Crane Company Building (Chicago)

1000M is an apartment complex in the Historic Michigan Boulevard District portion of Michigan Avenue in the Chicago Loop. Designed by Helmut Jahn and Kara Mann, the building is a 73-story, 832-foot (253.6 m) tall tower located at 1000 South Michigan Avenue. Construction on 1000M began in December 2019 but was halted for a time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It ultimately opened in June 2024. The building was the final project designed by Jahn.

East–West University is a private university in Chicago, Illinois. The university was founded in 1980. It offers associate and bachelor's degrees. The university has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1983.

Sentral Michigan Avenue is a 479-unit apartment building on South Michigan Avenue in the Loop community area, Chicago, Illinois. It is connected to Le Méridien Essex Chicago at 800 South Michigan Avenue. The development was marketed and opened as Essex on the Park, but rebranded as Sentral (stylized as Sen+ral) Michigan Avenue in July 2021.

General John Logan Memorial, also known as the John Alexander Logan Monument, is an outdoor bronze sculpture commemorating John A. Logan by sculptors Augustus Saint-Gaudens and Alexander Phimister Proctor, in a setting by architect Stanford White. Installed in Chicago's Grant Park, in the U.S. state of Illinois, the statue and pedestal sit atop a memorial mound, with a ceremonial stairway leading to the summit.

The Fairbanks, Morse and Company Building is a historic commercial building located at 900 S. Wabash Ave. in the South Loop, Chicago, Illinois. The building served as the national headquarters of Fairbanks, Morse and Company from 1907 to 1937. The company sold a variety of agricultural equipment; while it was originally known for its scales, by 1907 it was best known for producing internal combustion engines. At its peak, the company was one of the largest engine makers in the world, and it was particularly dominant in the diesel engine market. The headquarters building is a seven-story Chicago school building designed by Christian Eckstorm. While the company moved to a larger headquarters at 606 S. Michigan Ave. in 1937, the Wabash Avenue building is the best-preserved remnant of its historic significance and still bears the company's name above the second floor.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 16, 1988.

The 8th Street Fountain was erected in 1927 and was created by architects Bennett, Parsons, and Frost. It is located in Chicago's Grant Park in the U.S. state of Illinois.

The Hilton Chicago (also known as Chicago Hilton and Towers) is a centrally-located luxury hotel in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The hotel is a Chicago landmark that overlooks Grant Park, Lake Michigan, and the Museum Campus. It is the third-largest hotel in Chicago by number of guest rooms; however, it has the largest total meeting and event space of any Chicago hotel. From its opening in 1927 through 2008, every sitting president of the United States had been housed in the hotel before leaving office.

The YMCA Hotel is a historic former hotel located in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. The hotel, which was designed by Robert C. Berlin and James Gamble Rogers, opened in 1916. Originally marketed by YMCA as a cheap residence for young, single men, the hotel began marketing to a wider clientele when the Great Depression created a demand for inexpensive lodging. The hotel's status and customers declined with the surrounding neighborhood, and it closed in 1979; it reopened as an apartment building in 1985. The hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 30, 1989.

Rosenberg Fountain is an outdoor fountain and sculpture by German artist Franz Machtl, installed at Chicago's Grant Park, in the U.S. state of Illinois.

Eleven City Diner is a diner and delicatessen in Chicago, with a second location in Los Angeles. The deli opened in 2006 in the South Loop neighborhood, and was an early example of a new generation of Jewish delis in the United States, inspired in part by the nostalgia of traditional Jewish delis. Eleven City gives out fortune cookies on Christmas Eve, in a reference to the historical tie between Chinese cuisine and Jewish culture. Still sticking to tradition, the diner has its own version of the "Woody Allen" corned beef sandwich invented by the Carnegie Deli in New York City. Eleven City was featured on Season 3 of the Cooking Channel Unique Eats TV show. Its Mexican Scramble was featured on the Food Network. Eleven City is also known for its milkshakes and house-made root beer.The deli formerly had a location in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood which operated from 2013 to 2017.

The Ludington Building is the earliest-surviving, steel-frame building in Chicago, Illinois. It is located in the Chicago Loop community area. It was designed by William Le Baron Jenney and was named a Chicago Landmark on June 10, 1996. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 8, 1980. The Ludington Building "was commissioned by Mary Ludington Barnes for the American Book Company"; presently it is one of twenty buildings that comprise the campus of Columbia College Chicago.

Agora is an installation of 106 headless and armless iron sculptures at the south end of Grant Park in Chicago. Designed by Polish artist Magdalena Abakanowicz, they were made in a foundry near Poznań between 2004 and 2006. In 2006, the Chicago Park District brought the work to Chicago as a permanent loan from the Polish Ministry of Culture. Similar installations have been constructed throughout the world, but Agora is among the largest.
