a full-width porch and substantial Italianate and Folk Victorian woodwork.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014; it is a contributing element of the Warrenton Historic District, listed in 1983.

Warrenton is a town in Fauquier County, Virginia, of which it is the seat of government. The population was 10,057 as of the 2020 census, an increase from 9,611 at the 2010 census and 6,670 at the 2000 census. The estimated population in July 2021 was 10,109. It is at the junction of U.S. Route 15, U.S. Route 17, U.S. Route 29, and U.S. Route 211. The town is in the Piedmont region of Virginia just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The well-known Airlie Conference Center is 3 miles (5 km) north of Warrenton, and the historic Vint Hill Farms military facility is 9 miles (14 km) east. Fauquier Hospital is located in the town. Surrounded by Virginia wine and horse country, Warrenton is a popular destination outside Washington, D.C. Warrenton shares some services with the county, such as schools and the county landfill. The area was home to Bethel Military Academy.

Dakota is a historic home located near Warrenton, Fauquier County, Virginia. The house was designed by architect William Lawrence Bottomley and built in 1928. It is a two-story, Colonial Revival style dwelling. It has brick facing over a masonry block core; a slate-shingled hipped roof; and a symmetrical five-bay facade with a centered entry with a classical surround. A one-story bedroom wing was added to the right of the house in 1948 and garage addition was added to the left of the house in 1948. Also on the property are the contributing original garage and a stable building. Dakota is located near the site of the former Horse Show Grounds outside of Warrenton.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Sumerduck Historic District is a national historic district located at Sumerduck, Fauquier County, Virginia. It encompasses 19 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in the rural hamlet of Sumerduck. The Reconstruction-era district includes dwellings that date from the late-19th to the mid-20th centuries, stores, churches, a post office, a school, and a public space for meetings. Notable buildings include the Tulloss House (c. 1882), the Henry Broadus Jones House also known as the Santa Claus House or the House of the Seven Gables (c. 1885), the restored Embrey-Mills House (1880s), the Steven Jacobs House (c. 1940), the Union Primitive Baptist Church (c. 1898), Sumerduck Baptist Church (1915), a former school (1887), and Sumerduck Trading Company (c. 1950).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
