James Morrow House

Meeteer House is a historic home located at Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. It was built between 1822 and 1828, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, double pile frame dwelling in a vernacular Federal style. It sits on a raised basement and has a gable roof with dormers. Also on the property is a contributing 19th century frame carriage house. The house was built by a prominent paper milling family, the Meeteers.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Newark High School is a public high school in Newark, Delaware, and is one of three high schools within the Christina School District. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in the state, graduating its first class of students in 1893. In 2009, it saw its 20,000th student graduate. Newark has been named by Newsweek magazine as one of their "Top Schools in America." In 2006 Newark was ranked #521, in 2007 it was #271, and in 2008 it was #1041. This list represents the top 5% of the schools in the nation based on the number of AP, IB, and Cambridge exams taken divided by students graduating. The school was also named a GRAMMY Signature School in 2010 by the GRAMMY Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Newark won the DIAA Sportsmanship Award in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. The school serves a portion of Wilmington. In the suburbs it serves almost all of Newark, most of Brookside, and the Christina School District portions of North Star, Pike Creek, and Pike Creek Valley. Within Wilmington it serves the Church Street Historic District.

The Newark Transit Hub is a bus terminal located in the city of Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. The transit hub serves DART First State buses, with service provided by five local bus routes serving New Castle County. In addition to DART First State buses, the Newark Transit Hub also serves Cecil Transit buses providing service to Elkton, Maryland along with UNICITY buses that serve as a community circulator around Newark. The transit hub opened in 2008.

England House and Mill, also known as Red Mill Farm, is a historic home located at Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. The two-story brick dwelling was built in 1747. The oldest part of the house is believed to be the larger upper level; the smaller lower level having been added later for the miller. The upper level measures approximately 33 feet (10 m) by 32 feet (9.8 m) and the lower level about 29 feet (8.8 m) by 19 feet (5.8 m).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church is a historic Roman Catholic church at 200 E. Main Street in Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. The first congregants of the church were Irish immigrants. The church was dedicated on June 24, 1883, replacing the previous structure built in the late 18th century, after the floor collapsed on Christmas Eve of 1880. The church building is a one-story rectangular brick building with a central tower and three bays on the south front facade.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is maintained and directed by the parish of St. John the Baptist-Holy Angels which houses another worship site at 82 Possum Park Road in Newark.

Joseph Dean & Son Woolen Mill, also known as NVF Company, Newark Fibre Plant, is a historic woolen mill located at Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. The property includes seven contributing buildings and one contributing site. The oldest mill structure is a four-story stone structure with a corbelled brick cornice and flat roof. It is approximately 200 feet (61 m) by 62 feet (19 m) and has a brick fifth story over half its length.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Newark Reservoir is a reservoir in Newark, Delaware, located just north of downtown. Completed in 2006, it holds 317 million U.S. gallons (1.20×109 L) of water pumped from White Clay Creek, which can supply the city for up to 100 days. The site is a popular recreational area with 1.8 miles (2.9 km) of paved walking trails, including a 1.1-mile (1.8 km) trail around the reservoir perimeter. At the north end there is also access to the adjacent William M. Redd, Jr. Park.The reservoir was constructed between 2002 and 2005 after a major drought in 1999 made the need for a reserve water supply clear. The city chose a site on the Koelig farm property off Paper Mill Road, and ground was broken there on May 14, 2002. The completed reservoir was ready to be filled by November 2005, and the new facility was formally dedicated on May 24, 2006. The project cost $20 million in total. It was the first new reservoir to be constructed in Delaware since the Hoopes Reservoir in Wilmington, which was completed in 1932.Aquatic activities are prohibited except during special events, like an annual triathlon that gives competitors the chance to swim in the reservoir. The swimming portion of the 2017 triathlon was canceled due to a cyanobacterial bloom.

White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located near Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. The current structure was built in 1855, and is a two-story brick structure, nearly as tall (about 40 feet) as it is wide (45 feet). The building measures 63 feet deep. The exterior features brick pilasters and tall stained glass windows. A 1996 addition to the front of the building contains an elevator to the second floor sanctuary and is topped by a steeple. It was preceded by a structure built in 1752. The church was organized as early as 1709 to serve Scotch-Irish Presbyterians at White Clay Creek. The original White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church was built in 1721 about a mile north on the NW Corner of Dewalt Rd and Old Coach Rd. It remains the Old White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Building at 34 Choate Street is a historic home located at Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1893 and is a two-story, gable roofed brick single family residence with original trim and front porch still intact. It has a one-story, shed roofed frame rear wing.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Exchange Building, also known as Center Building, Center Hall, and the Grange Building is a historic commercial building located at Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1880 and is a three-story rectangular, stucco coated building with a five bay facade. It features a deep mansard roof enclosing the third floor and covered in slate in the Second Empire style. A prison cell dated to about 1905 is located in the building's basement when, reportedly, a courthouse was located at this address. A barber shop has operated in the same location on the first floor of the Exchange Building for over 100 years. Klondike Kate's, a restaurant, occupies the rest of the ground floor. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Delaware School for the Deaf (DSD) is a public K–12 school located on East Chestnut Hill Road in Brookside, Delaware, United States; It has a Newark postal address. The Christina School District operates the school, but because it is state-funded, the budget is separate from the rest of the district DSD operates Delaware Statewide Programs for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind.
