Horenychi

Anatevka (Ukrainian: Анатевка) is a Ukrainian refugee village that provides food, housing, education, and medical support for refugees resulting from the 2014 Russian invasion and the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The village was established in 2015 and currently houses hundreds of families. The village was established by Harav Moshe Reuven Azman, the chief rabbi of Ukraine and Kyiv. The village is located on the outskirts of Kyiv, near the village of Bilohorodka.

Bilhorod Kyivskyi or Belgorod Kievsky (Ukrainian: Білгород-Київський, romanized: Bilhorod-Kyivskyi; Russian: Белгород Киевский, romanized: Belgorod Kievsky) was a legendary city-castle in Kievan Rus', on the right bank of the Irpin River (now in Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine), that was mentioned in chronicles.

The Battle on the Irpin River was a semi-legendary battle between the armies of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Principality of Kiev. According to the story, Gediminas, the Grand Duke of Lithuania, conquered Volhynia before turning his attention to Kiev. He was opposed by Prince Stanislav of Kiev allied with the Principality of Pereyaslavl and Bryansk. Lithuanians achieved a great victory and extended their influence to Kiev. There are no contemporary sources attesting to the battle. It is known only from late and generally unreliable Lithuanian Chronicles. Therefore, historians disagree whether it was an actual battle in the early 1320s or a fictional story invented by later scribes. Lithuanians gained full control of the city only in 1362 after the Battle of Blue Waters against the Golden Horde.

Bilohorodka (Ukrainian: Білогородка) is a village in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast of north Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Bilohorodka rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine, formed on 12 June 12 2020 and including nine neighbouring villages: Bobrytsia, Horenytsia, Myzychi, Sviatopetrivske, Hnativka, Stoianka, Shevchenko, Nehrashi, and Luka.One of the nine component villages, Hnativka, is perhaps better known by its Hebrew and Yiddish name Anatevka, and is the site of a modern-day refugee village which was named after the fictional town of Anatevka from the Sholem Aleichem stories, including Fiddler on the Roof, stories which were set in this same area of the former Kiev Gubernia.

Kyiv-Sviatoshyn Raion (Ukrainian: Києво-Святошинський район, romanized: Kyievo-Sviatoshynskyi raion) was a raion (district) in Kyiv Oblast of Ukraine, adjacent to the city of Kyiv which served as the administrative center for the raion. The city of Kyiv itself did not belong to the raion. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kyiv Oblast to seven. The area of Kyiv-Sviatoshyn Raion was split between Bucha, Fastiv, and Obukhiv Raions. The last estimate of the raion population was 210,123 (2020 est.). The raion was situated just to the west of the city of Kyiv, and should not be confused with the Sviatoshyn District of Kyiv city, which it bordered and where its administration was located. The raion's name related to the historical area and woodland of Sviatoshyn, which currently is located with the city limits of Kyiv.

Sviatoshynsky Forest Park is a forest park located in the region of Kyiv Polissya on the sandy terrace of the Irpin River in Ukraine. It has the status of a park-monument of landscape art.

The Borshchahivka is a river in Ukraine, flowing through the city of Kyiv and suburban Bucha Raion of Kyiv Oblast. It is a right tributary of the Irpin in the Dnieper basin.

Kyiv Chaika Airfield (Ukrainian: Аеродром «Київ Чайка», also given as Kyiv West) is an airport in Ukraine located in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka (Kyiv-Sviatoshyn Raion, Kyiv Region), about 15 km (9 mi) west of Kyiv. It is a general aviation airfield with Antonov An-2, An-28, and other single-engine aircraft. There is a paved 150 x 45 m tarmac ramp. It is an integral part of the Seagull Sports Complex. An aeroclub is based at the airport, training parachutists and beginners training under the United States Air Force Academy program. The sports complex is adjacent to the suburban residential complex of the same name, which got its name because of its proximity to the airfield.

Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka (Ukrainian: Михайлівка-Рубежівка) is a village in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. It belongs to Irpin urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka is located 16 km west of Kyiv and was formed as a result of the merging of the villages of Mykhailivka and Rubezhivka. It has a population of 3,430.The village is considered to have been founded in 1629.Until 18 July 2020, Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka was located in Kyiv-Sviatoshyn Raion. The raion was abolished that day as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kyiv Oblast to seven. The area of Kyiv-Sviatoshyn Raion was split between Bucha, Fastiv, and Obukhiv Raions, with Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka being transferred to Bucha Raion.On 3 March 2022, the village was captured by Russian forces during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Later, the village was reported to be suffering a humanitarian crisis, alongside other Ukrainian settlements. The village was later liberated by Ukrainian forces on 2 April.

Autodrome Chaika (Ukrainian: Автодром «Чайка», romanized: Avtodrom «Chaika»), formerly known as Chaika Motorsports Complex (Ukrainian: Автомобільний спортивний комплекс «Чайка», romanized: Avtomobilnyi sportyvnyi kompleks «Chaika»), is a motorsport racetrack in Ukraine, situated in Chaiky village, near the capital city Kyiv. The circuit was built in 1975., when the country was a part of Soviet Union, since the foundation of Fédération Automobile de l'Ukraine (FAU) in 1993, it hosts various regional racing series, such as Ukrainian Touring Championship and Superbike Ukraine.

Irpin (Ukrainian: Ірпі́нь, IPA: [irˈp⁽ʲ⁾inʲ] ) is a city on the Irpin River in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast, northern Ukraine. It is located next to the capital Kyiv. Irpin hosts the administration of Irpin urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The city has a population of 65,167 (2022 estimate).The city has a railway station built in 1899. In 2022, it received the title Hero City of Ukraine.During the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the city was damaged by 70%. As of June 25, 2023, the city's mayor reported that most people had already returned: "Yes, we have already returned 85% of the entire city's population. In addition, we have received almost 25,000 internally displaced persons, mostly from the east."

Boyarka or Boiarka (Ukrainian: Боярка) is a city in Fastiv Raion of Kyiv Oblast (region) of Ukraine, about 20 km SW from Kyiv. It hosts the administration of Boiarka urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 34,394 (2022 estimate). The population in 2001 was 35,968.
