England House and Mill

White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located near Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. The current structure was built in 1855, and is a two-story brick structure, nearly as tall (about 40 feet) as it is wide (45 feet). The building measures 63 feet deep. The exterior features brick pilasters and tall stained glass windows. A 1996 addition to the front of the building contains an elevator to the second floor sanctuary and is topped by a steeple. It was preceded by a structure built in 1752. The church was organized as early as 1709 to serve Scotch-Irish Presbyterians at White Clay Creek. The original White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church was built in 1721 about a mile north on the NW Corner of Dewalt Rd and Old Coach Rd. It remains the Old White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Meeteer House is a historic home located at Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. It was built between 1822 and 1828, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, double pile frame dwelling in a vernacular Federal style. It sits on a raised basement and has a gable roof with dormers. Also on the property is a contributing 19th century frame carriage house. The house was built by a prominent paper milling family, the Meeteers.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Rotheram Mill House, also known as Harmony Mills, is a historic home located at Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. The house was built about 1740, as a 1+1⁄2-story, five-bay, gambrel roofed brick dwelling. Before 1775, the roof was raised to a full three-bay second story with a gable roof. It has a two-story rear kitchen wing.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Johnson-Morris House is a historic house at 41 Upper Pike Creek Road in northern New Castle County, Delaware. The core of the main house is a fieldstone farmhouse built c. 1803; it has four bays across and is two stories tall. A two-story ell, extending west from this main block, was added not long afterward. The house remained the central point of a farm until 1937, when it was purchased by Hugh M. Morris, a judge on the bench of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. Between 1937 and 1939, the house underwent a major expansion, adding large ells, and restyling the original with Colonial Revival features. An earlier Colonial Revival transformation funded by Morris is now part of White Clay Creek State Park, part of which abuts this property. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Delaware School for the Deaf (DSD) is a public K–12 school located on East Chestnut Hill Road in Brookside, Delaware, United States; It has a Newark postal address. The Christina School District operates the school, but because it is state-funded, the budget is separate from the rest of the district DSD operates Delaware Statewide Programs for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind.

Ogletown is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Ogletown is located at the junction of Delaware routes 4 and 273, 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Newark. It is common lore that Maryland Bank (MBNA) is "the bank that ate Ogletown", after the State of Delaware awarded MBNA economic incentives to relocate, usurp and raze most of its historic structures and commerce by the late 1980s.

Robert Ferguson House was a historic home located near Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. The original was built between 1790 and 1810, and formed a two-story, two-bay, single pile frame section. A lower, two-story one-room section was added about 1835 and a one-story, two-bay section was added about 1900. Also on the property was a contributing shed.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The buildings were demolished during the widening of Delaware Route 4 in the early 1980s.

The James Morrow House is a historic farmhouse in Newark, Delaware. It was built in the late 1860s by James Morrow, an Irish immigrant who owned a store in Wilmington. The building is locally significant for its unusual architecture, which features both a gambrel roof and a raised basement. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The house has one and a half stories on top of a partially above-ground basement. The facade is symmetrical, with two bays on either side of a flat-roofed porch. The exterior walls are stuccoed with green trim and large sash windows. The house has an asphalt-shingled gambrel roof with bracketed cornices and three gable dormer windows on each side. The house is built from stone and weighs just under 500 tons.The Morrow House originally stood along with a number of outbuildings on a 24-acre parcel of farmland. In 2008, after being empty for a number of years, the house was cut off at the foundation and moved some 300 feet (91 m) to the west in order to clear the site for new development. The owners of the building as of 2023 have since renovated the structure and opened it as coworking space.

The Delaware Sängerbund (German for Singers Alliance, also spelled "Saengerbund") is a German-American club located near Newark, Delaware. The club has close to 1000 members who meet at the club house in Ogletown, Delaware. Besides an active chorus, the club sponsors a Bavarian folk dancing group ("Enzian Volkstanzgruppe"), a Ladies' Auxiliary in charge of food preparation (the "Ladies of the Delaware Sängerbund"), youth soccer teams (the "DSB Kickers"), a teenage group, a genealogy group, and German language classes for both adults and children.

Walnut Lane was a historic home located near Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1835, and is an "L" shaped brick residence. The main house was a 2+1⁄2 story, five bay, single pile structure with a Greek Revival style front portico. It had a two bay brick ell, with a 1+1⁄2 story frame addition.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was demolished before 1992.

John C. Vansant House is a historic home located near Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1810, and is a two-story, stone and frame dwelling with a 1+1⁄2-story, stone and frame addition built about 1936. The house is a double-pile, side hall plan dwelling in the Federal style. Also on the property is a large frame barn (c. 1828, 1936), a frame corncrib (c. 1936), five frame sheds (c. 1936), a stone and frame shed (c. 1936), a frame chicken house (c. 1936), and a frame, open-side equipment shed (c. 1936). In 1980, New Castle County purchased the Vansant property together with the other three properties. These lands constitute about one third of the Middle Run Valley Natural Area.In 1989, New Castle County leased the property to Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research, a licensed, non-profit, wildlife rehabilitation center. The historic barn on the property underwent extensive renovations before the organization fully relocated there in 1992. Since then, more than 30 outdoor aviaries, a storage shed, and a large flight cage for birds of prey have been constructed on the property behind the barn, now known as The Frink Center for Wildlife.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
