John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Polish: Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II, Latin: Universitas Catholica Lublinensis Ioannis Pauli II, abbreviation KUL) is a university established in 1918. It is the only private college in Poland with the status of a university.

Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (MCSU) (Polish: Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie, UMCS) is a public research university, in Lublin, Poland. It is named in honour of Marie Curie-Sklodowska. The University was founded on October 23, 1944, by the Lublin Committee during the Second World War. Since then, It has expanded to be the largest university in Eastern Poland, with over 12 Faculties in Lublin, and a satellite campus in Puławy. The University has nearly 16,000 students, who study in over 90 disciplines. Out of those 16,000, over 1,600 are international students, who represent almost 45 different countries.The University belongs to the network of European Universities ATHENA, as well as smaller, regional organisations, such as Union of Lublin Universities (Polish: Związek Uczelni Lubelskich, ZUL). It maintains active contacts with foreign research centres, holding nearly 200 agreements on scientific and educational cooperation with foreign partners. MCSU also holds 330 Erasmus+ agreements, and a One-Year Preparatory Course for foreigners who wish to study Polish.

The University of Life Sciences in Lublin (Polish: Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy w Lublinie) is a multi-profile higher education institution, which integrates a wide range of agricultural, biological, veterinary, technical and socioeconomic sciences in Poland. Although the university was established in 1955, its history stems back to 1944 with the creation of the Agrarian and Veterinary Faculties within the new Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS). In 1955, these two faculties, together with the Faculty of Zootechnics (est. 1953), were spun off to create a new institution, originally called the Lublin Higher School of Agriculture. It was called the Lublin Agricultural Academy from 1972, and took its present name in 2008.

The Lipowa 7 camp (German: Lindenstraße 7 Lager) was a Nazi forced labor concentration camp, primarily for Jews, by Lipowa Street in Lublin, Poland during December 1939 - 1944. In November 1943 nearly all Jewish inmates were exterminated.

Church of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women is an Orthodox cemetery church in Lublin. It belongs to the Cathedral Parish of the Transfiguration in Lublin, within the Lublin Deanery of the Diocese of Lubllin and Chełm of the Polish Orthodox Church. The church was funded by Andrei Dieikun, the president of the Lublin Treasury Chamber. It was built between 1902 and 1903, and its dedication took place on 28 August 1903. From the beginning, it has served as a cemetery church, hosting funeral ceremonies and memorial services for the deceased. The church represents the Russian Revival style in the Moscow-Yaroslavl (Neo-Russian) variant. It is a five-domed structure with a bell tower above the church porch, featuring a tripartite layout and two levels. Services are held in the upper section, where the altar and a single-tier iconostasis are located. The crypt on the lower level contains the tomb of the church's founder and his wife.The building is situated within the Orthodox section of the 19th-century Orthodox cemetery, which is part of a larger cemetery complex on Lipowa Street in Lublin.

Litewski Square (Lithuanian Square) is a square in the center of Lublin, Poland, with an area of about 35 thousand square meters, created in the 1820s to hold military parades. Originally named Drill Square. Litewski Square is the central place in Lublin, where state ceremonies, happenings and other events take place. It is listed in the Register of Historical Monuments under the number A/588 and was entered into the register on 10 April 1972.
